Seeming like he knows what Roki said, he yell at him infuriated by what he said. The bulking goblin ran toward Roki while retracting his fist ready to deliver it straight into his face. Roki could only grin seeing how enthusiastic this 2 meter goblin was.

He provoked the bulky goblin even further while gesturing using his hand to come. The bulky goblin approach even faster while roaring quite loudly. Then a straight punch flew straight to the 170 cm size Roki. the difference between them was 30cm and that itself was enough for its long limb to reach Roki even faster.

Roki saw the incoming attack, it was simple but exude the terrifying power that was hidden within those bulking muscles. He knows with only one attack his health would be depleted to nil quite fast. So he dodge it by also moving forward while leaning downward. As avoid the punch, his body drop down toward the ground and as he deems it as the right time he push forward using the momentum of the fall and his leg strength to accelerate himself.

Using the acceleration he push himself forward and released his iron sword from its sheath while at the same time slashing the legs of the bulky goblin right at its popliteal fossa. Passing the bulky goblin after manage to send a hit to it. he turn around and look at its health bar. Only drop down to 2% only.

‘hmm still weak huh, should I use sword strike? But then it would die to fast hmm’

The bulky goblin change his direction and ran to Roki again, again the motion was the same a straight punch, easy and simple. He ready himself to avoid like previously, but then something change. The bulky goblin at the middle of the motion of attack twist his body while using the motion of the punch to be much faster than before. Twisting his body, he change the punch direction toward the ground seeing how Roki already leaning downward making him vulnerable to downward attack.

Noticing it a tad faster, he accelerated more quickly from before though it has less speed the purpose was only to avoid the incoming attack. but it was coming fast, Roki knows he will at least get hit a bit then he used his sword to parry the incoming attack while twisting his body upwards. He managed to parry and he landed on the ground two meters away from the bulky goblin.

Readying himself in a weird sword stance that he watch from some Chinese fantasy kung fu story. His eye turn keen and focus. Then he move, running swiftly he then clash with the bulky goblin. He gave a horizontal slash, while the bulky goblin try to once again punch him. The slash meet the lateral side of his arm first causing him to miss his aim. The attack barely injured him but Roki press on.

He was already accustomed to his weak attacks, one thing for sure what he did learn after going against multiple or more accurately hundreds of enemies, they way to cleanly dispatch their lives was to constantly hit its weak target. In that sense he managed to completely wiping out the groups of goblins from before.

This time he was up against the power type goblin. After the first attack he then continuously slash and stab his sword through the flesh of the muscle mass goblin. Attack after attack, the both of them exchanges fist and sword. On the body of the bulky goblin, thin line of sword wounds was starting to manifest. One thing for sure he notice a peculiar habit of the bulky goblin. It always try to avoid a clean hit to his arm pit.

That trigger Roki to notice its weak point. With that in mind, he press on even harder putting the pressure on to the hideous creature. The barrage of punches released from the bulky goblin was being dodge cleanly by the nimble Roki. the trajectory and speed of his punch was already been compared to his previous encounter which was a lot more stronger and faster.

Irritated by non- hitting attack, the bulky goblin let his guard down exposing it weak point. Roki took the chance and slashes the arm pit as much as he can. Then it health bar started to drop quickly with each attack only amount to 2% or so. Numerous slash was need in that time frame. But Roki able to deplete it up to 60%.

Then the bulky goblin punch toward the ground after his health reach the 60% limit. The punch shook the ground leaving Roki wobbling a bit. In that moment, the bulky goblin released its weapon. The claymore strap on its back was released. During the momentary confusion, a huge vertical slash came down on Roki.

Roki thought

“shit this is intense cant jump might as well endure then”

He brace himself and block the attack with his own sword. The pressure emitted by the claymore was enough to drop him to the knee. The claymore getting closer inches away from reaching Roki’s face. then a notification came up;

Then he dash to the bulky goblin, his sword was lighter than usual and felt freedom at the same time, it was the sword like his extended body part. Eyeing the armpits of the goblin, he swiftly send two slash that occur almost simultaneously.

It was clean cut, both arm drop to the ground as his sword was soak in blood. The bulky goblin yell out of intense pain.

Standing up he then lightly jog toward the Green Goblin King while saying;

Rinoa on the other hand was facing the other commander of the Green Goblin King.

She dash forward with her dagger start to glow. The left hand commander looks pudgy compare to the bulky one. He then swing his rusted hammer to the beautiful elf that was charging to him. The hammer fall to the ground in a vertical direction, missing its target. Rinoa dodge and deliver three attacks to his body.

All of it were criticals, the triple criticals send the pudgy goblin down to the ground on its knee. Leaving him in a defenseless state, Rinoa notice the sudden change and she took her chances slashing him a few times until he was able to get up again supporting himself by using the hammer.

Rinoa quickly back away and took distance from him. Once again the cooldown was finish and the dagger glows again.

‘Round two!’

She dash and lunge her dagger to the heart of the pudgy goblin. But things doesn’t always go with what we want. Before her strike could reach him, normal goblins keep leaping in front of him. Making a shield for the pudgy goblin.

Three goblin quickly died after being hit by Rinoa skill.

‘cheh! This pesky goblins’

Suddenly a hammer went through the goblins corpses while she was distracted by the goblins intervention. It was too close, she could not avoid it

The hammer collide with the body of Rinoa. She was knockback 2 meters away, her health bar quickly dissipates until it reach the 80% mark. For one thing, the attack was purely out of strength. She has more or less another 4 carelessness before she’s dead to the count.

After chanting words of encouragement to herself, she then dash again toward the ugly monste. They then clash against each other. The wide angle of the goblin mad swing was easy to be dodge and she attack. flurry of slashes along with the constant dodging left her and the opponent to a tattered state.

Both she and the goblin were down with reds in their health bar. Even though Rinoa was able to dodge completely, the stamina of hers deplete quickly with the maneuver of dodging took great amount of stamina. At that moment, her concentration started to slip and the hammer was able to land a few leaving her in the current state.

‘didn’t know it would be this hard, sheesh need to get to them faster’

Gulping two bottles of red potion immediately increased her health back to 50%.

Then she face off again with the pudgy goblin, attack after attack the goblin health depleted until 10%. With that less left, the dagger glows and she deliver the last attack. the first attack cut off the wielding arm then the second one cut one of his leg and the last one she stab it straight to the heart. After a few brief moments, the health turns to zero. The goblin turns limp and turns to corpse. She dislodges the dagger and drinks another health potion.

Blue notification window open up, indicating her level increasing. She then turn going up against the other goblins killing them while running toward the one protecting the line before they could disturb the main duo which were fighting the boss monster.

Ian and Kubo were desperately fighting for their lives as goblins were pushing them. Kubo with his shield and sword hold down the goblins from approaching their King. Ian cast all of magical spell that he could think off. mostly utilizing the everlasting energy ball. A collection of energy that burst upon contact with an enemy. at certain interval he released his wide area spell obliterating the other goblins.

Red and blue potion kept being gulp down at a fast rate within this battle. Showing how much mana and health are being used to halt the advance the goblins. Then Rinoa arrived at the scene, once again the only skill she have triumph against all odds. Goblins corpses start to pile up. Their number started to decreased. The pressure from was becoming less. Easing the situation of the trio.

Ian then notice the timer, it was already past the 40 minutes line. If the team up they can surely prevail much easier. But there was still goblins running around that act as hindrance. The he saw the light that will act as the only chance for them to win this.

‘Rinoa! Go help Take and Tieriea’

Rinoa then rush to the duo leaving Ian and Kubo to fend for themselves. Then she spotted Lola in a pinch. It seems the Goblin King action are becoming more wilder since his health started to drop below the 45%. Take then rush to the both of them to help them keeping the Goblin King at bay.

His number one skill pierce the goblin hide but it only decreased its health only up to 1%. It seems the defensive capabilities of the Goblin King has increased after being at the madden state. Even the knockback wasn’t present even after it hits.

‘shit its getting stronger backaway Rinoa, Lola’

The trio back away from the menancing Goblin King. Thought it look pretty weak but the present of that damn arm of his surely add up the boss factor. Rinoa then spoke;

‘guys we have 17 min or so left, Ian ask me to help you guys defeat it’

With no time to waste Rinoa rush first then follow along by Take and Lola on the other hand circle the Goblin King in hoping of doing a backstab for more damage. The goblin King franticly slash with his sword in the air with no target what so ever. This kept them from nearing him for the wariness of a sudden arm swing attack.

Finding an opportunity, Take spot one and released another Sword pierce the speed of the attack was fast reaching dead on to its head with intention of killing it swiftly but it was indeed difficult. The Goblin King block using his huge arm causing him to miss his mark. RInoa on the other hand already ran after Take make the initial start up movement.

She released her skill attacking the weak spot that was created when the Goblin King was busy blocking. Her dagger connected and three combo flashed in the air hitting the face of the Goblin King. A chunk of its health fly leaving him with less than 40%.

The goblin King quickly retaliates, a deafening yell was released from its mouth causing Rinoa to be stun on the spot. A two second stun was enough for her to meet her doom by the punch of his left punch. In those two seconds, it seems like time has halt Rinoa was in the brink of death. She knows even with one hit she would surely be dead with her health point that was only at 50% or so.

But then the punch misdirected, behind the Goblin King another dagger was struck at his neck from behind. It was Lola she found her chance and utilizes it to the fullest. The backstab was successful and a chunk of its health depleted even more.

30% left and there was 10 minute or so before the period ends. The Goblin King spins around violently trying to get the pest at his back to flew off. Lola was flung in the air and before she hit to the ground someone was able to grab ahold of her. she immediately said;

‘waa onii-chan thank you for saving me!!’

But to her dismay it was Kubo and not her loving brother.

‘ugh Kubo where is onii-san’

Ian quickly said to Lola that stands beside Kubo who was carrying his little sister.

‘Lola be ready we need to finish this quickly’

‘ugh fine onii-san Kubo let me down’

She then ran as fast as she can to find the perfect opportunity. Ian and Kubo arrive beside the Take and Rinoa. Rinoa barely escaped from death while Take skill wasn’t able to pierce the thick arm.

Both of them connected, leaving 25% left. The goblin King quickly gain his balance again and blast another punch toward Kubo. At that moment Kubo immediately cast warrior roar to up his defense against the devastating punch.

Kubo brace on the attack and was push 3 meters back. the attack itself cause damage around 20%. Even with the heavily defense of Kubo was only able to withstand about that kind of damage. At that moment another person deal a blow to its neck. Lola appear from the silent dark and critically stab his neck. 3% was down and its health was currently 22%.

He turns around and slash his sword to the back. Lola quickly anticipate and evade it. a nick land on her knee, 10% was cut off from her health. His eyes were in a blind rage observing the intruders that mock his king status.

Then the air become cold and chilly, above them the air starts to form mist of dense cold temperature. Then he spoke of the words that will kill the living daylight of the Goblin King.

‘Cold shard’

Shards of ice start pouring down on the lone Goblin King. The goblin king roar out of pain and anguish. Its health quickly depleted until it was left with 1 percent. Take, Rinoa, Kubo and Lola quickly manifest their skills targeting the Goblin King releasing it simultaneously. As all four of them connect, its health turn zero.

The corpse of the Goblin King drop dead and numerous window notification bombard them;

For early level like them even 1 silver was hard to find let alone gold coin.

She need the economic support to rise herself in this world. to reach her goal faster so she has no time to be a graceful lady or whatsoever. She need to reap what she can as long as its benefit her.

As they ran Rinoa look back and thought about Roki;

Ian grab ahold of her before she could crazily ran back to the mouth of the dragon.

‘Rinoa we could not help him, come lets go’

‘but, Roki because of me he….’

The mouth of the dragon start to raise in temperature with a motion to release a breath attack it targeted the fleeing puny humans.

‘DRAGON BREATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’

A torrent of flame with the highest degree of temperature scorch it way to them, gold within the proximity started to melt due to the flame of the dragon. As the flame spread out in an arc, Ian and Rinoa was the first to be in contact while the other three were still running their lungs out to reach the exit. A thought float in Ian’s mind;

“we are dead”

Then burst sounds start to explode creating vibration and tremors within this enclosed room. Ian who was closing his eyes opens up and saw someone cutting the flame that was apparently just in front of him then she heard Rinoa shout the name;

‘Roki!!!’

Ian was shocked never that he thought the one who was blocking the flame was Roki. for someone that he thought maybe a bit higher in level than him could withstand the might of a dragon’s flame was astounding. He then heard Roki shouted;

‘Ian!! Drag Rinoa out of here, I will hold it off!!’

But Rinoa rebels not wanting to leave Roki by himself, her judgement was clouded due to her friend in mortal danger.

‘no Roki!!! come with me I cant leave you Roki’

‘Ian-san please bring Rinoa back!!’

Ian then drag Rinoa out of there, Rinoa try to resist but she could not move after Ian put a paralyzing spell on her. her eyes let out a tear as she was sad that Roki was left behind. As they past through the chambers door leading to the goblin king encampment. The ceiling floor collapses blocking off the entrance door. As the sight of Roki start to disappear, Rinoa stare at him until the last gap before it was block, Roki face her and let out a smile;

They were separated, Rinoa and Roki are not together block by the debris of the ceiling of the dungeon. She fell down to her knees and cry her lungs out. Even thought it’s a game the thought of leaving Roki pains her. even the others know what she felt as they all are pure gamer, to them this virtual is reality.

Roki on the other hand was fighting for his life as he cut down the flames of a dragon with his iron sword. The dragon notice that the thief has escaped by the sacrifice of one lone man. The dragon was enraged.

‘ROARRRRR HOW DARE YOU BLOCK MY FLAME NOW FEEL THE INTENSITY OF IT!!!!!’

The flame increased in intensity as another shot of flame torrent blast through Roki. but Roki endure it, for a level 5 to endure this magnitude of attack was shocking. His master level sword strike able him to cut through any attacks even the flame of a dragon but it was also with a cost. His mana start to deplete fast, even with the usage only needed 1 mana but for him who was only having around 275 mana or so was not very pleased of the current situation. Plus his iron sword start to deteriorate in durability even with claded by the sword strike aura the strength of the terrifying flame was indeed tough to endure.

The iron sword durability rapidly start to decreased, unknown to him he then leap out of the flame after knowing the others are safe. Leaping upwards he quickly buff himself with the only buff skill that he has.

‘Improve concentration!!’

All his senses heighten to its peaks, his agility his critical his attack speed his evasion was at the peak of a master level. With no time to waste he push while still in mid-air using the blast force of two soul orb from his spell Soul beat. He approaches fast to the dragon then his sword collide with the horn at the dragon nose.

Tremendous pressure exert from just that one clash. The dragon was unscathed from the attack and mock Roki for his puny little attempt.

‘FUTILE LITTLE THIEF YOUR ATTACK WILL NOT HURT ME LET ALONE LEAVING A SCRATCH NOW DIE!!’

‘DRAGON HORN!!’

Roki who just land to the ground after the clash bent over feeling the might of a true dragon compare to Miss Zhang this was in a different league. But he wasn’t worry and he wasn’t anxious. Deep within him, his heart start to beat.

It’s the sensation that he long for, a sensation of being alive a sensation of being in a life and death situation. Right now the expression that he was showing was pure happiness a smile from cheek to cheek. Or more to a grin rather than a smile hehe.

He then dash forward to the dragon who was also charging toward him with its horn glowing with strength. Once again they collide, but the sheer force of the dragon horn attack are too much for him to handle, he instinctly back away and let the momentum of the dragon ram to the wall of the chamber. Even with sword strike and sword mastery it was still not enough for him to go against this being attacks.

He then start to cast his spell Soul beat while it was still showing its backside. A hundred orbs floating in the air and rain down the back of the ancient dragon. But to no avail barely a scratch from Roki spell.

‘DONE WITH YOUR EFFORT YOU LITTLE MAN’

Facing Roki once again, the dragon charge toward him with another horn strike. Roki grit his teeth and block it with all his might using sword strike aura and enhanced by improve concentration. At the same time he countlessly cast soul beat trying to hit any weak spot of the dragon. The dragon horn attack knock him back up until an inches away before Roki’s body reach the wall. Then it happen, the iron sword suddenly break and it disintegrate leaving Roki helplessly charge by the ramming of the horn attack.

The wall breaks and crumble by the force of its attack. Roki body vanish within those crumbling walls.

‘HAHAHA FOR A PUNY HUMAN TO WITHSTAND MY ATTACK IS PREPOSTEROUS, NOW DIE AND LET YOUR SOUL GO TO THE NETHERWORLD’

Unknown to the dragon, Roki cast his other spell, stealth when the sword instantly broke. He escaped the deathly attack of the dragon. Currently he was watching the dragon flaunt his power to himself bragging how much powerful he is and how weak is Roki.

Roki silently stare at the obnoxious dragon. He was deep in thought on how to defeat it. with his mana barely still there, he thought of looking at the dragon closely. Every time it brags he laugh proudly. Roki stare at him until 2 hours pass, he could not find anything. Even when he is a battle freak he wouldn’t want to fight someone without a plan. His mana was already full but his mind was still stuck. He could not thought of any breakthrough to defeat this dragon. But suddenly he spotted something, a scar right below its left eye. a scar that’s hard to notice due to its scale covering it up.

A chance for him to succeed in killing it, a chance for him to defeat the impossible. But something was still bothers him, what attack could make this monster bleed. Looking at his health bar not even 1 percent has fall since all the attack he has done. He could not figure it out any other safe way. yes a safe way there was no safe way but there is still a suicidal way. an all out attack, a one hit attack that could either be life or death.

“huh~ I hate doing that attack im almost dead fighting that one thousand hand Buddha, sheesh”

Facing the dragon while still in stealth mode, he then unleash his prized possession. LongEr’s Bronze Jian Sword. A sword made partly with the scale from a dragon itself. But oblivious to this fact Roki could have fought with a safe way hehe.

As hold the sword at one hand, power surge throughout his body. the feeling of holding an ancient sword was indeed a feeling none could felt at this time. Roki took a deep breath and exhale. His ending it, while in stealth mode he quickly buff himself and start to utilizes sword strike. Aura envelops the ancient sword, as he closed his eyes concentrating. Mana was accumulated within the sword, unraveling great strength as the aura thickens and form a large sword aura with the Roki’s sword as its base.

Usually stealth would be gone if activating another skill but for Roki whose stealth has reach master class it allow him to utilizes any spell or skill without unraveling the stealth mode. While the sword aura grew in size so does the wariness of the dragon.

The dragon looks around feeling something was amiss, he could not shake off this feeling that death will surely arrive within this few moments. Then the dragon heard a voice.

‘hey you oversized lizard, come and lets battle it out one of us will surely die today’

The dragon look at the source of the voice, he was baffled seeing the puny human still alive after his horn attack and moreover within his hand was a sword aura which are bigger than him in 4 to 5 times in size. The dragon started to worried but then it refute of its own feeling. It once again act arrogantly;

‘FOR A PUNY HUMAN YOU ARE LUCKY TO SURVIVE MY ATTACK BUT TO FACE ME AGAIN WOULD BE STUPID OF YOU NOW COME AS I WIPE YOUR EXISTENT OUT OFF THIS PLANET’

Mock the dragon joyfully as soon as it was certain that Roki was not alive anymore. But within the sea of redness a voice came out.

It was Roki, he suddenly emerge unscathed out of the sea of flames. Located above the head of the dragon. He concentrate on to the scar of the dragon. Holding the huge sword aura, he shouted his skill with the full intention of killing it;

‘Sword Strike variation; Heaven’s Decree!’

A vertical slash going straight to the scar, but not without retaliation from the dragon. The dragon quickly counter with an upper horn attack. but it was a failure. The sword aura cut the horn like it was butter. The dragon was shocked seeing how easily its scale being pierce and mutter;

‘THIS SENSATION!!! ITS DRAGON’S SCALE’

Without stopping from the dragon’s explanation, Roki pierce its scar and cut it from top to bottom landing to the ground as he finish his skill. huffing for his breath, his sword aura start to disintegrate with dispersing into the air leaving only the original Jian sword. His mana and stamina were all depleted into zero while health point was left with one. This was the price for him to use such skill. a double edge attack.

‘DAMN YOU HUMAN!!............’

The roar of the dragon dies down as it went limp and drop to the ground. As it dies, tons of loot drop after its death leaving heaps of equipment that was outstanding beyond belief and he was also bombarded by the notification of him leveling up, it seems he has level up to level 22 in just blink of an eye. As Roki walks toward to loot the reward. The ground start shake yet again, then cracks started to appear on the ground.

The ground start to crumble and caving in, one thing for sure Roki could not do anything he could not run let alone hide with his stamina zero he was immobile. As mountains of gold disappearing dropping down the crack. A loud rumble resound and the ground crumbles, everything starts to drop, the gold, the loots, the dragon corpse and even Roki. it was a free fall.

While he was falling an orb glistening like the brightest gem you could ever find was falling beside him. He couldn’t help it and take it as a souvenir. As the other things he wasn’t able to get it on time as he then suddenly drop into water.

The river current was harsh and Roki quickly fainted within the game. gold and treasures were swept by the roaring current of the river that was beneath the treasure room.

After a few hours, he regains his consciousness and woke up near the river bed.

‘ugh my head where am i?’

As he slowly opens his eye, the scene in front of him was mesmerizing, crystals of every shape and sizes can be found a few meters in front of him and at the center of a wall of crystals he spotted an old man within the crystals.

Then a voice resound through his mind;

“ugh can you quiet down, head is spinning right now”

Roki try to stand up, forcing his hand and legs to standing up. His body wobbles as try to balance himself. Dragging his tired body to the encased body. he then watches the body within the crystals.

It was humanoid that resembles human except for its two horns protruding out of his head and its pale white skin. Other than that beside the pointy ears, white old hair and razor sharp nails there was none out of the ordinary.

“like you have saw young one, I am a demon or to be more accurately I am the previous Dark Emperor that has govern the darkness of this world keeping it in balance with the light. I am Valderath el Zaran”

“eh? What do you mean ok young one aren’t you surprised and amaze by the sight of a Dark Emperor such as i”

‘old man I thought you are in danger but looking at you right now you are quite fine so I think I should go’

Roki start to turn away and finding a way out but;

Roki only nod and beside the encased crystal.

“long ago during the time I once rule as the Dark Emperor, people worship me and fear me as I with my unlimited hold down even the strongest opponent. This cause conflict within my empire, some start to plan a coup against me with the intention of throwing me out their own emperor that once watch over them against any enemies. I thought it would only be portion of them that do not like me but to my demise. Every one on the council and the elders plotted against me. I was enraged and felt betray by the people I have vow to protect.

After a long battle between me and the demon empire that last until a year they suddenly managed to defeat me. They cannot kill me but only managed to seal me within this crystals that was imbued by curses, mantras, enchants and spells that block me from releasing myself.”

‘I see so now you want me to released you to exact revenge?’

“I wish I can young one I wish I can but my time is reaching its end. Rather than revenge I would like to help my people my people who has now scattered throughout the world. after ten thousand years I have finally meet you young one”

‘me?’

“yes you, you are the one who will inherit my will and vigor please and accept this old man dying wish and help save the children of the demon empire!”

‘you know its already ten thousand years right I don’t think it exist anymore’

“no you are wrong, I have felt the new emperor power and by my suspicion a war is coming, please received my dying wish and halt the emperor misleaded ways”

“Currently he is still collecting his power but without a doubt he would be powerful not as powerful as me of course ho ho”

Roki choose yes and a surge of power went through him. He felt pain all over the body as his body is modifying into those of an Ancient Arc Demon. Sound of pain and bone cracking apart resound through the deep cave. After an hour or so, his metamorphosis has finish.

Currently a single horn was protruding at the center of his head it was not long only a bud of it. his skin was pale white and his eye was dye in deep crimson red. His ears are pointy like those of an elf.

‘ugh that was harsh hey cant I change back to my real face?’

“oh you don’t like the appearance? Try the skill metamorphosis”

Roki check his skill slot and notice a few new skills and one of them was metamorphosis, he immediately used;

‘metamorphosis’

His appearance change back to those of his own human self, but while changing back he notice that he felt severely weaken.

“it doesn’t matter if you like or not but please help the children of the empire”

‘I see ok then’

“young one within this world my power has been divided as they seal me within here go regain those strength back and claim the throne of the dark emperor as your own!”

He opens up his eye widely and saw the thing that block the shadow. Holding a sword to his neck the shadow was large definitely large. The lower part was of a light brown horse and the upper part was an armor body with its chest protruding quite heavenly. Opening the helmet there he saw a beauty. a blonde beauty with the face that resembles Charlize Ther#n her ears resembles those of a horse. It was none other than a race that was oftenly heard in Greek legends.
