Doc entered the cottage carrying a thick purple book with golden shiny pieces in each corners, He placed the book on his desk and flipped through a few pages, He read that page and listed the ingredients he will need to create the thing it indicates
Later, he came back with a huge sack with the ingredients he searched and all the necessary apparatus he needs, he excitedly sat on his chair and opened the page
"Hi Doc!" Bashful popped out of nowhere and greeted making Doc turn to him in shock "Oh, it's you Bashful! You startled me!" Doc huffed "Sorry... I guess you should start expecting me popping out randomly" Bashful apologized and chuckled "It's ok Bashful.." Doc gave him an assuring smile and turned back to his book
"Whatcha doing?" Bashful asked curiously as he walked next to him "I figured you may ask that" Doc showed him his book " 'Sorcery, Spells, and Potions' " Bashful read out loud "You're gonna do magic stuff??" Bashful asked in excitement "Yes. Well... Actually, I'm just gonna do a shrinking potion. It's one of the easiest ones and the ingredients are easy to find. Baby steps.." Doc explained
"Do you need any help?" Bashful offered "It's ok Bashful.." Doc simply stated and took out a beaker "Can I help? Please Doc. It could be done faster!" Bashful pleaded "Well... If you insist then.. Ok!"
They started to work on the potion, Bashful handed Doc everything he needs and Doc mixed it all together, half an hour later, they finished the potion.
"Thanks for helping Bashful, It's perfect!" Doc remarked "What makes you so sure?" Bashful asked "Well... It looks perfect, it's not dense, the temperature is just right, it looks edible and it doesn't seem to be acidic" Doc observed "Woah! You lost me at 'not' " Bashful giggled "Now to try it on something... But where?" Doc asked at he scanned around

"Ooh! Try it on me Doc!" Bashful volunteered as he raised his hand up "I dunno Bashful... The only possible flaw it would make is if it doesn't work.. I guess it's appearance just makes it look perfect" Doc thought "Well.. The way you said it makes it sound successful, plus, I don't have anything to do at all!" Bashful said "Well.. It's worth a shot!" Doc gave Bashful the potion and he drank it
Bashful got disgusted with the unusual flavor but he waited for it's function... Nothing happened "Nothing's happening!" Doc looked at his book and noticed a smudge of dirt covering an ingredient "Uh oh.. It looks like we missed one ingredient.." Doc said sadly and closed the book "I can't believe I failed at this.." Doc started to feel unhappy
Bashful went beside him "Doc, you're the greatest and smartest guy I know, everything you do is successful!" Bashful comforted "Yeah.. But not this one..." Doc responded "But just because you failed doesn't mean you can't try again. Doc... You're amazing... I like you as yourself" Bashful felt his face heat up
"Gee...uh....I never thought you would say that to me... Thanks Bashful" Doc rubbed the back of his head and smiled shyly "C'mon. Let's get some rest" Doc suggested and Bashful nodded
They both went to the living room together.
