Harrison left to spend time with his family and you were left alone with Tom. Not knowing what to do or talk about, you moved into the balcony, both settling in the basket shaped swing that was hanging from the ceiling. You hugged a throw pillow, legs held close to your chest while Tom hugged onto you, his chin resting on your head. The air enveloped in laughter while Tom told you about a few incidents that happened on set, making you regret not going with him when he asked for two weeks straight. Even Tuwain managed to go with him but you had a job in a publishing company to keep.

"I could have come! What is this man? My freaking boss refused to give me a vacation", you complain, hugging your throw pillow closer.

"I'll make sure to bring you along next time, sunshine", he assured you as a way of making you feel better but there was a part inside him that was hoping that you'd stay beside him on every trip he goes on, not only to know that your with him but also to see your eyes sparkle with happiness and listen to your excited laughter.

You hummed in response, letting a comfortable silence settle between you as you watched the sunset. The clearness of the atmosphere and brilliancy of the purple, orange and yellow colours covering the cotton candy clouds. The millions of shades ombré into each other, a tangerine yellow, metallic gold and vermilion now becoming clearer to your eyes. As the city basks, happily, in the afterglow of a glorious sunset, you let yourself enjoy the fuzzy warmth it made you fell and allowed Tom to snuggle closer into you.

"Your fans out there would kill to be in my shoes, you know?", Tom raised an eyebrow at your sudden statement, craning his neck to the side to get a better look at what his best friend was thinking.

"Why do you say so?", he questions, ready to hear your answer.

"There are girls out there that would waste their education just to get a simple hug from you and I'm just here, getting to hug you and enjoy your presence with me and I'm taking that for granted", you say as a matter of factly and Tom hummed in response.

"How are you taking me for granted?", he countered "that's not true in any way. You're literally the best thing that happened to me my entire life", you feel his press a small kiss to your temple, making you crack a soft smile.

"When we were younger, there were countless amount of nights where I would wish that we'd never get into a fight. I never wanted to lose you and and here we are. We've known each other for more that two decades and I feel old just by thinking that", Tom chuckles as you finish your sentence, resting his shoulder on your back before feathering a kiss on your head.

"You'd never lose me and you know that", he pointed out and you nodded, eyes not once leaving the sunset, watching as it disappears into the horizon.

"It doesn't even feel like I'm best friends with a freakin' celebrity. It just feels like us- (Y/N) and Tom. No celebrity bullshit and stress from paparazzi", you chuckle to yourself and Tom shakes his head, his hair brushing against your neck.

"That's a good thing", you nod in agreement and let silence settle between you again.

Tom knew how exactly to deal with you when you went into your emotional and philosophical moments. It was very common and even Harrison would just laugh at you when you said something 'deep'. Tom would stay beside you, having a conversation about vague topics. He still remembered when you'd talk to him about what could be beyond the universe and that humans were only a smaller than a dot compared to the billions of stars in space.

Your thoughts terrified you sometimes, scared that you'll start thinking of things that'll leave you sleepless and Tom was always there to help you through it. He helped you quiet down your loud thoughts while you helped him lower his stress. Even if it were simple supportive texts or sending him voicemails, he appreciated them and helped cope with his frustration and anxiety. Not many people knew about that though. People didn't know that you were the source of his strength and he thanked you for that. You were soulmates and neither of you knew that. Everyone else could see expect for yourselves.

Soon, the sun was replaced by the moon and the colourful sky was replaced by twinkling stars along with pitch darkness. Planes flew by and you'd point them out to Tom, feeling like a toddler. Crickets started chirping and lights in houses started turning off and you were soon feeling sleepy as well.

"Remember when we'd sit on your roof and fall asleep while stargazing?", you reminisce out loud and Tom couldn't could help but take a trip down memory lane and remember your teenage selves, sitting on his roof while holding hands and how you'd always fall asleep on his shoulder and he'd have to carefully carry you back into his room. The infinite amount of sleepovers they had in his room and the countless amount of inside jokes made his heart flutter and remind him of how lucky he was to have a friendship like that with you.

Tom's childhood with you was colourful, reminding him of the sunset he just watched with you. There were fights but they'd always blow over and the laughs were seemingly never ending. Tom, Harrison and you, the iconic trio and then there was always Tom and you. It was just Tom and you, the iconic duo and that was that. It was the best thing that ever happened in his life and he said it countless amount of times.

He'd flaunt his friendship with you on interviews and on Instagram or Twitter. He'd bring you up in any conversation he can and tell everyone how amazingly talented you are. You were truly the diamond in his life and he himself didn't realise that. If would frustrate everyone around him while he kept denying that he had feelings for you because it had always been Tom and (Y/N)- best friends- and that was that.

"Do you want to go inside?", you heard Tom whisper into your ear as you let out a yawn, covering your mouth with the back of your hand.

"I wanted to watch the sunrise as well", you whine as he chuckles at your childishness. Same old (Y/N), he thought to himself.

"I'll wake you up early and we can watch it together", he told you and you nodded "c'mon, let's get you into bed", he cooed as he stood up, grabbing your hand to lead you back inside the room and laid you in bed, helping you cover yourself in your duvet before he placed a kiss to your hairline. "Good night, love", he cooed as you felt your eyelids get heavy.

"Stay, please? It's been a while since you slept over", you ask and a wide grin appeared on his face. Tom didn't say a word after that and laid down beside you, an arm wrapped around your waist as you did the same with him, your head nuzzled into his chest while Tom lulled you to sleep. You had truly missed him, considering it had been almost four

months since you saw him and all you wanted to do was hug him and make him stay with you but you couldn't do that because your best friend was Tom Holland. The rising star of the film industry and your selfish ass couldn't hold him back.
