Chapter 14|| The Storm is Over
*BOOOOOMM!!!*
Lightning struck!!
Attracted to the metallic sword the lightning instantly arched down striking it. Completely engulfing Luke causing it to set his armor aglow bright red before exiting thru his feet. he falls to the ground and only a low hissing sound comes from his skin.
As Tara looks on in horror her nose catches the smell of burnt flesh and she resists the urge to puke. She looks at Sen and his eyes have stopped glowing he's fallen asleep peacefully.
Tara's POV
"How did he use lightning and he spoke I know I heard it I'm not crazy, I'm not."
As tara sit's there in a daze she remembers her husband and immediately gets worried she tries to climb to her feet but falls over her fear has restricted her. Trembling she slowly manages to stand and she wobbly rushes to Kai after walking a good 50 feet she finds him unconscious pinned to a tree she yells out.
"No, Kai you can't be, oh god what do I do."
She looks at Sen hoping that maybe he can somehow help.
"Sen, Sen, please help mommy please help."
Crying more intensely she sets Sen down on the ground and tries to pull the blade out but as she barely touches the hilt Kai howls in pain.
"ARRR!!"
She quickly let's go, but she knows if she doesn't get the sword out of kais chest then he will die anyway so she comes to a decision.
"Kai please don't die."
She grabs the hilt quickly and as she does kai continues to howl out fiercely in pain, but Tara grits her teeth and pulls with all her might flinging the sword out of kai and behind her where it makes a small thump noise as it hits the dirt.
Kais body falls over and Tara tries to catch him, but they both fall to the ground. With Kai on top of Tara, she rolls him over and starts ripping her dress and putting as much as she can over his wound, but it's simply not enough. It continues to bleed through soaking her hands dyeing them a dark red and a large puddle is quickly forming underneath Kai. As Tara continues with her best effort to at least stop the bleeding it's just not working.
Tara now panicked is crying over Kais face.
"Please Kai you can't die, your mine remember and I'm yours, we have to go to Cordel together we have to protect Sen remember."
As her tears streak down on Kais face he slowly opens his eyes.
"Tara is Sen."
"He's fine were fine, kai your hurt."
Kai puts on a small smile and lets out a tiny laugh.
"Haha, it's fine it doesn't even hurt anymore."
As he finishes his words he coughs up a mouthful of blood.
Kai no."
Just as he's starting to shut his eyes they immediately shoot back open and in a loud voice he shouts.

"NOOO!!"
Tara seeing this is confused, but she turns around and there he is, Luke is standing over Sen with bloodshot eyes and his sword raised high. His face entirely blackened and his body emitting a white smoke as well as a stench so foul rat's may avoid it, he yells out.
"It's my win."
As he swings his sword towards little Sen it's flying at an astonishing speed but before it can strike his head it's stopped. Luke looks to see who's stopped him and to his astonishment floating in the sky above him is a small green glowing hole with a single slender arm firmly grasping his wrist.
"What the fu."
But before he can finish his sentence the faintly glowing green hole expands and a beautiful woman with long silver hair and perfect sapphire blue eyes steps out of it. Tara seeing this recognizes her immediately.
"RYYLA!!"
"The one the only hope I'm not late ."
Luke seeing this woman come from nowhere was beyond confused but what he didn't understand was that even though he tried to free his arm he absolutely could not budge it. He couldn't even feel this woman's rank and in a panicked tone he shouted.
"Release me I am a Region Knight."
Ryyla just ignored him and hung on to him not letting him move away from her in the slightest. Luke angered by this dropped his sword and caught it with his other hand and immediately thrust towards Ryylas stomach, but before the blade reached her it was stopped by a wall of wind. She looked deep into Luke's eyes and with a sinister smile said.
"GO AWAY!!"
She twisted her body into a spin easily lifting luke from the ground and threw him high into the air, but before he reached his maximum velocity Ryyla opened a portal in front of him.
"Disappear."
She quickly closed it and he was gone.Tara witnessing this was shell shocked she somehow managed to regain her composure.
"Ryyla please save my husband."
Ryyla quickly retorted.
"No."
Tara was once more shocked, she begged.
"Please please, why won't you save him, please."
"Under one condition."
"Anything please just save him."
"Your son give him to me."
Tara shaking couldn't answer her words would not form she loved her son with absolute, but she also loved her husband as well she was frozen she couldn't even open her mouth.
"And when I say give him to me I mean I want him as my disciple."
"What."
"Oh, is that still not an agreeable deal, boy you country folk sure are greedy. let's see let's see ."
"No I mean yes I agree I agree now, please."
"Oh, but what about your husband will he agree?"
"Yes yes now please ."
"Good then sign this blood contract ."
Ryyla turned over her hand and a piece of parchment as well as a pen came out and fell in front of tara.
Seeing this she quickly signed the contract and as she finished Ryyla pricked her finger and a drop of Taras blood dripped down on the page.

"Now what?"
"Your husband needs to sign as well."
Tara was dumbfounded, but she regained her thoughts and quickly grabbed Kais blood-covered hand. She picked it up and slapped it on the contract the contract soaked up the blood and glowed a dark black before disappearing into smoke.
"Good, good."
Ryyla licking her lips was now very excited.
"Now please my husband."
Ryyla nodded her head and pointed her slender hand at Kai and a large violet blue light encompassed his body entirely.Kai's body immediately shook in pain as broken bones mended torn tendons and muscles regrew and nerves and tissue regenerated and reconnected. It was a terrible pain and you could see it on his face after a minute or so his body was completely healed.
"Why's he still unconscious."
Tara panicked.
"Relax, relax, he's simply exhausted now come we best go ."
Ryyla flipped her hand once more and another green light the size of a marble shined in front of her, but it soon expanded to the size of a large cart and with another flick of her wrist she lifted Sens body up in the air and gently placed him in Tara's hands. With another gush of wind this time much stronger, she lifted Kai and Tara and pulled them into the portal where it soon dissipated and like that they were gone.
As kai woke up he found himself lying on a bed in a small room with no windows. He sat up and felt his chest there was no pain but as he rubbed himself he noticed that his hand was chained to his foot he quickly got worried.
"Tara, Tara where are you ."
Kai's POV
"Not good not good, did they take Tara did they kill Sen."
As these thoughts raced thru his head panic started to set in and once again he shouted out.
"TARA, TARA!!"
As he continued to shout out he finally heard laughing.
"Ha ha hahaha."
"Who is it who's there."
As the door to the room opened Ryyla walked in with big strides followed by Tara with Sen in her arms.
"We got you good hahaha you really thought something bad happened look at his face that's hilarious hahaha."
Kai seeing his wife and son safe, quickly relaxed but hearing Ryylas laugh he felt embarrassed and angry because once again this girl has made a fool out of him he shouted out.
"These chains take them off."
Ryyla slowly takes off the chains while Kai gives her a menacing look.
Tara rushed up to him and hugged him tightly squashing little Sen a bit.
"Kai I was so scared I thought you died I thought Sen was going to die."
Tara started crying into Kais chest he slowly rubbed her head. He was scared as well he had never been so close to death before, but he was also a bit mad. He was mad that he couldn't even protect his family he was mad that he was beaten so easily but most of all he was mad at himself. It was his fault those region knights came after them and he knew it, and because of him his wife and child almost died several times. Kai's stomach twisted in knots and his heart echoed with grief he whispered.
" My fault, it's all my fault."
Tara looked up at him and saw his twisted expression she pinched the side of his stomach really hard making him grimace a little.
"What did you do that for."
"It's not your fault don't say that kai, please."
And as kai looked at his wife's teary eyed snot covered face he couldn't help but let out a small chuckle.
Tara angry that her husband started laughing pinched him again a little harder this time.
"Ow ow ow why are you pinching me again."
"Because you're laughing about the situation."
"I'm not I swear."
Then why were you ."
Kai pondered a minute not sure if he should tell his wife about her snot covered face, but he looked at her face once more and he just couldn't help it.
"BW haha haha it's your face you have snot everywhere."
"What."
Tara now realizing it herself quickly tried to wipe it away with her sleeve, but it simply dragged more out, seeing this she began to laugh as well.
"Ha ha hahaha."
Ryyla looking on at this strange couple tried to say something under her breath, but it was loud enough to hear anyway.
"Disgusting
Ryyla's POV
"What the hell is wrong with these people they were just upset and now they're laughing at boogers maybe I don't need a disciple, uh but it's the only way ill be able to study him. Those facts those delicious facts I can't wait."
Tara and Kai seeing Ryyla start to drool as she looks on at Sen, they both think.
"Disgusting."
Snapping back to reality kai remembers he was in chains, he glances with snake eyes towards Ryyla.
"Why did you have me in chains? are we safe here or are you turning us in?"
Before Ryyla could speak up Tara interrupted her.
"I'm sorry Kai I didn't want her to but I, I couldn't stop her ."
Kai now angry.
"So what are you gonna turn me in now."
"Relax you fool I have no Intrest in turning you in and as for the cuffs, well that was just a prank."
Now enraged but knowing he couldn't beat her decided it be better to leave.
"A prank, you think this is funny, come on tara were leaving.
Kai got up and headed straight for the door and ryyla didn't try to stop him but as he got to the door he noticed Tara still on the bed, she wasn't moving."
"Tara what are you doing come on let's go."
Tara didn't say anything, she only looked sheepishly at Ryyla. Kai noticing his wife and ryyla exchanging glances.
"What's going on what have you done to my wife."
"Kukuku done, I've done nothing to her."
"Then why won't she come."
"Oh that, she simply wishes to fulfill her end of the contract."
Kais ears perked up and his eyes opened wide.
"Contract, what contract."
