《Fighting for the Lord of Earth》Chapter 2 - World Heart

The robed figure turned out to be incredibly smart. He was given several language books including an English dictionary, references, guides and an ‘English for Idiots’ book which luckily an intern journalist had thought to bring. Within a couple hours he was able to talk sufficiently enough for an opening dialogue.
A few of the world leader aides were conversing with him about many things. Turns out him and the space ships were from a kingdom a few months of travel time away. The kingdom as it turned out spanned numerous universes and hundreds of planets. After some point in time, the kingdom used magic to expand its domain into space; they called it the Black Sky.
Magic.
The aides were split in thinking that there was actually magic and that this guy just didn’t know how his own ships operated or that there was a translation problem. After all, magic or miracles are just the terms used when someone cannot comprehend the science behind it.
It seemed that his robe was imbued with magic and the floating fish were something akin to water spirits. He was incredibly happy when he found references to mages and smiled while introducing himself. “Leete, Mage.” He pronounced his name slowly and broken up as if speaking to a child. “Lee-et.”
Either way, after a little more time in deep conversation the other 2 came back down from the ship.
The warrior spoke with Leete first, asking him questions in their own language while Leete smiled and replied. It was difficult to tell if the warrior was happy or not.
Finally the warrior turned to the US president and spoke directly to him. Leete did his best to translate.
“Prince StoneTooth, greets, world king. Gratefulness, meeting above, world heart.”
Cameras flashed spectacularly, drawing the prince’s eyes. Leete quickly spoke to the prince, probably telling him that the cameras were not a weapon but a device for copying the image in front of it. Leete pulled out a picture printed out for him earlier.

The first time Leete saw the flash of the cameras he too had been alarmed. With a frightened flick of his wrist he had somehow caused cameras to explode. Even after he saw the picture of himself he had still been extremely worried and burned it. Only after dozens of pictures of other people and creatures and things did he come to realize it wasn’t a threat.
The US president tried to correct him. “I’m not the leader of our world, only a part of it.”
That upset both Leete and Prince StoneTooth. “Where King?”
“There are no kings. Earth is divided up into many different governments with different leaders.”
That clearly didn’t sit well with them. You could see the Prince’s jaw visibly tighten.
Quickly Leete carried on. “Still, gratefulness, meeting above, world heart.” He still had the Idiots guide to English opened in his hand, but he was getting better in his speech, only occasionally conferring with the president’s aide for pronunciation advice.
The reporters behind the world leaders were chatting noisily about the world heart bit Leete mentioned.
“What is this world heart?”
Leete was stunned momentarily with his jaw hanging open. He hastily flipped through some pages of the book trying to find the words he needed. “World Heart. Leaders, hand, on world. Source, of, power!”
The world leaders each listened to ear pieces for translations, but then caution and worry became evident across their faces. Some even showed anger towards the US president and the others that encouraged this location for the meeting.
Leete conferred quietly with his prince, almost arguing with him.
Prince StoneTooth drew his sword.
Quickly secret service from multiple nations drew their guns and tried to protect their charges.
The Prince however took no note of the guns, maybe as it was a piece of technology he had never seen before. He walked with confidence a little closer, causing one of the secret service to call out in warning.

But he simply cut his hand on the sword, wiping his blood along the blade before holding it perpendicular to the ground and letting go.
The sword defied all logic as it remained in place. Its tip floating a foot above the ground.
Camera shutters clicked rapidly and reporters spoke hastily into microphones as a yellow energy wave came out of the ground, wrapping gently around the sword and then into Prince StoneTooth.
He took a deep breath when the energy first touched him, but then sighed as it sank into him. Everyone watching waited with bated breath.
After only a few moments the energy flow stopped and the Prince took hold of his sword again. The air about him different with his weapon in hand.
He spoke to Leete again with determination.
“Prince StoneTooth, says, you leave, world heart, alone. He, uh…, he…” At a loss for words he consulted the books and called a few people that he talked with earlier to help.
One of them, a young African translator spoke to the assembled world leaders in English, “I think, he’s trying to say, that the Prince has taken control of the planet. Or married it.”

Celestial [A Progression Fantasy LitRPG]
Warning!Profanity, unconventional relationships, drug use, descriptive gore and intimacy. Celestial is a slow-paced and action-packed progression fantasy with elements from the LitRPG genre. The story focuses on the protagonist’s personal growth, violence, sex, exploration and adventure. Follow Zelaria as she embarks on her journey of exploration and adventure, seeking ever greater heights of power. With an affinity for the elusive and mysterious Arcane and a preference for the thrill of close combat she nonetheless chooses to walk the path of a mage. A mage may still use weapons but a warrior rarely casts spells as far as she knows. It’s a logical path for her even if others may call it insanity. What do they know? Most people who choose to specialize in wielding mana tend to pick a mage class aligned with their element. Why become a standard mage, average at everything, when you can use your affinity for fire to become a fire mage and cause destruction with ease? The only problem for Zelaria is that no one seems to know how to get a mage class aligned with the arcane. Approaching 17 years of age she’s still at level 0 while her peers have long left her behind, their classes selected at the age of 15 when they became available. Luck is on her side though as she manages to snag employment as a hauler with a party heading on an expedition to a dungeon abandoned centuries ago. They’re looking for riches and danger while she’s still looking for an answer, one she finds at their destination even if not in the way she expected. Nothing is going to stop her from enjoying all that the world has to offer, not the wish of her parents or even her death. I'll be aiming to upload 5 chapters in bulk every week.
