Third wheeling was something Jisung despised. Third wheeling is exactly what he was doing right now too.
Chenle thought it was a good idea to drag Jisung along with him and his girlfriend, to the town fair. So there the younger was, walking behind the two, glaring at their intertwined fingers.
He didn't understand why Chenle would make him third wheel like this. Was he trying to make Jisung snap?
Seeing that the two were so engrossed with each other, Jisung just decided to leave the two alone. It's not like they'll miss him anyways.
Being annoyed and hungry, he went to one of the concession stands and bought himself two hotdogs. Sitting himself down on one of the tables near the stands, he picked up one of his hotdogs and harshly bit off a piece.
Jisung wanted to bang his head against a brick wall. Just why did Chenle have to drag him here? All he was going to do was be an awkward third wheel.
"You tired of third wheeling too?" A voice spoke up, gaining the younger's attention.
His head snapped up to meet his hyung's gaze.
"You bet, Nana hyung." He responded, taking another bite out of his hotdog.
"Let me guess, Chenle and Jieun?"
"Oh wow, is it that obvious?" Jisung asked, sarcasm lacing his words.
Jaemin simply chuckled and sat himself in the seat in front of Jisung.
"I'm third wheeling Reno."
"Reno?"
"Renjun and Jeno."
"Ah."
Na Jaemin was one person that knew of his crush on Chenle. He entrusted him with this information because he really needed an outlet. If he kept this all to himself, he knew he would've snapped much sooner.
Jaemin was someone that suffered a similar issue as him. They were each other's outlets, letting out their feelings whenever they needed. There were even some instances where they would stay up all night on the phone talking.

He was thankful that Jaemin agreed to help him through this. The elder even tried to concoct a plan to get Jisung and Chenle together. Yeah, he was a hardcore Chensung shipper alright.
"Any process with Renjun and Jeno?" Jisung asked.
"No, not really. They do acknowledge me from time to time but most of their attention is on each other." The elder pouted, being all sulky.
"If you don't mind me asking, how is it like having two crushes?" Jisung never actually knew much about polyamory.
He was curious and wanted to ask but was afraid that he'd say something offensive. Now that he was quite close to Jaemin, he hoped the elder would educate him on the topic.
"It's tough. Like a double hit right here." Jaemin pointed to his heart.
"Really? Excuse my uncultured self but is it fine if I ask exactly how you became polyamorous?"
Jaemin saw how cautious and afraid Jisung looked. He guessed the younger was afraid to offend him in any way with his curiosity.
"Well, it all started when I met those two dodo birds. You know that I'm a naturally affectionate and flirty person, so do they. At first, I started to notice how I acted less like my usual self around Jeno. When I tried, I would get totally embarrassed. Same with Renjun.
It was weird at first. I thought that I couldn't possibly like two people at once, right? Long story short, I spent almost a whole ass 6 months trying to figure this out. Then, I stumbled upon something called polyamory. I realized that I liked them both. Equally. I would want to date both of them. I don't want to break up the relationship that they have now, that's why I haven't really made any moves.
They seem really happy together. I'm really starting to think there's no room for me. Jisung, should I just give up?" Jaemin looked up at the younger, searching for an answer.

Jisung didn't see this coming, but he decided to be truthful. Telling Jaemin exactly what was on his mind.
"I would still try. I've seen how Jeno and Renjun treat you. They absolutely adore you, hyung. If that isn't some kind of sign, then I don't know what is."
Jaemin's eyes widened a bit at Jisung's words.
"T-They adore me?"
Jisung nodded his head confidently," I mean, they have your picture as their home screens, soooo--"
"tHeY hAvE wHaT?!"
Jisung laughed at Jaemin's reaction. He may or may not have snuck onto Jeno's and Renjun's phones during lunch a few days ago and went through their messages.
What? If Jaemin can make a plan for him and Chenle to get together, who said he couldn't do the same thing? He found some pretty good tea too so it was a win-win situation.
"All I'm saying is that, go for it hyung." They were so into their conversation, they didn't even notice their phones vibrating like crazy on the table.
Texts upon texts and calls upon calls were sent to the duo's phones by three certain boys. To say those three were worried was an understatement. They were beyond that.
"Where could he be?" Chenle muttered to himself, staring at the stupid 'delivered' under his texts.
"Babe, what's wrong? Ever since your friend went off on his own, you seemed on edge. Are you good?" Jieun looked at Chenle with a concerned look.
"I'm just worried. He should've just stuck with me instead of going off on his own. He isn't answering his phone either so everything's just peachy." The female studied him for a moment.
Chenle was never this upset when she went off to do her own thing. So why was he so upset about his friend going off on his own?
Pushing the thought aside, she went to console the distressed male. "It's okay, we'll go and find him once we get down from here okay?"
After they were done with their rounds on the ferris wheel, the two set off to find Jisung. Chenle was obviously more anxious as time went by without any sight of the boy.
"Maybe his phone died and he's back at home?" Jieun suggested, stopping him in his tracks.
Turning around, he saw how exhausted his girlfriend looked.
"Jieun, why don't you just go home, yeah? I don't want to tire you out anymore than I already have." Leaving a soft kiss on her lips, he lead her to the entrance of the fair, seeing her off.
He went back into the fair. By now, the sun was starting to set and people were starting to leave. Just as he was about to round the corner, he saw the boy he was looking for sitting at a table across from a pink haired male.
Marching his way over to the table he automatically enveloped Jisung in a bone crushing embrace.
"Holy--Lele?"
"Do you know how worried I was? I couldn't find you anywhere! Why didn't you answer my calls or texts?"
"What do you mean?" Once Chenle let go of him, he picked up his phone, opening it and seeing the hundreds of calls and messages Chenle had left him.
His eyes widened at the amount and he instantly felt bad about not checking his phone sooner.
"I'm sorry Lele, I didn't know."
Chenle let out a sigh," It's fine Ji. Just don't go off on your own next time okay? I was worried sick."
On the other hand, Jaemin stared at the two with a sly smirk on his face. He knew for a fact Chenle had some kind of feelings for the younger. After all, why in the hell would he leave his date just to look for his so-called 'friend'?
