《Fighting for the Lord of Earth》Chapter 1 - Alien Visitation

It would really suck if earth was attacked by aliens, but it would be even worse if the whole planet was conquered.
Ships from outer space were spotted entering the Sol system from deep-space telescopes, but were mis-identified as a cluster of meteors.
After a few weeks they couldn’t be seen as Jupiter moved in front of them. When Jupiter finally moved out of the way the deep-space telescopes took a picture. These meteors were clearly artificial and each one looked identical.
As they finally entered within the orbit of sol’s planets, world leaders were panicking. When they passed Saturn’s belt, civilians started to spot the ships and the media blackout could no longer be contained.
Earth Celebrated. Life outside of Earth was confirmed.
Earth Panicked. That life was coming to Earth with a fleet with unknown intentions. Would they just be travelers or would they be violent?
Turns out it was the later.
Their ships parked in orbit around the planet and one vessel was allowed to land.
Governments around the world argued over where it should land. Most of the governments wanted the ship to land in their own territory, but more than a few wanted the ship to land as far away from population centers as possible.
In order to stop the incessant arguing which wasted time and forced the ship to wait, it was finally agreed upon that the ship would land in Africa. Both due to the significance as the cradle of life, but also as a deterrent to show that there were few resources an invading species would want.
The world watched with bated breath as the behemoth of a ship touched down on Earth.
Physicists around the world were watching the ridiculousness of the ship as it seemed to ignore all rules of reality. Despite its size it moved nimbly. Despite its size it moved silently. Despite its size it was impossible to see any external engines.

Mouths of Military men around the world watered at the technology on board that ship. Instantly there were people thinking of killing everyone on board, stealing the ship and boarding the others in space to take them.
After all, they couldn’t see any external weapons. However, everyone stayed there hand since they couldn’t see any engines either yet it still moved. What if they had weapons but just couldn’t see it.
World leaders traveled at great speed to get to the meeting in Africa. Somehow the various news organizations got there first. Even a lowly American web blogger managed to beat the president of the US there.
What kind of alien race would they see? What kind of survival gear would they have on? What did they want?
Millions of questions were being asked in the minds of billions of people. For a single afternoon the earth froze. Eyes on televisions and computer screens. Factories and machines going silent.
The ship was of a beautiful design. Its hull appeared to be made from a single piece of solid metal.
A few minutes after the ship landed the sword-like front split into multiple sections, opening into a large area with thousands of people in dangerous looking armor. Of all the aliens that the world leaders could see, only 3 of them didn’t have weapons.
These 3 walked down the ramp off the ship.
The figure on the far left was wearing a deep blue robe that made you think of a clean lake. Translucent, light blue glowing fish floated through the air around his hips and waist. He gave off a mystical impression.
On the far right, stood a figure shrouded in what looked like a strange type of leather. The face and even the figure was hidden so it was difficult to tell if the person was male or female, but the person was skinny. A strange bit of curled wood hung from a latch on his/her waist.

The last person walked with confidence.
His armor was a combination of dark red, gold, white and black. Thick metal seamlessly covered his body and like the ship it looked like one solid piece of metal until it opened up.
His hair was long and flowed down from underneath an open faced helmet. A smirk of a smile was plastered all over his face. A wide thick sword hung at his waist, even angled its tip nearly scrapped the ground as he walked.
All of them looked human.
World leaders, news reporters and security personnel alike sweated underneath the pressure of meeting an alien race as well as the heat of an African summer. The 3 standing in front of them appeared calm and composed as if the heat wasn’t there.
“Greetings-“ The United States president attempted to start welcome the visitors but the warrior like leader raised his hand to stop him.
“gavrecktlattor” he spoke in some unknown language to the man with the floating fish. He answered back similarly before the two of them exchanged the look of what to do.
The world leaders all came to the realization that no one here would be able to communicate amongst each other. The US president was a little red in the face from embarrassment, not having previously thought of that possibility.
The alien leader spoke more with the robed figure before turning around with the third person and returning to their ship.
“Wait! Where are you going?” One of the many world leaders called out to the retreating figure.
“Doooo!” their attention was brought back to the man with the floating fish, who stood right in front of them, when he made a comical face while holding up his hand in greeting.
“Do!” he repeated.
The US President still wanted to be the first to make contact so he held out his hand. “Do!” he mimicked stupidly. Camera shutters rapidly firing could be heard from behind, the news journalists making sure to capture that moment for all of history.
The President’s red face.

Protagonist: The Whims of Gods
Book one now also on Amazon! After quitting her job as a therapist and grabbing some work at a dog shelter, Tess's life became pretty slow. A tad boring, even. It thus came as no small surprise when she was chosen by a god. Thrust into a new world where magic, monsters, and character levels are suddenly a reality, Tess will quickly find that just surviving can be a challenge. It doesn't help that dark forces are stirring, she's woefully underpowered, and that spiders keep trying to claw her face off. One thing's for certain, though: The possibilities are endless. Will she end up wrestling a dragon? Becoming an arch-mage? Opening a quaint, bookstore, coffee shop, and wine bar for elves? The choice is hers... As long as she can live long enough to make it. Protagonist is a fairly classic LitRPG novel with character levels, classes, stats, settlements, and other LitRPG elements. Unlike a lot of LitRPG stories, while the protagonist has some perks, she doesn't start off overpowered. You can expect to see her struggle as she advances. This novel also takes the opportunity to explore some less frequently seen builds, shying away from any min-maxing. Chapters are about ~2000-3000 words and are released at 8:00am ET every other day.

Sengoku Demon Chronicles
Sengoku-era Japan was already batshit crazy. Now it’s got demons. ~~~ Japan 1541-2. Miho, a young village guy [with a female name], is on the trail of his mysterious lost love when he unwittingly saves the life of Akira, a cynical ashigaru [low-level samurai]. By doing so, he incurs the wrath of a box demon who is way too petty to just let it go. After that, it’s mostly downhill. ~~~ Includes: purple mist demons, portals, Yuki Onna, other demons, warlords, ashigaru, a try-hard mage, an eight-tailed fox and an endless litany of pathological liars. Historically, it’s about as accurate as most Hollywood productions. Hopefully, a little better. ~~~ Note: due to having fewer followers than a no-touch, no-look sex cult, I'm taking a break from this for August/September. Will be back in October to finish off Volume 1 and start off Volume 2.
