Chapter 15|| Contract

"Contract what contract."

Confused by Ryylas statement he slowly began to understand. His wife must have signed some type of contract, that's what was keeping her here.

"Kukuku do you wish to know? aren't you even the least bit curious as to how you're not dead, and that the region knights aren't around."

Seeing Ryylas smiling face he felt more and more disdain towards her, but it clicked in his mind. Why hasn't he been killed? and the region knights he didn't sense them at all what was going on? His wife was fine and so was his son. Now even more confused than before he just looked at Ryyla dumbstruck.

"Well, are you interested, if not then you may leave if you wish."

"No Kai don't leave this place ."

Tara shouted out frantically.

Listening to his wife's panicked tone he walked over and sat down on the bed.

"Of course I won't leave you."

"No, it's not that, if you left this building you might die."

"WHAT"

Kai looked back and forth between his wife and Ryyla before settling on Ryyla with a nasty look.

"Ah pooh, Tara you shouldn't have told him it would have been hilarious if he tried to leave."

"What, what would have happened to me Tara? I don't understand what's going on."

"Kai, I can't really explain it well it would be better if Ryyla explains the situation."

Kai thinking about the situation gently looks down at Sen and starts to stroke his head. When suddenly he realizes Sen's eyes, they've been uncovered this whole time. He's been so confused that he completely forgot about them he quickly shouts.

"Tara, Sen's eyes."

Tara shakes her head.

"Ryyla already knows ."

"You're a bit late ain't ya, hahaha where did you find this guy under a rock."

Kai suddenly reddens with embarrassment and anger.

"Just what the hell is going on? I thought I was dead I thought Sen was about to be killed. I wake up chained there's no region knights my chest is healed just what is all this? someone just explain it to me already or I'm about to lose it."

Kai's mind was in shambles everything he thought has just been flipped upside down. His mind was running in every which way trying to figure everything out, he felt really light headed all of a sudden like he might pass out. Until Tara placed her hand on his knee and softly said.

"Kai just listen, Ryyla, will you please explain everything in detail ."

Listening to his wife's angelic voice his lightheadedness gradually faded. He looked on at Ryyla with pure confusion, he slowly relaxed his breathing and Ryyla began to speak.

"This is what I know, right after you two left i received a message from my secretary, you already know her the dwarf at the front desk, Naddel. Through my comm she told me that 2 guards had shown her wanted sketches of you two and when they saw the two of you instead of taking you in or asking you some questions they both immediately left.

Now when I heard this I was immediately intre*cough cough* I mean suspicious. So I went straight to the guard captain and asked him what was going on."

"What and he just told you."

Ryylas brows furrowed.

"There's that nasty habit of yours interrupting when a beautiful maiden is trying to tell ya a story."

Kai quickly shut up and looked at the ceiling as if he had been staring at it the whole time.

*Ahem*

"Anyway, since I am the master of the mage guild the guard captain easily made time for me he tol..."

Kai's POV

"Master of the mages guild this arrogant troll of a woman."

Kai once more looked at his wife and she simply nodded to him verifying Ryylas comments.

"...d me that 2 region knights were looking for you and that they were right here in the city. I became even more curi *cough cough* suspicious and went to find you two. That's when I saw something interesting. I easily spotted one of the region knights standing atop a roof and the other was about to remove your head from your shoulders Kai."

Kai's POV

"That must have been when I felt that blood lust on our way out of the city. So there really was someone behind me, but wait, why didn't they attack me then?"

"But before that shorty could kill you I saw something most interesting. The other region knight snatched the first one back and hid. While you two left the male region knight said they had orders not to attack you two whilst inside the city, and the two discussed attacking you when you were a bit further away.

Hearing this, I decided to help you two and so I planned to wait until they attacked you and jump out and save you at the last minute.That way I could have you owe me but who would have thought that your son would have red eyes."

Ryyla began to lick her lips while looking towards Sen. As she did Tara embraced Sen tightly to her bosom while giving a worried look, but Kai he was simply angry, he shouted out.

"If you were there why didn't you help earlier. My family nearly lost their lives while you simply hid like a coward and watched from the sidelines."

Hearing this country bumpkin who was beaten so easily call her, a coward infuriated her.

"Me a coward, you think me saving you was cowardice. What would you know about hardship your family lived didn't it, while mine."

She cut her words short and went silent for a moment.

Kai shocked by Ryyla's outburst, but he couldn't get past that last part. "While mine", so her family was gone what did she mean he quietly apologized.

"Sorry, I shouldn't have called you a coward. You saved my life and my wife and sons I was angry, sorry."

Kai grabbed Tara's hand and squeezed it a bit tight.

Regaining her composure she softly sighed.

*sigh*

"No, it was my fault too I could have prevented your struggle, but something came up during your fight that I simply could not foresee."

"Something came up what was it?"

"That storm that was going on, well did you notice anything strange about it."

Tara and Kai both shake their head's no.

"Well, that storm was by no means a natural one ."

"Not natural, who could have caused it?"

Kai looked at Tara and Tara looked right at Sen, Tara speaks up affirmatively.

"So it was Sen."

Tara saw this so she naturally assumed it was Sen that caused the storm. Which got her rather excited about Sen's prospects, a mage that could use 3 elements there's never been one in all of existence.

Kai looked at his wife like she's crazy.

"What are you talking about Tara how could Sen possibly create a storm."

"But he made lightning strike that region knight while you were unconscious. The storm it had to of been from Sen."

Kai's jaw dropped he couldn't believe it. 3 elements, but then he remembered.

"But Ryyla I thought you said Sen only has 2 elements, light, and wind. What's going on?"

Ryyla looked at Tara and quickly squashed her happiness.

"Sorry Tara, but Sen didn't cause the storm ."

"But... but if not Sen then who did. You said it yourself it wasn't natural, what else could make a storm?"

Ryyla momentarily silent pulled over a chair and sat down in front of the two. She folded her arms and with disdain she murmured.

"Dragon."

Kai jumped to his feet.

"Dragon! you mean a dragon right? they're, they're real, I thought they were myths."

Tara now slacked jawed as well. Ryyla's face distorted and within her eyes a boundless raging fire could be seen. Her pressure encompassed the whole room pushing Kai back onto the bed and with a tempered tone she said.

"Oh, they're real alright but they won't be for long."

Kai and Tara noticing this sudden change felt dragons were a sore subject for Ryyla so Tara quickly tried to defuse her tension.

"So how did Sen use lightning?I know he used it, he even told me it was alright. I'm not crazy, I know I'm not."

Ryyla snapped back to reality and dissipated her pressure making Kai and Tara let out sighs of relief.

"Going back to the storm it was indeed from a dragon and it diverted my attention for only a few seconds, and then that lightning struck out causing me to look back. When I did you were already treating Kai and that region knight was upon you.

After that, I made the region knight disappear I then healed you and took you three here. As to your son being the cause of the lightning, I did indeed feel it from him, that I can confirm to be true but how he's capable of 3 elements I have no clue. For certain though he does have wind, light and lightning but whether or not he spoke to you that's a question I can not answer."

"But you checked him yourself you said he only had wind and light I don't understand."

"I don't get it either I've been doing this a long time and once again your son has shown me a first he truly ceases to excite me. That is why I'm glad he will be my disciple."

"What? you're what?"

Looking at Kai's confused face was starting to really annoy her, so she decided to stop beating around the bush and tell him about the contract.

"The contract your wife signed gave me permission to take Sen as my disciple. So he will live with me and study from me until I am completely satisfied with his merits. At the same time, I will study his everything."

Ryyla once more put on a perverted smile while licking her lips.

Kai jumped up.

"No, he is my son too, you can't take him without my permission as well."

Right as Kai ended his sentence Ryyla turned over her hand and a contract appeared.

"I already have, take a look.".

Kai peered closely at the parchment and as he did a bloody hand print slowly faded in onto the contract.

"What is this ."

Kai looked over at tara.

"Kai I'm sorry I had to you were dying. she wouldn't save you otherwise, I had no choice."

Kai was outraged but what could he do it was a blood contract. He knew very well that blood contracts were thee most binding agreements in the world, and if either party does not fulfill their end of the bargain then the contract would know. It was a type of magic that literally binded your blood and if you didn't follow thru your blood from the contract would kill you. How no one really knew they just knew that a blood contract was absolute.

That's why when most people made a deal that involved a good amount of gold or a high valued trade between merchants a blood contract was always used people would use it because it was a guarantee.

"Well we may have a contract but it doesn't mean we'll leave him here with you alone. I hope you've got plenty of rooms cause it's about to get crowded."

Kai smiled thinking that even if his son had to be a disciple here at least he would always be around his son, and he could bug the crap out of Ryyla until his son was done learning from her.

"Of course you'll stay here, didn't you read the contract. You are to be my assistant until you have fully paid off your debt."

Kai shocked by this.

"Debt, what debt I owe you nothing ."

"Ku Ku Ku Ku Ku what debt, don't you know."

Ryyla immediately forced a big gush of air towards Tara lifting her off her feet and pulling her forward. With a flick of Ryylas hand, Tara turned in front of Kai and her wrist was pushed into his sight clearly showing the bracelet.

Kai's POV

"The bracelet how did she find out?"

"Kukuku now do you realize what debt and, by the way, this bracelet is 4,000 gold so you'll be working for me for a very very long time haha haha haha."

Ryyla couldn't help but release a long wild laugh and as she did Kai's shoulders slumped down and he immediately sunk into depression, but then someone spoke up.

"No one's asked me what I think. Who's to say if you're even worthy to be my master."

Silence filled the room and Ryyla and Kai looked at Sen dumbstruck, meanwhile Tara just sat there and with a huge smile said.

"Told ya."
