Last chapter:

"Warm up by the fire and I'll grab the first aid kit." Paul said as my hands slid down to let go of him, our fingers touching for a moment as I nodded at him. I can't believe I'm in his house! This whole night has been so embarrassing and now here I am a wounded damsel in need of rescuing. A 'hmph' left my lips as I turned from Paul's receding back to look at the fire

Paul

I turned from her as a small sigh like noise left her perfect lips, I couldn't help but think it was her feeling as I did from our lack of contact. A smile formed on my lips as I walked to the bathroom to retrieve the first aid. Apon returning I saw her twist her head towards me a sheepish smile forming.

"I brought the goods." I said stupidly while lightly shaking the tin first aid kit. Idiot. A soft giggle escaped her lips.

"My hero." Her face instantly heating up as she registered her words. How cute

"I try" I said smacking a grin on my face as hers turned five shades of red darker. I walked over to the coffee table and grabbed her small foot in my hands before placing it on my knee, the scratch on her ankle wasn't too deep but there was some bruising around it which probably didn't feel great.

"This is gunna sting." I warned before placing the alcohol wipe on her cut a grimace of pain spread across her face and shards instantly shot through my brain, like when you feel you're about to fall, it was telling me to stop hurting my mate but I pushed it aside. I'm helping her. I thought to calm my wolf. It seemed to work as I quickly took the wipe away and wrapped her wound.

"Good as new." Her angelic voice said breaking through my train of thought.

"Guess I can head home now." She said. She wants to leave you. A voice in my head said and the shards returned, it hurt, I wanted her to stay. I want her close, so I can protect her, she'll never be hurt again.

"It's late, why don't you stay the night and I'll take you home in the morning?" As the words left my mouth her face seemed to redden again. Or stay forever. I smiled at the thought.

Y/n POV

Did he just ask me to stay over??? My face was burning at this point, the mix of his words and the shy smile creeping across his gorgeous features was really doing a number on me. What do I say?? I seemed to take to long to respond and the smile dropped from his expression.

"You don't have to, I'm not going to force you to stay if you don't want to" the last few words seemed to have a hint of hurt lacing his voice.

"I'll stay!" I said shocking both of us but I wouldn't say no after all he did just save me.

"Great!" He said excitedly before wrapping his toned arms around me.
