"You don't have to, I'm not going to force you to stay if you don't want to" the last few words seemed to have a hint of hurt lacing his voice.
"I'll stay!" I said shocking both of us but I wouldn't say no after all he did just save me.
"Great!" He said excitedly before wrapping his toned arms around me.
Y/n
I'm not gunna lie, being in his arms felt pretty amazing but as soon as they left me all of the tired I felt from the current time of night came crashing down and the exhaustion hit me like a truck. A yawn left my lips as I locked eyes with Paul again.
"So where am I sleeping?" I asked awkwardly shifting my gaze from his piercing eyes down to hands as my thumbs twirled around each other. A soft chuckle escaped the lips of the man across from me.
"You can sleep with me." He said with a shrug.
Paul POV
Her eyes went wide at my words. I just want you close, nothing else. Well... I mean I wouldn't mind but I'm not here to rush you. I thought, a smile forming on my lips as her blush deepened across the bridge of her perfect nose.
"Thanks for saving me but I'm not that type of girl." She said, putting emphasis on her words as she pushed herself off the couch and into a wobbly stance.
"If that's were you think tonight's going I'd rather you take me back to Billy's." She said harshly while putting her hands on her hips.
"No! No that's not what I meant at all. I'm not that type of guy either I just meant sleep in my bed, like share it with me no funny business involved." I found myself standing as well as my hands were above my head showing a sign of surrender.

"Promise?" She asked gazing up at me with her tired eyes.
"I mean unless you want to." I teased with a wink to which she shoved my chest and began to limp towards the door.
"I was kidding! Come on, it's was a joke! Don't go it's late just come and we'll sleep and nothing else." I said everything within me pleading that she wouldn't leave, wouldn't reject my offer, wouldn't reject me.
"Ugh, fine! But only cause I'm super tired and my foot hurts!" She said with a tired sigh before turning towards me. Yes!
"Where's your room?"
"This way, want help getting up the stairs?" I asked reaching towards her until my hand lightly touched her arm. The feeling of her skin on mine again was amazing.
"I think I've got it." She said slipping out of my grasp before attempting the steps which resulted in her losing her balance and tripping into my arms.
"I didn't think you'd fall for me this quickly." I winked down at her a light blush covered her checks as she lightly punched my chest.
"Shut up." She said as a yawn escaped her perfect lips. And I marched up the stairs with the tired beauty in my arms. When I reached my room I placed her down in a chair.
"This is kind of embarrassing but, do you have anything I can sleep in? I'm currently wearing jean shorts and they aren't to comfy." She asked while tugging at the sleeves of my jacket. God she's adorable.

Scorched - The Winter Winds (LitRPG)
Frank Ebner once wanted to save the world. Let the second one be better than the first. On Earth he was a student of... well it hardly matters anymore. It was dying, and he and the rest of his fellows and friends studying how to stave off the end graduated just in time to be told it was too late. That there was not enough time, funds, will, to stop it anymore. That the governments and the worthies of the world had moved from trying to stop it, to surviving the oncoming apocalypse, while blaming each other. That was a world Frank wanted nothing to do with. One riven by wars for places in the Archologies going up, and between them and the dying world they were leaving behind. So when a strange voice offered him a way out, to a world unmarred by the poison killing his? Frank took it. The voyage changed him, made him fit his new world, one of stats and magic. It came with perks, for in passing through their Heavens, they'd been exposed to Divinity, and taken some of the Celestial within them. Heroes now, but there are heroes, and there are Heroes. The nobility of the Empire care only for those who carry blessed bloodlines, and their time to adapt and train up for the new world is limited. Patrons are scarce among those like Frank, with only the base Hero perks, and magic studies expensive and lengthy. Often requiring heavy Oaths to gain the necessary aid to wield mana as a mage. Frank found another way. It nearly cost him his life. Now on the run and burned by the very magic he sought and craved, he is a pilgrim traveling to the The Eternal Tree, font of Perseverance. Frank hopes Ir-karlak will grant him some way to recover from the fires that scorched him. Without snuffing out the embers those fires lit within, for he has learned to harness them and he would not give up magic for the world. *** In the last 21 days, as I update this, I've managed about 18-19 updates. So Scorched should update most days, muse willing. She's fickle, sometimes. Not every day, but most. If there's an update for the day, it will be at 7PM, GMT+2. *[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Actually completed it. :) *

Beyond the Veil
Martin's life would never be the same. He somehow survived a massacre by shady men in black, only to discover they were conspiring with the police. What was he going to do now? But where one life ends, another life begins. One that will learn of magic, and the world beyond the veil. This is a complete rewrite of my first story, The World Beyond the Veil. This is not the same story. Not even a single sentence has been copy-pasted from the original fiction. Readers of the original will recognize a lot of elements, but there are more and more differences as the story progresses. The fiction is planned as a trilogy. The first volume is published. Regarding one of the tags:Sexual Content: There are no explicit sex scenes in the story. On the other hand, it is definitely a story meant for an adult audience, with plenty of references to sex and genitalia. If you're not comfortable with that, maybe steer away from this story. I am very interested in feedback. Let me know if you spot a plot hole or something else that seem off to you.
