Here is chapter 9 : D
****************************************************************************************************************************
Having suddenly been given the knowledge that a real magic practitioner will be coming to teach him about magic causes the excited kalm to become even more hysterical.
''Gramps, you're not playing with me right? Is it real?'' ask kalm with eyes that looked so full of innocences.
''Hmph,Kalm have I ever lied to you before? replied Grandpa blunt
''Yippy!!!!'' shouted out kalm as he jump up from his seating position causing the chair behind to fall backward onto the ground. He than ran toward the old man and gave him a huge hug almost causing him to fall backward on the chair.
The frowning face of the old man disappear almost as if the jealousy did not exist in the first place as he gave the 8 year old kalm a pat on the head before saying '' Having a magic teacher is one thing, but first you will have to be assess upon to see if u have the talent and elementary affinity required to practice magic'
'
Having heard that, kalm gave the old man a confident look as he puffed up his chest confidently and said '' Don't worry gramps, this grandson of yours is a genius that onli appears every 100 years, of cause i will pass this test.''
Looking at the presumptuous attitude the brat was showing, the old man could only sigh and thought about all these years that he had been teaching kalm.'' This brat from the beginning showed great discipline unlike a child of his age during his training yet outside of it he acts like a mischievous little beast. He was able to withstand all those painful tempering but could not endure an empty stomach.''I really wonder if he is seriously mature for his age or just a bratty kid.'' Thought the old man to himself.

As for kalm himself, he knows for a certain that he will clear the assessment for magic training as with his scarlet cateye, he could clearly see that his affinity with the fire, dark element were high and as for the 3rd steel element, it was classfield as Divine being the highest or the highest. Thus he could boast as there was no chance of him failing it.
Looking back at the old man's face, kalm asked '' so what is the name of this teacher of mine? And how did you find a teacher for me? Is the teacher a he or a she? and.....''
''Its a favor from an old friend of mine and for the rest of your questions, you will have to wait and see. Hohohoho'' Interrupted the old man before kalm could flood in with more questions.
A few days went by as the date stated for the arrival of the teacher arrives. An anxious kalm about be seen inside the cabin as he fidget around nervously as this arrival signified an encounter with a new person in this world beside his gramp ever since the day he was born into this world.
''Gramp, do i look presentable enough or should i change into my training gear instead?''
''You look fine, stop pacing around the cabin and sit down'' commanded the old man as he held one of his hand to his forehead messaging it. The entire morning has been a hassle for the old guy as this overly energetic kalm has been pestering him non-stop about how to make the best first impression toward his new teacher.
Suddenly, the old man's face turn into a sneer and said'' your teacher is here''. Kalm body straighten up like a pole before turning his sight on the door anticipating the arrival of the person. Seconds passes and within a minute, a sound of knocking came from the door followed by a cute voice of a young lady.
''I've come from the province city of Lotta on behalf of my Dad, Lord Darwin von Belkan on a assignment to access ermm young master kalm.''

He finds an intruder in his room, who claims to be a woman—a mythical creature only existed in ancient texts. Suspecting she’s a government experiment, Alexei determines to find answers to the impossible existence of women. However, the deeper he digs into the dark, the further he realizes there’s more to the eternal war than he’s allowed to know. And the sooner he can stop the cycle of needless deaths the better, before he's shut down. Permanently. [Apart from being a war novel, this story is also a progression fantasy. The MC will get stronger, acquire more special abilities and fighting gears. They come later in the story, though.]

Saga of Fallen Kings, Book I: The Revenant Prince
The Philosopher King once conquered the known world, his power seemingly unlimited and his armies inexhaustible. Since that time his might has slowly unravelled, and his once steadfast empire has begun to crack, splinter and devour itself. In the isolated Southern Realms, where even magic has abandoned them, none of that matters. For years it has been filled with warring kingdoms, where as many kings die to the blade as to old age, and constant battles tear apart the land. When one such kingdom invades its old enemy, the King and his heir, Prince Caden, are killed. Unable to accept the loss of his family Prince Arian is broken, and when the Philosopher King stretches out his hand in aid, Arian takes it without a second thought. When Caden wakes from death, he's different. His eyes and soul have changed, and he finds a world filled with friends who no longer trust he's even human. Suddenly thrust onto the throne and indebted to the Philosopher King, Caden has no choice but to keep going - he must finish what his father started, and try to survive the machinations of the figure who now owns his fealty. Meanwhile something beyond death stirs for him, desiring nothing more than to drag him back into its embrace. Author's Note: This story used to be known as "A King of his Own", but after some consideration I have decided to rebrand it. The first reason is that I was growing increasingly dissatisfied with the title. The second is that I have come increasingly to view this story as a 'saga' containing multiple 'books' rather than one long, continuous publication, and as I did so I realized that as I was quickly getting to a point in the story where I wanted the first 'book' to end. This doesn't mean I'm going back on the things I said below - they're just going to continue in the next book of the Saga of Fallen Kings. :) Also, be aware that I do plan to edit this at some point. Though I take care to squash out any obvious errors when I proof-read, and do simple edits in that process, at some point I'm almost certainly going to do large edits that might significantly change parts of the story. Old author's notes: This started as a completely random writing session. There was no purpose or direction, but as I kept typing an entire world began to form in my mind that I knew I had to write about. My plan is to turn this story into a veritable medieval fantasy epic that spans an entire world, follows multiple character and storylines, and takes place over many years. The story has quite a grounded, almost 'realistic' start, but many more fantastical elements will be introduced, expanded upon and become central to the narrative. I have ideas for this story that make me genuinely excited and I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy writing it, and join me on what will hopefully become a truly massive fantasy epic. If you do enjoy this story please consider following, rating and leaving a review. I'm also happy to answer any questions or comments you have. The taverns edge is a fiction that centers around a pair of unusual friends. A mercenary that happens to be a princess of fae, but prefers to stay in a well-known établissement instead of staying in the Sidhe. Moira. Being half a dragon doesn't really help getting along with snobbish elitists at her mother's court. Like all sidhe she likes to strike a good deal... Which has led into many a disaster... Though she always tends to get by, especially when she gets home to the Tavern on the edge. The mentioned établissement is run by the formidable Barkeeper and jack of all trades Tora, who happens to have a very interesting past. Which involves more than one sinister secret... Now add to the mix a totally clueless elven girl - a mortal, not a fae- on the run. Lunara. She has unknowingly struck a deal with the devil - quite literally. Now unable to handle the consequences on her own she enters the tavern on the edge. An epicenter for magic and the only place where she might find help. She talks Moira into helping her out. A race against time begins as the deal's symbols appear on Lunara's skin. The journey leads to the dwarven empire, the sidhe and wherever the crossing leylines under the tavern may lead. This fiction belongs to the same universe as Ancient Blood. English is not my native language, so please don't be harsh. This story is an adaption of an idea, that we, a friend of mine and me, have developed over a few months while taking a break from learning. Some parts were written by Emberspark. Thank you for allowing me to work with your ideas and letting me publish this as a whole. Updates... I will try to frequently update both of my fictions... Well in case you are interested I post it on Scribble hub, too. I really don't steal from myself 😂
