Chapter 3

Although I never experienced learning a new language, I could tell I was going to be tough. Learning history and the such I had figured would have been similar to my classes in high school and college, so I had a general idea of how to study and learn. I however was more surprised at how during the history lesson, Friezer provided me with not only just a boring history lesson about the lion kingdom, which was currently the country I was in. Apparently during a short period of time earlier a type of creature from outer space came and landed, they were perplexed at how the creatures on the planet could use a mystical force called “mana” to make “spells” in combination these were considered “magic”.

The so called “aliens”, as they were called, had originally planned to trade their advanced technology of thermal-fusion and fission for the knowledge of how to perform “magic”. Unfortunately due to current politics inside the united space aliens, they had also planned to attack and use force within a short amount of time if they didn't cooperate, similarly, the orcs of the kglas (class/glass) coast had raided a small peaceful colony, colony 6, which had caused tensions to skyrocket, triggering the inevitable war.

Well. Lots of new vocabulary. before I go on and on about new stuff, I'm going to start with geography. There are 3 main continents, the first is a massive supercontinent. This continent is called the lion continent. Brilliantly named I must say. The continent was named after the mythological beast which was said to have inhabited it centuries ago. As for the lion kingdom? It was named after the founder, who had infact, been named after the continent which he lived in. in terms of habitat, oak, pine, and willows, densely populate the northern and southern hemispheres, while the middle of the continent has swamps along with multiple deserts.*1 The lion kingdom is in control of a large region on the southern hemisphere, aside from the lion kingdom, there are 4 other countries. The most prominent country aside the lion kingdom was the dragon country. However it's hard to call it a country. As the dragon country is controlled similar to Greek democracy, several tribes of dragons control small regions inside the country and whenever the country itself is threatened all the tribes will come together, temporarily settling any disputes, to defend all the tribes. The pseudo capital of the lion kingdom and dragon country, is unusually close together. The dragon falls city (the people here have great names!) is on the wall of other side of a canyon, to the west, which separates the two, the lion kingdom’s main keep sits atop the cliff side over viewing the plains in which it governs, towards the north. Another point of interest, happens to be the 1000 floor dungeon built into the cliff. An expensive hotel or inn called the 1000 room hotel is connected to 100 of the dungeon floors, is built alongside the cliff, scaling upwards.

As for the other two kingdoms, there is the smaller, Elven embassy. And the aushaur (awhoo-shar) swamps. The elven embassy is on the east side of the continent and is only a series of heavily trafficked ports. As for the Aushaur swamps, it is a large Region in the center hemisphere controlled by the devils, not very much communication is traded, so not much is known inside the country.

The smaller continent on the west is called the wailing rocks, this continent is mainly controlled by the great dwarven kingdom, the capital is in the north. This region has very large evergreen forests and cliffs spanning most of the continent, due to its location near the western pole (west & east magnetic poles) it also snows a significant portion of the year making it very white and green.*2

As for the eastern side of the planet, it is a semi large continent that is very warm, creating a jungle like atmosphere on the northern hemisphere and all along the eastern coast line. The center of the continent is dominated by the “steel ruins” and expansive deserts*3 giving it a very ominous nature. Following the trend of evergreen trees, the southern and southern center part of the eastern continent is dominated by extremely old and great trees. There are only 2 countries here, the therianthropy kingdom of shuz kai wa (shuus-k-wa)*4 and the elven kingdom of elsu.*5 lastly there is an extremely important island that is in the middle of the eastern continent and the lion continent that is the sword island.

Due to its proximity to the eastern continent and that it is inside a large bay, the bay is called sword bay. The island is neutral territory of all countries and may not be claimed as territory. Due to my curiosity I asked why, the response was that on the island are the graves of every country's heroes. It is an ancient ritual that great heros be buried with their weapons, however as several great smith's didn't want the masterpieces of weaponry just be buried, they decided to stab the weapon into the ground marking the location of the dead hero. The weapon's caliber would normally depict the hero’s achievements. As such sword island may sometimes be called the island of dead heroes or the island of stories.
