《Harley Quinn x Reader Oneshots》Harley vs Joker

"Oh puddin', please can we keep her," Harley begged.
"Of course we can Harl. I wanted to keep her anyway," Joker insisted.
"Yay!" Harley squealed. Then you were grabbed roughly by their henchmen and thrown into the back of a car.
That was a week ago. Since then, you'd moved into The Joker and Harley's mansion which was a big change from your old house. The mansion was huge and it was decorated with gold everywhere, showing off that they really were the King and Queen of Gotham City. Not all of it was great though - you'd often hear The Joker getting into a rage and beating Harley and it wasn't uncommon to see large muscly men (his goons) wondering around your new 'home'. Still, you were going to have to adjust to it because this was your life now and there was no way they were letting you go home anytime soon. Strangely, they had taken quite a liking to you anyway so at least you were not being tied down and tortured by them like you had expected.
It was time for dinner and The Joker and Harley always insisted that you all eat together at the table, sometimes joined by Frost or some of the other henchmen. Today, however, you saw that it would only be you three eating together. They smiled when they saw you come in and Harley patted the seat next to her. But The Joker saw and quickly pulled you onto his lap. "No fair puddin'," Harley pouted. "I wanted ta sit with (Y/N). I asked first!"
"Too slow, Harley girl. As usual," he added with a smirk. Harley just frowned and stabbed her fork into food. You shifted a little uncomfortably. It always made you feel awkward when they fought over you. The Joker began running his fingers through your hair. You tried to relax but it was hard as you knew how he treated Harley. Still - better to stay in his good books, especially as he was clearly intent on getting you to like him more than Harley. Harley had suddenly perked up though.

"Oh (Y/N), I completely forgot, I was shoppin' this mornin' and I bought ya somethin'!" She put a small box on the table in front of you. You opened it and saw a beautiful jewelled bracelet.
"It's beautiful Harls. Thanks so much," you smiled and put it on. The Joker didn't seem to care though.
"I have something better for you (Y/N)." He placed a bigger box in front of you and when you opened it, it had a necklace inside with a large diamond.
"Oh um...thanks." You had a feeling he only bought it to upstage Harley. Harley glared.
"How could ya Mistah J! Ya knew I was plannin' ta give (Y/N) a present today so ya went and bought somethin' more expensive," she whined.
"I forgot that was today," he said unconvincingly. "And I can't help it that I bought a better present than you. (Y/N) hold your hair back so I can put it on for ya." You did as he said and let him out it on. Harley was still mad.
"Bought it? What a liar! I actually paid for the present and I bet ya just stole it!" Harley snapped.
"So? Your money would have been stolen so what's the difference?" he asked as he fastened the necklace. "Oh (Y/N) it looks beautiful!" You smiled a little.
"Thanks." Harley just growled.
"I'm so sick of you Mistah J! Ya always ruin everythin' for me!" You sighed and just left the room before they started fighting.
--
That night, you were in your room when you heard Harley and Joker come up to bed. They had been unusually quiet for the rest of the day and you knew it would just be the calm before the storm. They got ready and then you heard them start to talk. "Tell the truth, you knew I was gonna give her that present today," Harley hissed.

"Alright. Fine. I did. But (Y/N) would be so much better off with me anyway," The Joker replied.
"With the way you treat women?" Harley retorted.
"How dare you?!" The Joker got angry then. He growled and backhanded Harley across the face. Then he hit her twice more. He threw her out of their bedroom and slammed the door. You heard a soft sobbing sound from outside your door and small sniffles too. Slowly, you went to the door and opened it slightly.
"Harl?" you whispered. She jumped a little and turned round, her eyes full of fear, but calmed down when she realised it was you. "Hey it's ok...wanna come in my room tonight?" Harley nodded and you held her hand, took her into your room and shut the door. She lay down with you and burst into tears. You hugged her tightly. "It's ok Harl. I can look after you. I'm here now."
"Thanks," she sniffled. "I want us ta leave. Go somewhere else together. But...I have ta know...do ya love me more than J?" You nodded.
"Of course I do." You stroked her cheeks and wiped her tears away. You ran your finger over the new bruise that was there. "How could he do this to you?" you whispered.
"He's jealous. He wants ya ta be with him and not me," she cried.
"I would never be with him after he treated you this way." She stared into your eyes before moving closer and pressing her lips against yours. You kissed her deeply. "I love you Harl."
"I love you too (Y/N). We better sleep now and then tomorrow, we'll escape."

MC is strong from the word go and he has a specific goal. He's also learned many skills before the beginning of the novel, so don't expect a murderhobo for levels. That being said, the mc will grow stronger and will have become so strong (not overpowered) by the end of the first book. There are many races besides humans but they are not the main focus of the story, so they will only appear when the plot involves them. This novel is dedicated to the late William Wilberforce. *** I made the cover picture from picart. Original images don't belong to me. If you are the owner and you want it removed just pm me.
