Chapter 14
About 2 days past as I rest in bed. Not very much happened. Kina was never very intent on talking. The best thing that happened was that my depression felt like it was lessening. That changed however on the third day. Kina was having a slight argument. I couldn't hear it very well even with my hearing. I didn't know who kina was arguing with, but eventually I heard kina grumble very annoyed, then both her and whoever she was arguing came closer to me.
“He is in here.” Kina said outside the door. “Don't bother him too much or else you’ll bother me as well.” Kina added.
The door opened and I saw a pretty large man. He had brown hair and had amber eyes, his skin had a reddish scaly shine to it. I wouldn't have noticed if the light didn't directly hit him. He had large heavy scaly wings on his back denoting him as being a draconic or a demon. I heard from Friezer was that the 2 main humanoid species that had wings was the demons and the draconics. Historically the demons were miss identified as such and they became an enemy of humanity. They never changed their races name for some reason even though they were called demons. Friezer never gave me much lessons on that era for some reason.
This man though, did not have any other major features that identified him as being a demon, so I could only assume he was a draconic, whom all I knew about was they were a form of humanoid dragon.
“Hello young man!” The great man bellowed.
His sheer volume made me flinch a little and I hoped he would quiet down. To my aid, kina glared aggressively at him. He seemed to flinch at that, knowing his voice was too loud he quoted down a bit.
“So your the guy that occupied kina’s room. Had to see it for myself” the draconic laughed heartily at that. Kina then loudly threw out an UGH then walked out seemingly disgusted. This however, only made him laugh more.

“Sorry, sorry, It's always so hard to tease the girl. She is too uptight about her job you see, being a combat healer isn't exactly a fun or exciting job.” The man explained his laughter and a bit about kina before he explain his the reason for coming.
“So young lad, you were found inside a cave under a flying lynx getting mauled to be rescued by knights inside a cliff side… pretty crazy” the draconic let out a hefty sigh at my stupidity.
“Must have been quite the adventure!” He laughed once more though, this time louder, making me flinch again.
“Anyway, I came here to discuss the badge you carry. Normally we would greet you with a bit more respect, as it shows you were highly evaluated by the lion kingdom. Most officials and officers have them.” The man explained further,
“However, it is very unusual for a therian like yourself to hold one from the lion kingdom. Since it glowed when we checked it, it verified you as being an authentic holder of the badge.”
Finally speaking for myself, “I consider myself lucky for being able to hold one. A man I respect greatly gave it to me, he said I should come here to the dragon city. I hope though that I can be trained a bit before i leave once more to find my place in this world.”
The draconic sat down onto the chair kina usually sits in, leaning back and hummed a hmmm and leaned back. He looks at me with an unusual red glint in his eyes.
“I suppose it wouldn't be absolutely impossible, however, I have no idea what type of training you want to go through. While your build is fine you seem to lack the technique to learn swordsmanship, and you don't have very much talent in any magic we have here to learn.” He spoke thoughtfully as if he knew all about me.

“I can't really get someone to teach you until I know your class and primary tradeskills.” He said as a finality.
Looking as if he was about to leave, I ask for his name. He turned back to me before he left the and said with a sharp smile, “my name is ’splitting wind’”
He called out for kina to come out from wherever she was telling her he was done. Shortly after kina came in with a bit of a pout, clearly still bothered by splitting wind’s antics. I did wonder though why I was actually in kina’s room. It seemed kinda bland. So I asked kina,
“Um, kina why am I in your room?”
She groaned a bit saying under her breath not you too! Then proceeded to answer my question. “Your not actually in my room, you see, this is actually the healing barracks, it's where combat healers or priests usually go when they are on duty for extended period of time. But they don't actually live here.”
“Oh I see, but why not in a hospital?” I tilted my head asking that question.
“Hospital? We don't usually have those… most people go to the temple in order to receive healing from the priests, and hospitals are normally only set up during combat as a field hospital.” She said, almost as if practiced, while answering my question.
Oh was the only thing I could say to that.
-somewhere else on the planet in a dark room-
A smaller soldier speaks up to his officer “Sir we are reading unusual radioactive signatures throughout the planet. Each are incredibly strong and are moving. Any planned course of action?”
“No, the technology they have is lacking. I doubt the planets inhabitants are what caused this.” The officer responded.
Shakily the soldier ask the officer, “Then.. uh.. sir, what would you suggest we do?”
“Nothing. We will observe. The doves won't let us take action yet anyway. All we need to do is continue to instigate the locals a bit.” The officer’s smile breaks through in the darkness.
The soldier obviously shaken up by this meagerly nods and gulps. The soldier then salutes the officer and heads off away from the darkness.
“Soon” the vicious alien says soon.
-on the wailing rocks-
Tsahnizh quickly walks through a familiar dark corridor, toward his king. Tsahnizh waits in front of the door, unlike the first few times being here Tsahnizh is visibly anxious. The door soon opens for him, and the dwarf briskly enters the throne room once more, the king dwarf is sitting on the throne.
“We meet once more.” The kingly dwarf says as Tsahnizh kneels.
“Aye sire, I come bearing the findings of me research. I have located the moving ‘rift’, and found the rift contains an unusual signature, the signature is similar to what comes off the dam aliens.” Tsahnizh hurriedly explains.
“Is this true?” the king dwarf ponders.
“Aye sire, but what disturbs me the most, is that it also contains mana! I have no idea why their ‘technology’ and our mama has fused!” Tsahnizh says worriedly.
“So do you expect this to be caused by them?” The dwarf king asks.
“I truly don't know sire. The ‘rift’ opened and I saw a man, but he didn't look like the aliens but didn't wear anything like what we wear.”
“Do you see him as an enemy?” The king asks
Tsahnizh recalling his experience says his last words to the king: “he appeared just as surprised as I was when it appeared.”
The dwarf king leans back onto his throne and contemplates the dangers of the future.

The Yes-Mage
Plenty of people have stopped and asked what it'd be like to simply have everything, and Sylvain Henry Camille Johansson was no different. He was a man who had a lot of things going on, with a name that'd make a supervillain blush and a family who'd make even the useless of their rank into someone important. It was a shame, then, that he was slapped with a dreadfully unfortunate condition that kept him from living up to any of those already low expectations. Stuck living a life where magic is everywhere while he's left working with nothing more than a moderate intellect, a little bit of whatever influence he could get from his family, and a lifetime's practice at making himself the ideal subordinate for his bosses' boss, Vane was still beating the odds and slowly working his way up in the world. When the cunning yes-man finally got a chance to really make a name for himself, he leapt at the offer, taking his first real step onto a road he knew he was always meant to walk. His goal? Nothing less than finding out why he and too many other unfortunate souls are barred from the wonderful world of the higher energies, and with any luck, fixing it. Of course, life has a knack for interfering in even the humblest of plans, and Vane's lofty ideals were anything but humble; he was practically a walking bullseye for disaster. The funny thing about catastrophe, though, is that nobody can ever say what form it's going to take. That’s why, when it all went wrong for Vane, he'd gotten everything he'd ever wanted foisted onto him, and Everything else, too. Watch as a man so used to saying 'yes' to everyone above him finds himself stuck with the power to make reality itself say it back.

Memoirs of an old traveler:First Rebirth
If life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. Life sometimes gives you handouts and sometimes not, how would you take control of your life or would you let yourself be adrift on the sea. This is my story of rebirth, the start of a journey between the worlds. Will you take heart from the lessons I have learned or will you take without giving and continue the cycle? ___________________________________ A story with my take on reincarnation, expect somewhat of a more serious writing style but still a bit casual. I like to story build, to craft a universe, so don't expect quick action. Can be a bit of a heavy info read at times so if you don't like that best steer away. Chapters are expected to be at least 1 a week perhaps 2 a week depending on response and how much of an inspiration I get. Credits to multiple authors(too many to count/remember) of both web/light novels and the authors here on RRL for inspiration.
