Magic!? I wish I knew I had this earlier, But I gotta focus on not dying!
I continue to devour the snow like pizza, but I don’t taste with my mouth, instead I do with my feet… and bloody snow tastes awful, but that’s not the main focus.
I need to go deep enough where the frog can’t get me even if I pass out from lack of oxygen, and if I die he won’t be able to enjoy my bee body. But there’s a problem, the frog tongue, what if it prevents me from going further by getting stuck somehow?
Ok, I got deep enough to where only my stinger is out, hope the tongue doesn’t cause any problems.
I dig deeper, the frog tongue slips in without a problem, but it’s starting to collect snow, and I’m getting full. I think the frog may arrive soon, but I wonder what’s taking it so long to get here.
I continue deeper, eventually hitting dirt. I looked back at the entrance to the tunnel, standing there was the frog, trying to dig out the tunnel and make it bigger to get to me.
Seeing that it was struggling with that, I decided to try and remove the tongue still stuck to my stinger, how? By eating it. Seeing that my stinger can easily pierce it makes me think it’s very easy to rip and tear, and if I tried anything else like pulling it off, my legs would get stuck.
I twist and bend my body to bite the tongue but I don’t quite reach it.
Curse my fluffy cuteness!
I crawl in a circle eating any ice in my path, eventually I'm at the end of the tongue, so I grab and pull.
Ow! Pulling it was worth a shot… not!

Not only did I almost pull my stinger out, my mandibles were now stuck to the tongue! I am now a perfect circle. I squeeze my mandibles shut, cutting through the tongue, now my mandibles are glued shut, still stuck to the tongue, and I got a piece of tongue in my mouth, which I swallow.
Even if I can’t taste it, gross! But now what? I’m completely immobilized, mandibles closed forever I can’t move! Now I’m gonna die, what a trashy death!… Wait, I got magic!
I remember that I had ice magic, but didn’t know how to use it.
Go! Ice! Frozen water! Something!?
I frantically search my fantasy novel memories to try and find an answer that might help me use magic.
Ok… they normally imagine an image of what you want… ok, uh, ice… ice… ice!… ice! ice! ice! ice! ice! Just shoot it!
I suddenly feel a freezing sensation in my mouth.
Ow! Ow! Ow! Cold! Why in my mouth!? That’s not what I meant by just shoot it! (Beehave, don’t take that outta context)
My mandibles start freezing over and the ice starts spreading to the frogs tongue. I violently shake my head causing me to slam it into the ground and walls without realizing it because I don’t feel pain, but I do feel discomfort… and cold, probably heat too.
Cold! Cold, Cold! Off! Please! Power off! Alexa, stop it!
I suddenly hear I shatter, I then realized what I’ve been doing.
Did I break my skull… no, the ice just froze the tongue and all sticky saliva… what!
I apparently froze the tongue so much that it eventually shattered from the impact of hitting the ground because of my hand slamming. Also freezing the saliva removes all sticky properties.
…the ice finally stopped… and I’m free! Yes! Oh, the frog just crawled into the hole with me… WHAT!?

[cold resistance went up to level 2!]
Shadup!
And something important is that I only destroyed half the tongue, so my stinger is still stuck, but I’m at least lighter if I fly.
Frog wanna fight? Well ima firin mah lazor!
I crawl around the circle tunnel I made to reach the frog, I then open my mandibles and fire my ice laser, but I don’t.
What!? You were torturing me earlier! Why not fire now!? Shoot! Shoot! Shoot!
*click*
…
A EMPTY MAGAZINE CLICK!? WHAT'S THIS BULL!?
The frog opens its mouth preparing to fire its remaining tongue. I crawl backwards but i move very slow and the tongue stuck to me is making it difficult to back up.
my magic is apparently a gun, and i can't reverse… I could catch the tongue, but then I'd get stuck. If it's smart I could threaten it by catching it, it wouldn't want to lose its last weapon.
The frog shoots its tongue aiming straight for my face, but that's where my mandibles are. I open my mandibles and snap at the tongue, but before my mandibles close, the frog stops its tongue and pulls it back into its mouth.
Just as I thought… it's cowardly! Stupid frog, I got two weapons and you? Well… three… but it's one now because you would smother yourself if you did that smoke thing again.
Me and the frog stare for a while… Like a long time, so long I actually zoned out and started to daydream about killing super soldiers as an alien in a certain game.
*ding*
Huh? What was that? A ding? Did the frog do that?
I look at the frog and see that nothing has changed with it.
Why was there a ding? Is something telling me to hurry and escape? I wish I could, but the frog is in the way.
Maybe I could try to laser again, but I don't know how fast my magic recharges, or if it does at all.
I open my mandibles to fire my ice laser, which took awhile, magic is really hard to use… maybe I'm not supposed to brute force my magic?
Eventually I feel the air between my mandibles get colder and colder, it gets so cold my mandibles freeze a bit, good thing they're open.
Why does it get so cold? Isn't this a bit over powered… Well it completely drains my mana so I guess it's fair.
Finally a blue orb appears between my mandibles, then it fires. The frog sees this and attempts to get back but it gets stuck in the tunnel.
You just dug your own grave, literally… but I dug most of it.
The ice laser slams into the frog's head making a Crack sound pushing it back, the frog struggles as it starts freezing over.
HaHaHa! Eat ice, turret frog!… Is that blood? Why is it bleeding? I didn't think my laser had such a physical impact.
When my magic runs out and my laser stops, I see the area where the laser hit, it was covered in a thick ice with frozen blood under it like a casing. The laser froze half its body including a single leg, but even so, it was still alive.
How are you alive!? I don't know how strong my magic Is but I'm sure that it should've killed you.
[Ice magic went up to lv3!]

Permanight (Hiatus)
The world of Mecc has fallen into permanent night. Monsters roam the countryside, the sun refuses to rise, and towns and cities alike are falling into disarray. Their only hope is the ancient prophecy, which says a hero of light will emerge to save humanity in their darkest hour... 20 years from now. Too little, too late for those living now. In the midst of the the apocalypse, college student Oscar McAllister finds himself out of a job and out of luck. After accidentally ending up slaying a daemon on his way to get the groceries however, Oscar is haplessly drawn into the world of adventuring and questing, and with the old world falling apart - Oscar becomes one of the many tasked with trying to hold everything together. As he fights however, he is forced to face not just the evil that lurks in the shadows: but the indifference that lurks in people’s hearts. The world is playing a waiting game with human lives, and Oscar is caught right in the middle of it. Note: This is a dark LitRPG story, with dungeons, levelling, and quests in a contemporary setting. Permanight is currently on hiatus while I prepare a rewrite based on the current feedback I've recieved. I'm sorry for the bad news, but I want to bring the world to life in a way that feels real, and at the moment - I'm not entirely convinced that I'm doing that.

Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends
In the civilized world of humans, 'monsters' have all but passed into legend. But when something goes bump in the night, when people begin to disappear, when a dark mystery begins to haunt even the most peaceful villages, there is only one organization to turn to: the Hunters. The Venatori. Having lived a life of discipline and service, former soldier Caiden Voros finds something even worse than the wars of humans: the monsters that hunt them. Horrors yet unknown even to him and his many scars await in the claws, talons, fangs, and mysterious powers of creatures so far beyond humans that he must dedicate himself entirely to the art of slaying them. Harboring a secret of his own and in a constant struggle to find answers while maintaining his sanity, however, Caiden begins to ask the age-old question... Who is truly worse, the monsters or the Men? Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends is an episodic collection of stories, each of which stand on its own, but they also build upon each other in a consecutive order, bridging a gap between a novel and short story collection. These stories follow monster hunter Caiden Voros and his partner Gwen Vergil as they embark on tales of mystery, horror, and adventure to track down monsters - the living dead, beast-men, shape-shifters, spirits, and many more - that would do harm to innocent lives and, by whatever means necessary, put a stop to their terrors. Their motives, however, are not always what they seem.
