A man and a woman standing side by side against a horde of goblin. Most would fear this kind of situation but to the man it was an eventful experience that will make his blood boils. With no weapon in his hand, he took out a weapon from the invisible inventory. A cold hard iron sword was held on his hand. A drop from some random monster that he kill, a glowing sword in his inventory was left untouched due to the level restriction.

With a weapon on his hand, he spoke to his friend beside him;

‘hey Rinoa, lets see who kill the most’

‘haa? You do know we are in a situation right now’

‘how about the prize would be a crème brulee cake for dessert after dinner hehe’

Rinoa eyes shines bright like a diamond after hearing the reward, and then duo move forward. Ian raise his hand trying to halt their offensive forward going against a horde of goblins.

‘wait you two, its dangerous we need to stick together, shit *chanting his spell*’

Kubo on the other hand try defend against the onslaught of goblins while still being supported by the glow of the healing spell of Tieriea.

Rinoa moves toward Kubo, brandishing her dagger while she continuously activate her only attack skill.

‘Slice of LiuBei!’

Goblins falls, corpses piling up and the circle that surround Kubo start to thin in numbers. Kubo whose eyesight was block by the wall of greenish ugly creature has now able to see his teammates.

He shouted;

‘Ian, Warrior Roar is ready’

Ian released his spell, lightning spark rain down on the goblins that surround Kubo, depleting its health some dead and some in critical condition.

‘now Kubo!’

‘Warrior Roar!!’

And again the goblins surround him once more, but the other goblins were still went toward the 4 man group while at the other side, goblins start to surround Roki.

“damn it Roki, he’s getting to be surrounded cant help it need to put my teammate as the priority”

‘Lola go and help Rinoa, wipe out all the goblin that surround Kubo and Take try to guard as from the goblins attack’

Lola ran up against the tide of goblins, dodging and evading the random attack from some goblins. Thou not perfect she was able to avoid some major attacks. Only a knick and a bruise that can be easily heal with a health potion.

While Rinoa kill most of the goblins, a sneak attack from a goblin that specializes in stealth leap into the air ready to attack her from the blindside, she notice a bit too late but then a dagger was lodge into its neck piercing from one end to another killing it measly life.

‘heh, so much for being that courageous need a hand?’

‘hmph, come on we need to help Kubo’

Then the female wielding dagger duo, move side by side killing off the critically health depleted goblins. Kubo at the center, swing his sword and shield knocking them back and at the same time slashing and hack them into pieces.

As the circle start to thin out, another circle start to thicken and admist the goblins at the center a man wearing a black trench coat bearing the wolf insignia on his back wield his sword and slash them to the goblins surrounding him.

He parry and slash its neck, he dodge and stab its heart he leap and crack its skull. It was like an action scene straight from the cinemas. Resembling the film 300, the action sequence was remarkably similar. It wasn’t a skill that he learns or talent that he possessed but simply experience. His mere experience of two weeks combat had help him so far and that alone was his weapon against this goblins.

Surrounded by green creatures and the continuous attack from them, Roki managed to stay alive while dodging all those pitiful attacks.

This scene was not able to be seen by anyone except for Tieriea, as she continuously heal Kubo her eye caught seeing Roki being surrounded. Sweat trickles down at the side of her temple, it wasn’t worried but astonishment at what she was seeing. The fight scene that she saw was amazing and it was ingrained deep in her mind.

Ian on the other hand, used energy ball to ward off goblins while at the same time cast his wide area spells, he already abandon Roki as it was a lost cause. Take pierce his opponent with his rapier doing good used of his fencing skill.

then the goblins surrounding Kubo was gone laid motionless on the ground.

‘glad that’s finish’

‘yeah’

The trio then walk toward the tired looking Ian. Rinoa spoke;

‘that was a great fight’

‘yeah huh huh huh’

While they were talking with each other it seems they have forgotten about someone, but Tieriea eyes was still fix toward one direction. The direction of Roki. concentrating and not taking her eyes off, she was now seeing a man with a bloodied sword sitting on top a mound of goblins corpses.

She was terrified, the numbers that he slaughter was closed to twice the number that surround Kubo. And within those scene that she saw Roki was like a smiling demon killing of innocent green colored ugly variation of smurf. She was having mix feeling, terrified and amazement. The way he dodged each and every attacks from the goblin were crude but still surge the feeling of a skillful warrior.

Then their eyes met Tieriea shivers on her spine. Roki eyes were staring straight to her. then he walks slowly toward the group. The distance between them was quiet far and none notice about his lonely battle except for Tieriea.

‘thank you Rinoa for your help, if it wasn’t for you our formation would have crumble’

Ian praise Rinoa exceptional fighting capabilities, in his mind he was well aware the addition of her into the party would be a huge boost in their rate of leveling. He was undeniably happy of her presence. At the same time he felt a bit sad about abandoning her friend the one wearing the wolf coat. He hesitantly told the sad news about her friend

‘Rinoa about your friend…’

‘ouh yeah now that you mention it where is Roki’

She looks around to her surroundings trying to find her friend, she was a bit worried since he was only a level 5 beginner. But no matter where she looks she could not find him. Until the little runt spoke bad about her dear friend.

‘heh, I guess that smug exhibionist is already dead haha serve him right’

‘hey don’t say that, Roki…’

‘you called’

Ian was surprised he could not fathom after hearing his voice, the one voice that he has abandon after seeing him engulf and surrounded by countless numbers of goblins. At the same time, Tieriea unknowingly step back away like she was afraid of him. Tieriea wasn’t being her sarcastic self, no one notice it except the one who met her eyes, that was Roki.

As Roki chat with Rinoa, he occasionally glance toward Teiriea that brought her a certain degree of fear in her heart. Ian on the other hand was still speechless on how he still live and wasn’t injured at all. Does he make a mistake? Would he told her that he had been abandon by Ian. Before Roki would rat him out, he tries to intervene the dialog between those childhood friends.

‘Rinoa, im…’

Before Ian could finish Roki struck him down

‘yaaa Rinoa im getting bored lets go find that goblin boss’

‘hmm yeah yeah but you know you will be dead when you against him alone’

‘at least it would be interesting hehe, right Ian-san’

Directed toward Ian, he could unconsciously nod his head to Roki. While Lola on the other hand started to be irritated by the dilly dallying of her party. She shouted toward them

‘hey!! Lets go we don’t have all day, yaa nii-san don’t bother by these people , treasure awaits us’

Ian sigh for relieved, it seems Roki doesn’t really mind after what he did and for the time being he was happy that his little sister was being her own usual self driving away the uncomfortable situation. The party then move forward to the last hurdle of this dungeon before they reach the treasures that they have been seeking.

As they went forward to their destination, Roki once again glance toward Tieriea. With a hint of secrecy within his eyes, the glance was meant to Tieriea. Tieriea body halt from moving forward, her eyes were shaking she interpret the glance as a warning to kept his strength a secret from the others.

But…

“damn it those cat ears I really cant take my eyes of them and look at those fluffy purplish fur tail of her I wish I could touch it should I ask her hmm”

Yup, Roki loves cat moreover with the addition of the werecat, to be a companion of someone who has those fluffy fur would make him the happiest guy alive. Well these story goes way back when in the past he has a munchkin cat which is called Neko it was the fluffiest cat he ever had and sad to be told an accident occur and Neko die a miserable death. Roki grief for one week straight after Neko death.

Now if after coming in contact with any feline species he would be excited under those cold and no expression of his. The urge to pat those fur was undeniably strong. So strong that his gaze was mistaken for something else.

So in fact he didn’t really mind about Tieriea seeing him massacring all those green goblin. Now a misunderstanding has been build. One who love cats and one who fear the cold blooded killer. Lets see how this misunderstanding develop then hehe.

‘hey Tieriea what are you standing around for come on lets move’

Lola who notices the stiff Tieriea, alarm her through her words. waking her from the fear stricken emotion.

‘yes, im coming’

Lola shows a weird face, Tieriea isn’t acting like she used to. The stern and uncouth mouth of hers cannot be heard since the time after the battle. Usually her rude remarks would be flying after each confrontation usually toward the frontliner and especially Lola. The only one she wouldn’t hurl those remark was Ian and currently it looks like another individual was put onto the list. Not out of respect like Ian but fear.

But Lola shrug it off with her thought thinking it must be one of her silent cursing days. While they leisurely walk through the dungeon heading tower the last phase of the dungeon. They all chat among each other while sharing with each other regarding their experience and mostly about gaming.

All of them talk enthusiastically except for three people Roki, Ian and Tieriea. Roki was not very familiar with all the games that they all talk about well it was partly due his disinterest in games. Not like the gamers around him mostly Rinoa, shes the one who was chatting quite happily about her achievement in playing games.

Tieriea and Ian were also avid gamer, but something were on their mind. Tiereia with fear to Roki and Ian feeling regret and uncomfortable with Roki. he sense a hidden secret within this Roki fella.

“why doesn’t he rat me out, does he has any other motives or is he waiting for the right time to blurt it out to Rinoa, should I gave some kind of compensation perhaps or wouldn’t that be more clear of me bribing him. Ughh damn it why did I have to leave him. I wont let him be the wall between me fast leveling along with the powerful childhood friend of his”

Meanwhile Roki on the other hand his head was full of thought about;

“huh~~~ that was refreshing its been awhile since I was in that kind of situation, while I still didn’t need to used my skill it was still a pleasure fighting those ugly green kids haha, lets see they said that the leader of those ugly creatures is up ahead please be more fun that before hehe”

With each of their own thoughts running through their mind, they then reach the land of the boss dungeon. Up ahead in 100 meter distance a rustic and old throne was sit upon a grotesque green creature. In front of it were groups of different variation of goblins lining up defending their King. Yes it’s the Green Goblin King!

Lola spoke up after seeing the monstrosity;

‘ahhh, its that fucking ugly King again nii-san could we kill it much faster its ugly face is freaking annoying’

Ian demeanor change to his charismatic appearance again, forgetting about him and Roki he then concentrate to the enemy in front of him. A tough boss to be defeated but with he and his group level much stronger than before the battle ahead would be less difficult.

Currently he has a lot of confidence than before, once again he strategizes with his party.

‘huddle up guys, this is the last hurdle before we get to the bountiful treasure. I know the previous battle with the goblin king was quite hard but with the current us I know we can sure tackle this without problem. With all those underling surrounding him we will go with Take and Tieriea duo concentrating on the Goblin King. The both of you are enough to handle him, I will provide support from the back once in a while. Kubo you and I will handle the others while Lola move around the battlefield kill all of those who are in the brink of death, and hit the blind spot of the goblin king if you had the chance, stay around the perimeter of the goblin king your critical would be beneficial to reduce its health. Rinoa could I ask for your assistance this time, although the numbers this time doesn’t amount like the last battle it would proof to be much easier with your help’

‘yea sure I would glad to be of help, hey Roki how about you add an extra slice of crème brulee for another round the last time I did win didn’t I hehe’

Roki look at Rinoa while saying;

‘hmm are you sure you win the last time hehe’

‘ehhh what do you mean Roki of course I won I kill about 40 or so how about you’

‘hmmm lets add up after this shall we’

‘hey you are not telling’

Ian while watching those two exchanging friendly banter, he was nervous on how Roki would move in this battle situation. He would like to gave an order to him but he was afraid it would strain the relationship between him and Roki.

Before he could try talking to him a sudden message alert open out with a warning red sign;

‘eh whats this?’

Rinoa ask after looking at the shocking red window in front of her, Ian reply to her question moving in front;

‘it’s the boss alert, didn’t know it could sense us this far, come on guys lets kill it before the time ends’

‘but nii-san the last time we kill it was around 2hours or so how can we kill it within one hour?’

‘don’t worry we could do it’

‘initiate!!’

The party dash forward to Ian’s command, Rinoa was a step behind due to her not accustomed yet to their movement. On the other hand Roki, was still standing around just looking at the dashing of 6 people toward the prey he had his sight on.

‘oh no guys at least leave some for me’

While on the move, Tieriea quickly cast buff on her teammates it seems even with her in an uncomfortable situation she was still a professional that loves gaming. The other readies their potions and buffs themselves with their own self buff. Their swords dagger and staff start to glow indicating they all ready to unleashes their skills.

Meters away before they and the groups of goblin clash, Kubo went to the front follow along by the main duo Take and Tieriea, and then Lola, Rinoa and lastly Ian. They move in a straight line with the intention to pierce through the ranks of goblin going straight to the Goblin King.

Kubo then released his wide area skill after upon contact with the goblin.

‘Shield Bash!’

Upon impact he knock back the goblins at the front leaving quite a big hole. They then dash through while killing some of them, Kubo at the front extensively used his shield bash to mow down the goblins. Take and Tieriea participate less in this skirmish saving their energy for the boss fight. Rinoa and Lola on the other hand eliminated as much as possible so when they stand guard against the boss it would be a lesser burden. Ian at the back also repetitively cast his magic called repulsing wind. Another one of his wide area spells that only function as a knocking back spells that push away the opponent around him in a 7 meter radius.

Blasting their way to the Goblin King they then reach him. Kubo, Ian and Rinoa change directions toward the numerous goblins while Tieriea and Take readied themselves against the Goblin King that sat on the throne looking smug and arrogant as the King within the cave.

‘ho hik you people ho hik how dare you kill my kin ho hik’

The king voice was ugly as he looks. A tad bit taller than a normal goblin by a feet. The goblin king is equip with a chip iron sword on his right hand while on the left was a dysmorphic gigantic arm that was the same size as his whole body.

‘ho hik my goblins kill the intruder!!! Ho hik!!!’

Then the goblins move in to attack. ian shout to his party;

‘guys ready!! Take and Tieriea if you are in a pinch don’t hesitate and ask our help’

‘yes!’

‘yes!’

Rush of goblins move toward them though not as many as before their strength was a whole lot different. They brace for impact; Kubo step to the front line and released his skill to counter the surge.

‘Shield bash!!’

Ian released his spell blocking the surge;

‘Repulsing wind!!’

Rinoa without any wide area skill, make used of her one and only skill and jump into the fray of goblins. She kill one by one with her dagger glowing with the essence of her skill. she ran around the front line slash through her ways against counts of goblins.

As she strikes them down she suddenly met a bump. A large goblin block her way, by size alone it definitely was the same as the Goblin King. Different from the King its body was full of fat looking an obese greenish person while only wearing ragged underpants. On its hand lie a large hammer that needs to be wields with both hands. It’s a variation type goblin, sub-boss Goblin King Left hand commander!!

On the other side, Take and Teiriea face against the hideous King. Brandishing his rapier while standing in a fencing stance. His rapier glows with a green hue. Then the goblin King raise from his throne, noticing the emanating killing intent coming from the calm and collected Take.

The goblin King as move a step towards them, he then ran while dragging his large left arm. Though his movement speed was slow, the confrontation between Take and the Goblin King was still nerve wrecking. Usually he would take on the Goblin King along with the rest of the party but to cut down the time needed to kill the boss he has no other choice but to face it alone with Tieriea. With 10 meter or so until it reach Take, he pray to the god of his religion as a way to calm himself down then the distance narrow down to 5 meters.

He falls silent as he finishes his prayer and launch toward the Goblin King. As fast as lightning his rapier pierce the right shoulder of the Goblin King. Knocking it back at the same time. he withdraw stand guard on his fencing stance once again. It’s the ideal attack pattern of a fencer. The basic of lunge of a fencer was the core of its attack.

With the injured shoulder the Goblin King was awared of the danger that this Take brings. Even if the attack only deplete its health by only a mere 2% it was still nevertheless a full on powerful attack. the Goblin King yell in anger;

‘how dare you!!! Ho hik!!!’

It ran again and lifting his huge arm, he delivered a wide swing of his arm intended to Take. Take avoids it but the fast arm swing manages to land a knick on his body depleting his health to 10% less. Truly a boss level attack even with their level narrow down at the same or so once it hit it was still able to be fatal.

Tieriea quickly cast heal recovering Take health at the back line.

‘thanks Tieriea’

‘shut up and just focus on the Goblin King’

‘hmm seems your harsh words came back’

Tiereia while facing against the Goblin King her worries and fear about Roki disappear. Take once again lunge to the Goblin King;

‘Alez’

A swift thrusting attack at a closer distance from before, his rapier pierce another part of his body. the goblin King backs away and slash his nick iron sword to Take. Take step back and avoided the sword swings. But then he was caught off guard, an arm swing was heading his way while he was distracted by the sword slash.

A full on arm swing landed on his side with another 20% lost. White light glow surround his body as his body slowly recovered.

‘Take try not to always get hit my heal has a cooldown of 20 seconds or so and healing aurora has 30 seconds’

‘hait hait’

He stands up and lunge again, like a fencer in the original world his attack pattern was the hit and run kind of style. He continues to barrage the goblin king a continuous attack of thrusting. The goblin king doesn’t sit around while being attack, he retaliate by swing his huge arm and slashing his sword franticly. It was a sad sight for a boss to be attacking like that, it almost look miserable but its sheer power of its left arm was undeniably strong along with multiple numbers of underling that two points made him the boss as it is.

Its random attack able to throw Take off of his balance leading to him currently with only less of his health. Tiereia at the back was still yelling curses for not managing his health in an appropriate way.

‘why you f%^&%^@ cut the crap dodge those shitty attack why you im gonna make your a$#@ bleed’

‘haha there she goes again with remarks of her, might as well dodge then before it escalated more bad’

‘alez’

Once again he lunge to the goblin king avoiding the wide arm swing by just a hair breadth. It seems his concentration has reach its peak for an Olympian fencer, the real world really does reflect in the virtual world. it would be frightening if his status become stronger along with his fencing skill he would be undeniably strong.

But right now against a level 24 boss monster, it was hard for the lone swordman to fight, as he pierce another part of the Goblin King body, the monster quickly retaliate and counter with a fast single arm hug. Using its huge left arm it was enough to gave tightening bear hug. Take scream for pain;

“damn it I put the pain setting a bit higher, shit my health is dropping”

‘haha need help you newb Take!’

“oh god that annoying voice”

‘Lola is here to rescue’

“please why did she has to be Ian’s sister haish~”

‘Critical stab!’

The dagger deeply penetrated the back of the goblin king, since he was occupied of trying to kill Take, the appearance of Lola made his situation a little bit more difficult. Lola continue to stab at the blindspot of the goblin king hitting its weak spot. Its health bar start to drop quickly. Panicking the goblin king released Take and swing his huge arm to his back trying to get rid off Lola. Lola notice the incoming attack and dodge it. but the impact of the swing hit the ground letting out debris flying in the air hitting Lola’s eyes. Her vision was block and at that moment another swing of the arm was targeting the defenseless Lola.

Take notice the attack but it was a step a bit too late. His lunge reach wasn’t fast enough. Then a skill was activated;

‘Slice of LiuBei!!’

A three combo attack landed on the swinging arm decreasing it momentum and putting it on a halt. Glancing to the back, the maiden elf said to the Little Lola;

‘Need a help a n-e-w-b-i-e’

Lola expression shows she was irritated.

On the other hand a certain man sitting upon the corpse of the goblin variant that look similar to the Goblin King Left Hand Commander while wiping his sword from the blood.

‘hmm I guess next would be that ugly creature at the rundown throne, sad this thing was fast to die’

Once again he walk to the Goblin King, while saying;

‘time for fun!’
