《Terror Infinity- Absolute》15-Eternal Labyrinth School 6

Luke, Jack and Smitt rushed through the hallways, the interior of the school only had florescent lights and no windows to provide natural sunlight. Occasionally bloodstains stained the hallways as well as mangled supply caches which seems devoid of supplies.
Jack had questions in his head but Luke was rushing far ahead, to excited to be disturbed by small talk while Smitt was naturally silent. All that Jack could do was think silently to himself as they traversed the hallways in search of Class 5's Track field.
Thinking up the details of the Beast in the Fields school mystery he thought about all the information he had gathered so far.
"Trial 02: Beast in the Fields, Keyword: Lycaon" Jack thought to himself. Lycaon sound like a familiar sounding name, but Jack couldn't put the pieces together. Something to do with beasts. A beast tamer? Name of a legendary beast of myth and legends? Jack could only shake his head as he went.
Soon the hallways were starting to dim, the brisk sounds of running and scuttling of beasts with multiple legs had started to emerge but this only further motivated the trio to quicken their pace.
"Should be coming up soon" Luke exclaimed and he took a left at the next hallway with Jack and Smitt following closely behind.
Not long afterwards the lights in the hallways went dark, the only lights illuminating it was the red emergency lights that gave the hallway an eerie glow. Not to far away Jack felt the air move, something, a lot of things, were moving toward them.
"How much longer?" Jack called out and Luke exclaimed "Almost there."
Jack quickly deployed a barrier behind him and in an instant something with the force of a tidal wave smashed into it.
Feeling this force Jack took a peek behind him and saw a whole sea of insects. the insects crawled together as if altogether they made a single true body. The insects relapsed and surged forward once more, the momentum of multiple insects made them move faster than Jack had perceived and he hastily set up another barrier.

Once again the force of the wave jolted Jack's concious and Jack knew he wouldn't be able to hold out for long.
'We're here' Luke suddenly announced and he quickly opened a door onto a wide-open courtyard, the center was lit up with a track field.
Jack stumbled forward as the insects crashed once more into his vector shields before they all gave an ominous hissing noise before washing away from the fields.

Everyone present was panting and out of breathe but the one who felt the most weakened was Jack. His mind was spinning and with the lack of oxygen Jack started to descend into hysteria. Random bursts of laughter, combined with hallucinations started to make Jack crack from the pressure but Smitt bashed Jack with his shield and brought him back to his senses.
Luke was waiting patiently, in his thumbs fiddled with a small locket but he quickly put it away when Jack came too. "After seeing your mental state, we might as well rest. Though the experience was fun, a wave of insects? If only I had my surfboard' Luke's eyes were filled with excitement and a radiance shown that Jack had never seen before.
Is that look natural? Someone who truly enjoys the world they are in no matter how grim the situation is? Jack grew even more light-headed with each passing thought so he forced himself to sit down and quietly rest.

-When Jack came to who had known how much time had past but Smitt and Luke were well prepared on facing the challenge.
Seeing that Jack had awoken Luke hastily got up and brushed himself off, the light of day shining brightly overheard. 'Ready?" Luke asked and Jack nods his head, Smitt only prepared his shields. "Lycaon"
Immediately after the words were spoken the brilliant light of day shut off and out came a moon as perfect as a circle.

the field suddenly started to grow into dense forest, combined with very tall grass. the howling of wolves were heard in the distance and a window appeared.
Lycaon, the first werewolf after he tried to feed Zeus the flesh of man. Zeus was outraged at the events that had occur before him and punished Lycaon by turning him into a werewolf. Lycaon vows for vengeance and tonight he hunts you, Make it to the end of the forest
Luke immediately took off and Jack followed after Smitt who took off almost simultaneously.
At first it was smooth sailing, running unobstructed for a while was good, but the first werewolf jumped from the side, Smitt blocked him but this action caused him to start falling behind. Jack had wanted to stop and help him but a second Werewolf had already dropped down from the trees, almost landing on Luke. Smitt quickly deployed a shield blocking the werewolf but a third had already tackled Jack to the ground.
The werewolf growled and lunged for the throat. In panic Jack deployed a shield and redirected the bite, making it land on the arm of the wolf. He then tucked his feet and then released them upwards in hopes of kicking his opponent off. His feet was enhanced with both spirit essence and his vector ability, giving them a powerful launching force which sent the werewolf flying.
Smitt was, by now, surrounded by three to four werewolves and Luke was nowhere to be seen. Jack started to move toward Smitt but despite his dilema, Smitt motioned for Jack to go assist Luke.
Jack wanted to raise his voice in protest but the werewolf that had pinned him from before went on the offensive and swiped a claw at him.
The claw was redirected again with Jack's ability but Jack knew he wouldn't be able to keep it up for long. rushing in the direction Jack believed Luke was going he kept on blocking and avoiding werewolves that would show themselves.
The constant strain of running and constantly deploying shields had taxed Jack's body, his mind was bogged with fog as Jack entered a daze, his mind was struggling to maintain the shields and his body gasped for air as the chemicals were produced to keep it moving.
Jack felt as if he was going into a seizure, legs cramping he would soon be unable to move due to exhaustion.
but the onslaught of the werewolves kept on coming. Jack didn't know why but he felt as if he entered from a confused daze into a focused one, able to sense where each of the werewolves were coming from he instantly deployed a shield with some newly found strength that he didn't know he had.
Although he had managed to fend them off even for a second longer, Jack stumbled and fell to the ground, the daze he was previously in was briefly interrupted but that was enough for his body to start convulsing. The mouth foaming as it desperately screamed for the air which would not reach Jack's lungs.
Jack felt his mind grow numb and in his blurry vision, the sight of the werewolves running away and the skies turning bright once more, this sudden influence of bright light made Jack black out.
