I stopped my car right behind Gabriel's car, Today was mom's birthday and she was taking the whole family into an old town somewhere. It took 2 hours to got there from home.

Ayden left to NYC Tomorrow morning, we had a dinner with mom and gabriel. They loved him already, Jacob looked so interested with some of Ayden's movie. And i loved to see Ayden interacted with Jacob.

I got out from my car then closed the door behind me, Gabriel looked at me he was making sure that i was okay for driving for 2 hours.

"You okay sis?" He asked me and i nodded.

That day dress code was all about cowboy, mom turned 50 but she wanted us to wear a cowboy outfit. Well since I had been away from her so i followed what ever she wanted us to wear, i wore a dark blue skinny jeans and a red cowgirl shirt that being folded onto my arm. I let loosen the upper bottom which reveals my black tank, i also wore a high knee brown leather boots.

"This is the place where we used to go with dad right?" I asked as i walked passed gabriel.

"Yes a really long long time ago" he said.

My mom invited her friends which dresses up as a cowgirl too, i looked at them and it felt like I was looking at my group of friends when we're getting old.

"Don't be so confused you're going to celebrate you 50th birthday just like this" Gabriel teased me before walking away from me.

Laura was standing next to me while Jacob started to walk following Gabriel making their way into the big lake.

"I admit it, the view is really pretty" Laura said which made me looking around and found a farm house, a large field and a huge lake.

"Oh let's get inside everyone" my mom said which caught my attention.

Laura and i began to get into the house with all my mom's friends. I hope Ayden or maybe sarah was here to accompany me, it would probably be so boring.

The bodyguards were helping us to put our stuff inside of the big white house, the place where the rest of us were going to stay for a few days. I didn't know if i could stand it to live in this old town with my family and my mom's friends that long. I rather go back to England and started to work back to the hospital.

I entered my room that had a balcony with a really cool views from the lake, i could see Gabriel and Jacob were throwing some rocks into the lake.

I loved to see Jacob, a smile appeared on his face. Such a happy little boy, he was turning 7 very soon and it was sad that I missed 6 years of his life.

I began to unpack my things then i remembered that I brought one jar of cookies that didn't fit mom's suitcase so she put one of the jar in my suitcase. I opened the wardrobe and it looked so dirty it had a lot of dust in it, i hold my breath then closed it. I thought it was better to keep my clothes inside of my suitcase.

I brought the jar then walked downstairs straight to the kitchen where mom and her friends were having a chitchat to prepare For today's lunch. I was walking towards the kitchen until i found Apollo was standing in the kitchen while her mom was greeting the rest of the lady in the kitchen.

I accidentally dropped the jar onto the wooden floor which caught all of their attention, I didn't expect he was going to come here with his mom. Oh good what a great job to caught everybody's attention by dropping a jar of cookie Lana.

"Oh sorry it slipped my hand somehow" i said calmly and there was where Laura appeared and helped me.

"Let me get the broom" She said.

"No let me take it, just make sure Jacob doesn't step on the shattered glass." I said before turning around to find wherever the broom was.

"The broom is over there Lana" Laura said which made me had to walk passed him.

I shut my eyes close before turning around to slowly walk passing him to grab the broom which was next to the fridge behind him.

I grabbed the broom then began to swipe the shattered glass to make sure there was no piece left then put it on the trash bin. After that i walked out of the house making myself away from that human who was surprisingly appeared in front of me.

I walked into Gabriel and Jacob who was laughing while still throwing a rocks to the lake,

"Jacob Mommy is looking for you" i lied, poor Jacob.

"Gotta go dad" he said before running into the main homestay.

Gabriel kept throwing the rocks without turning his head to look me, like he knew that i need to talk to him.

"Surprised enough? Lying to my son" he smirked.

"So surprised until i dropped a jar of cookies in front of everyone" i said picking a few rocks and started to throw it.

"You're just not getting used to it" he said while both of us keep throwing the rocks.

"At least he's only going to be here in a few days" he said.

"What?! He's going to stay? Why?" I asked him.

"Mrs Hamilton is here and she isn't in a well condition so it's so normal if she wants her son to be there for her right?" He said.

"Why she came when she's sick" i said.

"Cause daisy is mom's best friend and she appreciate her so much whether she's sick or not she's even been there the whole time while you were gone Lana" Gabriel said.

Gabriel throw the rocks to the ground before leaving me alone on the lake, i thought gabriel was pissed. And I still couldn't believe why he wasn't in my side he used to be on my side all the time.

A night has passed Apollo and I hadn't talked all day since i tried to get myself busy all the time with the food, or Jacob. And he seemed didn't care at all, he always looked away every time we accidentally caught one another.

It was 9am in the morning where mom and her friends wanted to do the horseback riding, i was standing alone while watching all the lady were getting their house one by one since so many horses are maintained here.

The last time i rode a horse was when i was 15, Dad used to take us to this place when he still got his time and i was good at riding it so was gabriel.

I was wearing a navy skinny jeans and a brown leather high knee boots with a dark green square patterned shirt. I was also wearing a red bandanna that being tied to hold my hair back.

There was a little horse who was ready for Jacob, i saw Laura and Gabriel were smiling while introducing Jacob to the horse. Gabriel, i thought he still pissed because of me. I admitted it that he was a good father, the way he introduced Jacob to the horse the way he teaches him to brush its hair slowly showing us that he was doing a great job as a dad.

"Scared to ride a horse?" a voice that i used to hear all day suddenly came next to me.

"You haven't seen me riding one of them" i said without looking at him who was standing next to me.

There was still an awkward situation between us, and my heart seemed pounding so fast knowing that he stands so close that i could smell his old familiar manly cologne. It was funny when i still remembered the scent of his perfume, the memories came as fast as the wind while i was trying so hard to forget everything about him.

"Your horse is ready miss" One of the guy that take care of the farm said.

I stepped closer then step on the pedal to make myself comfortably sitting on the horseback's.

"Do you need an instructor?" The man said and i shake my head, I was pretty sure that i remembered to handle a horse.

"Okay here you go" the man said letting out the belt from the horse.

I throw him a glare before started to ride the horse, the wind started to blow my hair while i started to move the horse. The field was pretty wide which i could ride it wherever i wanted. A smile appeared on my face as i began to move it faster, i missed those old days.

I stopped the horse then started to let the horse to take a rest, my hands were holding on the belt then i could see Apollo was also riding the horse in a high speed while there were so many lady around us were also riding the horse in a slow speed.

He was getting closer to me like he was challenging me for a race, he was a few step behind me there was the time when i started to ride my horse in a high speed hoping that he wasn't going to beat me. I was so far from him until my horse suddenly stopped then leaned its head to the ground which made me fell right to the front. I was so shocked but thankfully My respond was fast so i got a change to roll my body to the left so the horse didn't step me right on my face.

Apollo jumped off of the horse to give his hand to help me to get up but I refused by getting up by myself, now my face was literally only a few inch away from him. I sent him a dead glare while i was trying so hard not to drown in his eyes, an anger but also the feeling of nervous combine into one.

"It's all your fault" was all i said.

"I didn't do anything" he said while still looking at me with those strong stares.

His lips suddenly turned into a smirk which i hate to see it so much, my eyes went bigger to heard what he just said. He said he didn't do anything while he was trying to beat me by the speed of the horse he rode then he was smirking at me like he was challenging me. I pushed him away by both of my hands pushing him away from me.

"I hate you" i said before started to walking away from him.

An anger painted on my face while i tried to swipe away the soil from my body, i hate this vacation and i wish I'm in England while checking on my patients body. I kept walking and walking until i climbed onto the wooden gate then made my way back to the homestay to clean and got change.

Everyone was having a lot of fun in the living room after we had a dinner together, Laura and i were washing the dishes while my mom's friends were talking to one another. Jacob was playing with his toy in the middle of the living room, surprisingly he stayed up all night since yesterday.

When Laura and I finally done, i was about to got back to the living room but my mom called me and asked me to talk with me upstairs.

"Lana what happened to you these days?" She asked me with a question eyes.

"What do you mean?" I asked her.

"What did you do to Apollo back at the horseback riding?" She asked me.

"I haven't seen you that rude to a person especially in front of my friends and his mom" mom said and it made me laugh.

"Oh so now my mom is also defending him." I said while trying to fake laughing.

Gabriel was still not talking to me since the first day we went here because we were talking about him, my mom was angry at me because i was acting rude to him. Do they know what has he done to me a few years ago? This is why I was avoiding to come back home.

"I'm not defending anybody, you're not Avalana i knew you changed into another person that I don't even know" My mom said.

"I'm not changing mom the situation just different" i said to her.

"No you're so far away from home" she said.

"I am home" i said.

"But your heart isn't" she said.

"Okay that's it, I'm going back to England tomorrow I'm going to call Anthony to prepare the jet for tomorrow i think it is better for me not being here." I said to her.

"No you're not going anywhere you're not allowed to go back to England until next month, i am your mom i have a responsibility for my own daughter" she said while looking straight to my eyes.

"I have a job in England i have a life! Even a way more perfect life." I said to her.

"What ever i'm not going to change my decision" she said to me.

A hot tears fell from my eyes the memory of my dad who used to forced me to do anything suddenly came back into my life.

I didn't want my mom to change into him and brought back the cruel old memories.
