" so many people here." Ella mumbled, blocking the sunlight with her hand. I nodded, glancing at Hayes who was talking to one of the girls that he met by the beach.

Frowning, I shook my head. We're not together, I should not care.

I sighed, "It's boring, can't we just go home?"

Grace gasped, bringing a hand to her heart,"No!"

Ella smiled at me, "Don't take it to heart. He's trying to make you jealous, if you've saw how many times he's glanced your way, you'd wonder if he's even laying attention to that girl."

"Get him back, that boy who whistled at you earlier is shooting you some looks." Grace pointed at earring boy. He was really cute.

Biting my lip, I shrugged."I could try." They nodded, and I took a deep breath. I walked past Hayes who glanced at me, hopeful eyes I was coming towards him, but I passed him, stopping behind the boy.

I cleared my throat,"Hi." The boy glanced over his shoulder, his pink lips turning up in a grin.

"Hey, babe, what's your name?" Babe?

"Malaya." I mumbled, thinning my lips.

He nodded, "Dylan."

I regretted this already."Cute," I smiled.

"You have a boyfriend?" he asked and I shook my head.

His eyes scanned over me once more, licking his lips, "Wanna go somewhere?" My eyebrows knitted in confusion.

"No she would not." Hayes almost growled in the boy's face where he came from behind me. I backed up in surprise, blinking the sun out of my eyes.

"Who are you?" Dylan smirked.

Hayes gritted his teeth,"Her boyfriend, who are you?" Oh my Lord.

"Hayes, let's just go." I muttered under my breath, glaring at him. Hayes shot me a glance before Dylan mumbled something to where I couldn't hear it.

That's when Hayes lunged for him causing me to gasp. I gripped Hayes arm, pulling at him, "Benjamin!"

Cam and Nash pulled Hayes off while Shawn tugged me away from the fight. "Mal, are you okay?"

I shook my head, "I have to go see Hayes."

"He's really mad right now, he'll hurt you."

I shoved Shawn off me, "Why would he hurt me?" I spun on my heel, going towards where Taylor was. He was talking to Cam. "Where's Hayes?"

They looked at me, thinning their lips, "He doesn't want to see you right now."

"I don't care." I gritted my teeth, glaring at them. Taylor sighed, looking at Cameron. They were talking silently under their breath.

"They went over to the cars, Nash is trying to calm him down." Cameron mumbled. I thanked him, shooting the girls a look before leaving to the parking lot.

Biting my lip, I heard talking near the Jeep. I turned the corner, spotting Nash and Hayes. Nash was facing my way, seeing me. His eyes went wide before he shook his head at me. Rolling my eyes, I kept walking, my feet burning from the hot pavement.

Hayes turned around, glancing at me before huffing and muttering something to Nash. What did I do? "Can I talk to Hayes for a second?" I asked, reaching their sides.

"No."

"Yes." Nash said in unison with Hayes' no.

Nash sighed,"I'll leave you two alone." After he left, Hayes turned away from me. I moved to where I was across from him, his head bowed. I walked to where he towered over me, glancing up at his face.

His lip was busted while his eyebrow had a gash across it. I shuddered, shaking my head, "Why'd you go Hulk on him?"

Hayes grunted,"He's a fucking pussy."

"Apparently not if he busted you up." I muttered.

Hayes glared at me, my whole body going cold in fear. "You want to see what I did to him, Malaya?" I shook my head, backing away which seemed to make him furious.

Gupling, I glanced around to see if anyone was around just to avoid eye contact. "What'd he say that pissed you off?" I whispered.

"It doesn't matter, and it never will." he seethed, stepping closer to me so I was pressed up against the side of the Jeep,"Don't ask again."

I thinned my lips, nodding. I glanced down, following his hand to where it rested at my hip. Looking back up, his face only centimeters away.

"I'm sorry." I mumbled, feeling the need to apologize. This wouldn't have happened if I didn't go over to Dylan to make him jealous.

Hayes backed his head away a little, confused. "Why?"

I bit my lip, shaking my head, "It doesn't matter." Hayes huffed while glancing slightly to the side, his minty breath fanning my cheek. I breathed, wanting to be closer.

"I'll find out." he muttered, coldly. Licking my dry lips, I looked down. His hand stayed at my hip where it aimlessly traced circles. He didn't seem to notice his actions which I blushed at.

I eyed his face, his blue eyes darkening. I breathed, feeling him lean in. Our lips brushed before he backed away, my eyebrow arching in confusion. "We should get back to the others."

I chewed on my lip, "I'm going to stay here." I shoved him away from, glancing over at Grace's truck. He shrugged, beginning to walk away. Are you serious? I thought.

This is when I realized he doesn't care about me, not even a little bit. I was just another easy target, and he got what he wanted because I was stupid enough to not see through those interested glances where there was nothing. I should've known it was all for the kisses.
