《Demonology For Morons》Making Blood Angels

Chapter 6
Alright let’s think. A lot of angry idiots vs one Hero Imp, I have nothing to fear. They should fear me! I’m the one who killed master and freed us, where is there gratitude! The imps start backing away sensing I’m getting angry except for one who walks forward that’s slightly larger than the rest. He lifts his pick up a bit higher and gets ready to charge me so I get ready to defend myself, without any weapons since I lost my pick in the rock fall and I gave masters stick back to his corpse. Why did I do that again?
The large idiot rushes at me and then trips and falls over his pick….
Dumbass just because you’re large for an imp doesn’t mean you’re not still an imp. Those things are still bigger than us…
Well taking advantage of the situation I run up to the idiot while he tries to get up and start stomping on him with my thin not particularly strong imp legs. However it’s enough to get the job done as he gets knocked back down. Now I pick my leg back up and proceed to stomp on his head. Over and over again. To be honest I’m a little glad I’m a bit weak because he doesn’t get knocked out immediately and instead starts crying out in pain. I would be worried that its taking a bit long but half of the idiots who were waiting started running away while the rest are just standing there shaking, not doing anything, and letting me stomp there friend to death. For some reason I must find this whole thing hilarious because from the moment he started crying out I’ve been laughing the whole time.
“HAHAHA” STOMP “HAHAHAHAHAHA” STOMP
Eventually he stops crying and I stop laughing so I do the only thing I can think to do and pick up the pickaxe he tripped over and with a great big grin on my face, I bring it down on his head and giggle as it crushes it sending blood and brain everywhere. Then I turn to the rest of the idiots who are standing with wide scared eyes, shaking like they were the ones getting beaten. I let them take a good look at me and then I speak for the first time in my demon life in an annoying voice that suits this small and weak species.

Then they all just run screaming as loud as they can. As if whether they scream or not makes a difference in what happens next.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Though it is really funny watching so called demons running like they saw a monster. Well I am a Hero so it’s probably okay that they ran from me. Survival instincts and all that. After all Heroes are known for killing demons. Though what about Demon Heroes? OH right the summoning circle! I was having so much fun I almost forgot. I move back along the cave to where there’s a circle with some scribbles in it and wonder why Master thought I was gonna mess this up before when someone already scribbled a bunch inside it. Well it looks like he drew it in blood so if I cover it up in more blood then it should be good enough right?
I wonder where I’ll get enough blood for that. Then I realize I’m being almost as dumb as the idiots, I’m covered in the stuff I just need to go and roll around on top of it and let the blood smear off of me.
I start rolling on top of it but that get pretty boring pretty quickly, so I get the idea to start making little imp sized blood angels all over the circle. It’s actually pretty fun so I start giggling while I do it.
Though that gets boring too so I decided that’s good enough and leave my vanquished foe. Now the summoning circle will never bother any of my brothers and sisters in the darkness again! My Heroic duty finally fulfilled I make my way towards the cave exit so that I may move on to greater adventures and greater glory!

From Nothing
Rejoice Humanity! You have been invited to join the Galactic Hegemon. It is time for our Centenary Caste Competition. The best 1% of humanity will be given a 1 cycle tutorial before the 5 cycle contest. Be brave, be bold, but most of all, be strong and earn your place and privileges. Burning red letters hung large in the vision of everyone on earth that knew a written language. At the same moment that smartest, fastest, and strongest people on the planet disappeared with nothing to mark their passing. After a cycle of training and growth they would compete to earn their place in their suddenly expanded galaxy. This is not their story. Joe did his best to take care of his parents house and stay healthy. He was the only one of the four family members not chosen. The societal upheaval made by the announcement made the inflation and purges of the 20's seem pleasant by comparison but he keeps his head down and survives. Once the next message arrives 11 months later about the contest starting, even that society broke down into city states around large population centers. Joe tightened his belt and looked forward to the day that his family returned. Two years later burning red letters once again filled his vision. Humanity, the last of your competitors have been eliminated. Your determined caste level is 13 of 13. As such your planet has been claimed and will be repurposed for ideal resource production. Rifts will be seeded across the planet to increase resources and mana density. Your orbit will be corrected to ideal Hegemon standard. Do not interfere with any Hegemon activity, as the bottom caste you have no rights. Rejoice that all castes receive at least the basic Hegemon Growth System. Better luck next century. Joe didn't comprehend any of it. His family was dead. Everything he cared about was gone.
