Chapter 8
New chapter do you like the POV switching
Arthur's POV
The chained monstrosity woke and a sickening howl filled the air along with the sound of snapping chains. The ground began to rumble and spikes rose from the ground well I don't have a class and I'm level 3 so there's no point in trying to fight the boss head on. And if I don't think fast those spikes are going to start rising in my area too. I can't fight the boss head on. It doesn't seem to have any mechanics that let me hurt it yet but it's mechanics could only start if I enrage it. I don't have a tank, DPS or supporter so I can't fight it normally. I don't have a class so I don't have a specific role I can play so the only thing I can do is evade the bosses attacks and hope for some mechanics that allow me to damage it happens. Basically my the only thing j can do if hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Good thing I studied MMOs before this happened I would have been screwed if I didn't.
What kind of harsh dungeon teleports you into a boss room with no way in and no way out. And it only teleported me and I was just supposed act as support for natsuki there's no way I'll be able to solo this boss with my skills alone. Damn it the spikes are about 6 meters away from reaching my area. I better start to run I started to run as the spikes started to appear closer and closer behind me. Maybe Caliburn can help she's the only thing I can rely on without risk
"Caliburn how the hell am I supposed to fight this boss"I asked
"I don't know solve your own problems" Caliburn responded
"how the hell am I supposed to solo a boss like this a level 3"I asked slightly flustered

"not my problem" Caliburn answered.
Well it looks I'm on my own I'm not going to get any help from Caliburn any time soon it seems like nothing's going to happen if don't do something so might as well try to attack the boss. I charge in the area where the spikes haven't raised yet and rush at the boss. I evade his claws and strike his elbow seems like it didn't even scratch him he shoots a black beam at me which I evade and I'm about to go for a second strike before I noticed the beam changed direction and is following me.
"Crap" I cursed under my breath
There's only one way I can think of to get rid of the beam and that is to cut it but if it reforms I'm screwed.
"Caliburn" I said
"What Caliburn answered
"Do you think you'll be able to cut that magic"I asked
"Hmmph of course I'm able to cut almost any magic that's cast by something a lower level than 500 and doesn't have reforming perks or other conditions.
"Thanks" I said
"I -I didn't tell you that for you I-I just didn't want you to underestimate me" Caliburn answered
"Ok then" I said
I turned around and saw the magic still chasing me so I took a stance to try to cut it. I swung at the black beam but it went under my sword and hit me in the chest.
"What the heck that's some crazy magic I'm at 80% of my hp now" I said
This time took a stance and evaded the that beam and cut it straight down the middle. Phew I didn't reform if it did I would be really low on hp. And the only way to heal myself is to get kills but the only monster in the room is the boss.
In that moment of relief the spikes started to rise again in my area so I began to run but the boss shoot out 5 more beams.

"Seriously" I just barely took care of one
I started to run from the beams but they started gaining on me but I had an idea I started running toward the boss with the beans still chasing me. I dodged his attacks but he shoot a chain at me that brought me down to 75% hp. And when I reached the very front of him I climbed onto his chest right before the beams hit me. And it worked the beams hit directly into his knees making him collapse into his knees. I started to stab his chest repeatedly until he screamed a horrible shrill and turned completely purple and started radiating off of him.
"Dang I think I enraged him"I said
And I quickly jumped off him and started to run I noticed some mutated soldiers rise from the floor. If I can kill enough of those soldiers to level up a bit I might be able to deal some damage to the boss. So I started to go around and kill off the soldiers while they were slowly rising from the ground. I couldn't crit their vital points because of their armour so killing them was quite slow. I levelled up to 6 after killing most of them but a lot more were spawning and this time instantly coming out of the ground. They started to charge in large groups of 10-30 it was hard to defend against that many enemies I had to focus on parrying and dodging or I'd be overwhelmed. I couldn't attack because once I drop my guard to attack I'd be struck and killed. And their numbers only kept rising. I had to stop defending and just start running after they had about 120 spawned.
I started to run around and hit one every time I was in reach focusing only one target slowly I dwindled their numbers and levelled to 10. Damn this is tiring and my stamina bar is running low. I can still try to run at no stamina but it's gonna hurt like hell and I might start coughing up blood.
"You gained a new skill"
What I don't have a class why would I unlock a skill randomly well might as well check it out.
"Open skill menu" I said
(Holy smite) you gather as much light from the world as you can to form a beam does damage according to your mp stat uses 5% mana pool has 5 second cool down. Item specific skill does 2x damage against undead.
"Caliburn you have more item specific skills?"I asked
"I actually have a few and they should be vital right now because you don't have a class and under levelled"she answered
"Well thanks I guess"I thanked
"Your welcome" Caliburn answered
"I'm surprised you didn't stutter" I said curiously
"I'm getting used to talking to someone other than King Arthur"Caliburn answered
But then the mutated soldiers started rapidly spawning again and spikes started coming my direction.
"Well no time to talk time to get back to battle"I said
"As always"Caliburn answered
I tried to fire a holy blast but it seems like I need to do the motion and charge it up. I raised my sword and it started to radiate like the sun and a ball appeared in the tip and I pointed it at the charging mutated soldiers. A beam of light burned through a column of them and the rest caught fire I guess mutated soldiers count as undead. I waited five seconds before blasting the next column of soldiers. I cleared out most of them and level up to 12. I charged to fire a beam at the huge monstrosity but as it collided everything slowly started to fade away.
