《Legends of Etheria》Chapter 2 - Tutorial Town

"Menu open!" As Ray said those words a panel appeared before him, displaying a detailed summary of his stats and skills. "Cool, it worked! Let's see what I have so far."
Ray Lvl 1
Human
100/100 Health
10/10 Mana
Skills: Movement Lvl 1
"Looks like a pretty standard RPG start, what's up with the movement skill though. I didn't learn it through any skill books or anything?"
"The game gives you skills based on what actions you do. I believe that everyone has the movement ability at Lvl 1 minimum but you can train it and you will automatically get more agile also we apparently don't have stats."
Stats are kind of the life blood of every RPG, things like strength, agility and other attributes have been the most commonly used ways to define what a character is strong at so it came as a big surprise to Ray.
"Strange, I figured a big game like this would keep the essentials of an MMORPG."
"I haven't explored too much but the game promises a new experience from regular ol' RPGs that we know. Besides, you promised me that you'd give it a try."
Yeah, a try after countless hours of talking about the game and the hype. If Ray wanted him to shut up about it, he'd have to go along a little longer.
"Well, what level and class are you then?"
It was an honest question but it came with a long pause and a head scratch from Bob.
"So...the thing is...I'm still level 1..."
A raised eye from Ray caused Bob to look away awkwardly and hum a tune.
"I..have nothing to say to that...you've been trying to get me to play for so long and you're still level 1!"

"Well...I didn't want to play alone so..."
Sigh, I figured that Bob was at a high level and he could 'carry' me through the early stages but since we're both the same level now...there was going to be a lot more work. The rest of the journey was silent with Ray testing out his new body, stamping his feet into the ground, touching the leaves and breathing in the air. If this wasn't a game, Ray could easily confuse this for real life.
Pretty well made, he thought to himself. But then they arrived at the town and were greeted with a ridiculously long line of people queuing up at the gates.
"What the hell? What's going on?"
"I don't know either, there wasn't a line last time I came here."
Then we heard a loud beeping sound as a panel lit up on the top of the gates. "Due an overwhelming amount of new players, tutorial town is now full and will not be accepting new entries until it empties out."
...Great.
