《YOLO?》Chapter 3

Day 1 again....
I wake up and find myself in a dark room. There are at least 10 other people in here and they are sleeping. I find a collar on my neck which puzzled me. I peer through the window and see that the sun just began to rise over the mountains in the distance.
Then suddenly a man bursts into the room.
"Alright get up ya filthy maggots."-Man
Everyone starts to get up slowly and follow the man outside. We go into what looks like a small shabby looking cafeteria and we receive half a loaf of hard bread. Curious I chew on the bread and find that it is hard as a rock and tastes bland as fuck.
"What the fuck is this shit?"-Me
"The fuck you say ya little slave shit?"-Man
The man punches me into the ground and kicks me in the ribs a couple times, and it hurts like a bitch.
I come the realization that I'm a slave... That fucking god turned me into the slave! I am filled with dread and sincerely hope that my owner isn't into guys. I hope that I am still an anal virgin in this body.
After the Man leaves another slave comes up to me he looks about 20 to 25 years old, has a beard about 5 foot 9 inches and is about 140 lbs and looked pretty thin.
"Hey are you okay Regis?"-Slave 1
"Yeah, I'm fine thanks."-Me
"That was pretty stupid of you to say that." - Slave 1
I just nodded and stayed silent while chewing on the bread. We went outside into the courtyard and left through the gates and went to get water from the well. When it was my turn to get water from the bucket I saw my reflection. I looked to be about 5 to 7 years old with black hair and a pretty cute little kid face if you ask me. As i look at my reflection I see that heterochromia, one eye was black and the other was a dark purple. I thought it was pretty cool and while i was admiring myself the guy behind me shoved me and told me to hurry up. Not wanting to cause any trouble i quickly drank some water and washed my face and left.

We walk a few minutes out of the house and come into a field about the size of 3 football fields. I find out that it is planting season and that we have to till the soil and plant the seeds.
There are 3 women 2 children and 6 men that are quite skinny and dirty and are working in the fields along with me and they all have collars on their necks like dogs. I find out that Slave 1's name is Jack and that we had some sort of friendship going on because i reminded him of his little brother that got sold into slavery with him but died because of disease.
5 hours into the day and no rest. I am seriously tired to even think by hands and back are sooo sore and I'm starving. I was sweating bullets because it had to be about 100 degrees farenheit outside. I nearly passed out but luckily we got a water break for about 5 minutes which wasn't hardly enough. I work for the rest of the day and when the sun started setting we were called back in.
We were given a small bowl of stew that smelled heavenly because i was famished and half a loaf of bread. It took my less than 5 minutes to swallow it all down and I was still hungry. While I was sitting around doing nothing I overheard the chef and Man talking.
"Have you heard, we recently lost the battle against the Democrats in the Rockfill Valley." -Man
"Ya, I also heard that the king is forcing all of 'em nobles to give up some of their slaves for the war." -Chef
"Sigh... this war has been going on for 4 years because our stupid prince just had to go and wave his puny dick around and get the Democrat princess pregnant." -Man

Suddenly a man comes through the entrance of our dining room.
The first thing i think of is J*bba the Hut. I mean this fatass is hella disgusting, I swear to M*rgan fucking Fr*eman.
"I your master Jabba of the Hut Valley have been asked by his royal Majesty King of the Republicans Washington the 3rd to send men into battle for our glorious kingdom. Jack, Corn, Philemon, Regis and Tranny, you shall set off at first light tomorrow and go the the city of Red Sox to assist in this war." - Jabba
He leaves after this anouncement and we all head back into our slave house. The 4 other guys all gather including me and we say our goodbyes to our fellow slaves as we are going to leave tomorrow and we go to sleep.

Madness Led by the Hands
‘Great, no… splendid. It was for naught.’ ‘Naught? Depends. If your desire is to send an army of killers our family’s way, yes indeed. If it’s plain survival you seek, then no.’ ‘They don’t coexist?’ ‘What… don’t tell me you’re still all groggy from the fall. Perhaps in novels, but real life is much tougher–––many more times a drag than anyone can possibly imagine. If dusty history is not a reliable teacher for you, then the pandemic surely took that place. At least that one has the advantage you needn’t be literate to savvy how reality always trumps imagination.’ ‘Whatever you say, whatever you say. So… what now?’ ‘Now? Isn’t it obvious? Now we shall survive. And live a good life.’ ‘Ohh… pretty much everything here has something against this little weird wish of ours. Might you consider?’ ‘Then pretty much everything here is a goner.’ ‘Hm, I don’t like the sound of that. Too much trouble, you see. I’d prefer laying low somewhere safe.’ ‘…nobody told you it’s mutually exclusive, no–––or did you forget about that too?’ ‘Fine, then I wish my future enemies all the best.’ ‘They are undeserving of your pity.’ ‘Of course not. That unlucky bunch won’t ever comprehend the reason behind their demise. Just let me smoke in peace and offer my condolence in advance.’ ‘Idem, let me study alchemy, unobstructed by all, if possible. This also includes you. By the way, are you sure you smoke to offer condolences? It seems like an excuse to me.’ ‘I-it is none. Plain truth, you see?’ ‘Seriously, why did I even ask...?’
