"he talked to you?" Ella asked, turning on her side to face me. We were laying down in the bed, watching Netflix. Running a hand through my hair, I layed on my stomach before burying my head in the pillow.
"No. It's my fault since I've been avoiding him." I said, muffled. She groaned before getting up, "I'll be right back."
I grunted in response, closing my eyes. The door opened again shortly after, my head pulling up from the pillow to glance at who came in. It was him.
Huffing, I shook my head. "The guys are leaving in three days." Hayes said, bending over next to me to grab his shirt off the ground.
I frowned, realizing how fast this month has went by. Biting my lip, my eyes burned as I flipped on my side to face the other direction. "Mal?"
What happened to baby girl? I cleared my throat, mumbling,"Yeah?"
"Are we good?" he asked. No.
"Hey, Mal, the-" Ella stopped mid-sentence, spotting Hayes. I shot her a look, and he sighed, leaving the room with a glance my way.
Ella smiled at me,"The boys want you."
I thinned my lips, raking a hand through my hair, "Seriously?"
Sitting up, I snatched a pair of Adidas joggers, pulling them on. Ella followed me downstairs, and I stopped in the kitchen where everyone was at.
Gilinsky grinned my way,"We're going to the beach."
My eyebrows pulled together as I glanced out the window. "It's 9:12 at night. It's dark, what will we do there?"
"We're about to leave, so get ready, babes." Cameron sent me a nod. I huffed, biting my tongue before making my way back upstairs where Ella was already laying on the bed.

I glanced over at the window again, sighing,"Are you coming to the beach with me?"
"I guess, you have any bathing suits for me?" she asked, sitting up. I shrugged, "You have better luck finding it yourself."
She nodded, rummaging through the drawers. In each hand, she held up a piece of fabric, spinning around to grin suggestively at me. She tossed me the black one. Holding it up, I shrugged at it before turning to change in the bathroom.
The boys called for us, so I quickly threw my hair up in a ponytail and pulling over a random Tommy Hilfiger T-shirt over my bathing suit to cover up.
Ella eyed me up and down,"Is that Hayes' shirt?" I looked down, shrugging before grasping my phone and jogging downstairs with Ella. Cameron shot a longing glance towards Ella before smirking to himself.
Oh my Lord! I looked at Ella who was in a blushing mess, laughing. I passed Hayes who shot me a confused look when I ignored him. Sighing, I chewed on the inside of my cheek in thought as we headed outside.
"Malaya, the hell, you're going to get cold." Shawn stared down at my bare legs. I rolled my eyes, "It's 76° degrees, I'm fine."
He threw up his arms in defense before walking towards a different vehicle. Hayes fell into step next to me, eying me up and down."Is that my shirt?"
I looked at him for a moment, not answering. Ella shot me a smile before leaving me behind with him. Good friend.
He lifted his snap back off his head, running a hand through his hair before placing it back,"Can we talk?"
I shot a glance his way before shrugging. Hayes only bit his lip, "Did I do something?" Nah Durhh.

"What's there to talk about?" I asked, ignoring his last question.
He looked at me for a minute before shaking his head, "You're avoiding me, Malaya, don't act like you haven't. I just don't understand what I've done."
"I don't want to be around you, right now, okay?" I gritted my teeth.
He caught onto my arm before I opened the door to Ella's car, glancing back over his shoulder to see if anyone was watching, "You're fucking lying."
I eyed him, "How do you know?"
"You keep biting your lip, you always do when you're lying or nervous." he explained, catching me off guard.
I regained myself, releasing my lip from between my teeth in realization. "Whatever." I grumbled before slamming the car door in his face.
"What was that about?" Ella asked, both of our gazes falling on Hayes who was walking towards the jeep.
I looked at her,"I don't know."
