As he look at the elder he start to question what he has done wrong to be so unlucky of all the elders the patriarch could have chosen it had to be her.

In front of him was a woman in a light blue robe her beauty was really fascinating if you don’t take into account her utter lack of emotion on her face.

She is really well known in the clan as the demon flower title given to her for her uncaring and borderline aggressive nature if you stand in her way.

Gold look at the patriarch to see him looking back with a big smile .

He know what he has done he messing with him that devious old man always puling pranks when you least expect it how his path is not evil.

When Gold was recovering from being prank the patriarch turn toward the elder :

“Sister Lily I count on you I will leave him in your care.”

After saying that he disappear elder Lily was visibly angry :

“Next time that old man dare to use me to make one of his prank I will make sure he understand the meaning of pain.”

After saying that she turn toward Gold her face returning to be completely emotionless :

“Follow me.”

She start to walk without waiting for him Gold start to feel annoyed to be drag around like that.

They don’t walk far before reaching the entrance into the main hall without slowing down she go up the stair and after walking inside a corridor they reach a small emerald coloured door she turn her head toward him :

“Don’t touch anything just follow me.”

She push the door and enter inside after waiting for her to cross the door he follow her.

When he cross the door he instantly feel the air change the inside of the room was filled with rows of shelf full of plant and mushroom of all colour and form.

Some were growing in an unknown reptile skull and other growing upside down a few were so weird that Gold was not even sure what they were.

They quickly go through the room and cross another door to reach a small study filled with shelf full of books the room floor was covered in piles of papers .

She get a chair from her storage ring before she sit on the other side she quickly make some space on the desk during the time Gold sat down.

After she finish the two were looking at each other Gold was feeling really uncomfortable with the silence after a few minutes she take a set of black spheres from her spacial ring .

She dispose the spheres in front of him :

“I will test your elemental affinity we will talk after that you know how to it ?”

Gold nod he send a bit of his qi inside every sphere in front of him they suddenly illuminate before slowly returning to complete blackness.

She seem happy with the result :

“Everything is average a little bit more affinity with nature element no crippling deficiency that good I will not have to cut anything when I will teach you .”

What was happening he was a bit confuse on what was going on without caring about him she continue :

“Since your path is not open yet I will train you personally every day I will teach you the theory in the morning and in the afternoon you will do some practice and work on your path. Any questions ?”

After he finish asking a few small questions she send him back home saying to come early next morning in front of the hall.

He walk slowly toward his home when he reach it he find his grandpa waiting in front of the door reading a book he close it before he turn toward him :

“The patriarch told me the details of the situation let’s go inside to talk.”

Gold nod before he open the door before they enter inside but when he look inside he see the two kittens sleeping on his bed.

He suddenly feel really bad he almost completely forgot about them he vowed to take care them and not even day after he completely forget about them.

The two seeing him looking at them quickly launch their attack.

Gold take the kittens in his arms before they can reach him before taking the time to feed them he really need to take the time to read the book old man gave him.

After putting the two kittens back on his bed he sit around the table his grandpa was making tea waiting for him he pour a glass for each of them :

“Don’t feel too guilty about it you had a rough day yesterday the most important is to see your mistakes and to never make them again.”

Gold nod grandpa drink a bit of his tea before he continue :

“I talked to the patriarch before coming here he will go the alliance tomorrow to report your awakening he said that you will probably be summon to report on your path once you unlock it.”

Before he can continue they are suddenly interrupt by the kittens battling each other on the bed after they finish looking what was happening they continue to talk of lighter subjects before grandpa suddenly remember something :

“Oh and the patriarch say he assign you a teacher to supervise you but he has not say who it was so who his the lucky winner.”

Gold feel a bit embarrass by the subject :

“The demon flower elder…”

When grandpa heard the name he stop dumbfounded for a few seconds before he start to laugh :

“That old man really know his stuff she was probably furious after.”

After taking some time to calm down he continue on a more serious tone :

“Don’t feel down she probably the best teacher you can hope for being overly serious all the time has advantages she very prideful too you can be sure she will not let you down.”

Gold nod he suddenly feel a bit better about his situation.
