"A >!" one of the soldiers exclaimed. "Finally we have a >!"

Finally?

Ivan couldn't help but frowned. Did it mean they had been kidnapping people until they got someone with > job or whatever it was called? That would mean there were otherworlders beside them, or not anymore...? Or were their attempts to kidnap a group of otherworlders in vain, until now?

Whichever the case, Ivan didn't like both possibilities...

The more he thought about it, the worse he felt about these people. Disgusting goody-two-shoes who blindly justified anything they did in the name of justice and their so-called God.

He looked at Andre's broad shoulders and clicked his tongue. Despite the thunderous roar of the soldiers around, he found the fact disheartening.

Damn it. Why Andre of all people...

Now it was almost impossible to run away from this place. He had to revise his escape plan faster now...

Either due to extreme bad luck or simply coincidence, both the High Priestess and Ivan locked eyes. And true to his guts, the Priestess bitch gave him the most repulsive smile he'd ever seen.

O shi--!

"The hero over there, please come forward," the silver-haired bitch beckoned. Her sickeningly sweet smile made his stomach rippling violently he wanted to puke.

"Me?" he feigned dumb.

"Yes, you. Come closer, please. You are such a brave soul to be able to speak up. Not only for yourself, but also for the sake of your friend. Truly, such a wonderful thing to do in this hard time."

Ivan gulped nervously. What this bitch is thinking about?

"And so, please put your hand on the sacred orb. Surely a selfless person such as yourself is blessed by the Mashiach Himself."

Everyone saw sincerity in her tone, but Ivan only heard a snake hissing at him, ready to attack. The fake gesture made him question her motives more. He could attack her, but he wasn't so sure about the outcomes. This world had its own law in the form of level, something that Earth did not have, and his punch could mean nothing to her given the difference in power.

Why, he could hurt himself instead! A High Priestess like her must have a plethora of defense spells or some sort.

What is she planning... I can't figure it out...

Seeing no escape whatsoever, Ivan healf-heartedly put his hand on the orb. It shone with the same intensity as it had displayed to other otherworlders.

Ivan honestly was curious about his status. He was quite good at sports and would that be reflected? Would he had high AGI, END, or STR just like his buddy?

Finally, the long-awaited window appeared. Ivan looked up with a smile, but it disappeared as quick as the speed of which the window popped up.
