He wake up the next morning he don’t know what was happening with him but in his sleep he continuously wake up with a terrible headache in the night.

He don’t question it too much it was probably the last few days that have taken toll on him after getting out of his bed he put some clothes before taking the time to take care of the kittens.

Once he finish he start to walk toward the agricultural hall taking his time to look around crossing the streets leading to the rainbow fields .

He walk for an hour he finally reach the hall he look around but elder Lily was nowhere to be seen that when he seen someone walking toward him :

“Are you the second elder’s student ?”

Gold nod :

“She task me to say that she will not be here before some time come with me she left you a few things to do when you wait.”

Gold find the whole thing a bit strange but he don’t think too much and follow him and after going in one the corridor he push a small door after that the man say his goodbye and left.

Gold enter the room it was probably a meeting room the only things inside were two sofas and a table.

When he reach the table he see a book with a small note on it the message was simple .

Read the book until I come back

The message was pretty clear he remove the note from the book before taking it and sitting inside the sofa he look at the black cover with the simple title “Botanic for beginners” he open it and start to read.

The content was basic but since he was not really knowledgable about the subject it let him fix the gap in is knowledge after a few hours he hear someone knocking on the door.

After putting the book on the table he go opening the door to see his new master elder Lily in front of the door her face was still void of emotion but something shock him her robe was full of cuts and even her face has a shallow cut on one of her cheeks.

She enter the room and they sit on the sofas she open the box and take a sandwich from inside before she push the box toward Gold :

“Here I’m sure you still have not eaten we will start after.”

They continue eating in silence Gold was understanding why she was not there this morning a void breach probably opened near the clan and most of the elders were called to fight.

It was a reminder of the constant threat of the void he suddenly remember that he will have to contribute to the fight too maybe it’s a good thing to contribute to protecting people.

After they finish eating she put the box inside her storage ring before she turn toward Gold :

“How much do you have read ?”

Pointing the book Gold reply :

“About half I think .”

She seem satisfied with that answer after that she stand up and make sign to him to follow her.

They reach the small plot the patriarch assign to him she turn toward him :

“Do you know why we require people to use at least eighty pour-cent of their plot ?”

Gold try to think about but after some time he give up and admit he don’t know why :

“The reason is simple if no plant grow the soil will slowly degrade unlike mundane plants mystical one slowly improve the ground were it grow so remember to never plant mundane plant here if you want to grow them I will give a plot in the zone planed for it.”

After that she continue to explain small details before she finally finish :

“Good now take out the seed you receive from your heaven edict .”

Gold send his qi inside the mark on the back of his hand the mark illuminate and a small pouch appear above he take it before he open it.

Inside was a small seed void black with a small golden line coursing through it :

“Can I take a look ?”

Gold nod before she take a look inside the pouch she observe it for a few minutes.

When she finish she take a book from her storage ring before quickly turning the pages of the book she quickly reach the end of the thousand of pages of the book.

She seem a been annoyed and read inside the book another time before she close and send back the book inside her spacial ring and turn toward Gold:

“I can’t find anything on that plant. Mystical plant seeds have easily recognizable features but I can’t seem to find anything that correspond to it that a big problem it will make the growth process much harder but let’s plant it and we will monitor it closely.”

Gold nod and she start to explain how to prepare everything needed before planting the seed and after she explain and they do everything needed they finally plant the small seed inside the soil :

“Good know it’s time for combat training follow me we will go to the training ground.”

They walk for more than an hour before they reach the training grounds they were mostly empty that late in the day only the few dedicated to their practice stay that late in the day.

One the few left were the truly dedicated to their training one of them was that unlucky boy he was still practising the sword even if has not a path link to it I guess he really want to try a path evolution .

He continue to follow the elder and she guide them to an empty spot :

“You know why I will give you a combat training even if your not a none combat path so I will not loss time I will teach how to use daggers because it what I use .”

She give him a simple pair of wooden daggers and start to explain how use them.
