"Lele, stop."

"Why?"

"Because, I'm trying to work and you're distracting me."

"But I'm bored!" Chenle whined, laying the upper half of his body across the counter.

"Go find Jieun and bother her. I'm actually trying to keep my job this time." Jisung said, wiping down a cup then placing it under the coffee maker.

"I wanna bother you though. It's more fun."

Jisung just sighed," Look Lele, I don't know how much you know about relationships but, you should really be spending time with Jieun right now. Almost all of your attention should be on her since she's the apple of your eye right? I'm pretty sure she's wondering why her own boyfriend is spending more time with his friend than with his girlfriend."

It really hurt the younger saying all of that. He hated it, so much. He wanted Chenle for himself. But no, Chenle chose Jieun, and being the good friend he is, Jisung decided to respect the elder's choice.

Chenle wasn't his and probably never will be. He just had to fucking suck it up and 'man up'.

"You're right. But she's been really busy with her club work these days and I don't want to be a burden to her." Chenle stood back up and averted his gaze down to his fiddling fingers.

"I'm busy with work but I don't see you leaving me anytime soon."

"You know what? I hate it when you're right. It ticks me off." The elder huffed and crossed his arms, as to which Jisung responded with internally busting the biggest uwu.

"Does it tick you off enough for you to leave me alone?"

Chenle gave the younger a teasing smirk,"Nope."

"Fuck you Zhong Chenle."

"You wish."

Chenle still haven't left Jisung's workplace at the bakery. The elder male was now sitting at one of the tables nearest Jisung's post.

"I can't believe Doyoung-hyung hasn't kicked you out yet." Jisung stated, taking a sip from his paper cup filled with hot chocolate.

"It's because he loves me." Chenle replied, giving the younger a smug smile.

"I can't with you." Just as Jisung finished his sentence, the jingling of bells snapped the younger's attention towards the door.

"Welcome to Do's Cakes, how may I help you today?" Jisung recited, as he had said those same exact words a billion times before. It was like a second nature to him.

"Oh, hey Jisung!" Greeted the female, waving her hand.

"Hey Ji—"

"Jieun!" Chenle shot up from his seat and made his way towards the girl, enveloping her in a warm embrace.

He pulled away for a second and placed a long kiss on her lips.

Jisung's heart slowly cracked and ached at the scene in front of him. It felt like dozens of pins and needles were constantly jabbing at his heart. He visibly frowned upon the sight of the two, as he averted his gaze elsewhere, unable to look at them any longer.

It were times like these where he would feel like complete shit. He would realize once again that Chenle would never be his. It was a constant reminder for him, and he hated it with a passion.

"Jisung, can we get an order of your special red velvet cake?" Jieun asked politely.

"Huh? Oh yeah, sure. That'll be twelve dollars and sixty cents. Two slices right?"

"No, one is fine." She responded as she handed over the money but Chenle stopped her, giving Jisung his credit card instead.

"Consider this a date to make up the time we lost. So, it's my treat." The elder male insisted, making the female blush, flattered by his offer.

Jisung rolled his eyes and swiped Chenle's card, throwing the card back to Chenle quite rudely. You really couldn't blame the boy for his actions, he was most definitely jealous and his heart was slowly shattering.

Chenle noticed the younger's change in mood but decided that conversation would be saved for another time, as he has a date to attend to at the moment.

Once the two lovebirds had settled down at a table, Jisung begrudgingly went to go get their slice of cake. He took out the already sliced cake in the display case and placed it on the back counter, then he pulled out a plate in one of the cupboards above him.

As he placed the slice onto the plate, he could practically hear the two's laughter echoing off the almost empty bakery's walls. They sounded so happy with each other while Jisung was just drowning in his own sorrows.

If this was what love apparently felt like, he absolutely despises it with a burning passion.

"Here's your cake, enjoy you two." He said, as he placed down the plate and two forks.

There was definitely some kind of bitterness in Jisung's tone but he did well to hide it as much as he could.

Before he could go back to gather his stuff as his shift was about to end, Chenle held him back.

"Wait, before you go, have a bite Jisungie!" The elder held out a small piece of cake on his fork, motioning for Jisung to eat it.

"No, it's fine Lele. Shouldn't Jieun get the first bite instead of me?" As much as Jisung just wanted to take the first bite, he couldn't let himself.

"Yeah, shouldn't I get the first bite?" He heard Jieun say quietly under her breath.

"You know, I won't let you leave before you take a bite." Chenle stated stubbornly.

So, Jisung had no choice but to lean down and eating the small piece of cake of the latter's fork.

"There, you happy now?" Jisung asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Not quite, got a little something over there." Chenle said, pointing to an area on his mouth.

Jisung thought the elder was mirroring him so he proceeded to wipe the area. With the response Chenle gave after his attempt, he guessed that he'd totally missed it.

"Y'know what, I'll just go get a tissue from the counter it's all—" The younger was abruptly interrupted when Chenle took him by his collar and pulled the latter down to his height.

"It's right here you dumbo." Chenle then took his free thumb, and wiped off the small amount of cream on the corner of the younger's mouth.

Jisung's face flared up in multiple shades of red, as he was not expecting to be this close to the elder male.

Jieun, on the the other hand, stared at the two. She didn't want to admit it but, they looked like they were made for each other. As much as she hated it, it was true.

She couldn't help but feel a tinge of jealousy run through her veins, seeing how Chenle looked at Jisung with such fondness and endearment.
