《Re:Asura》Chapter 9: Start of a Journey

[Author's Note:Here's the promised chapter!]
At the base of the mountain, a prebuscent boy dressed in tattered white robes crawled out of a small opening at a cave. Brushing the dirt off him, he got out of the cave and observed his surroundings.
Looking at the now barely visible cluster of pagodas and temples, he sighed. He had wanted to bid his friends and mother farewell, but his grand teacher had urged him to escape immediately.
Asura stuck two fingers into his mouth and whistled. "Phhheeeewwwttt!" This was the signal that Asura had taught Sanzu years ago. A moment later, the sounds of fallping and screeching could be heard.
"Caaawwww!" Sanzu landed beside Asura and lowered his head, letting Asura climb onto his back.
Meanwhile....
"Lord Shane, we have spotted a legion, about fifty thousand men strong, marching with the flag of Coran!" Poong's eldest disciple announced at the Peaceful Hall.
All the Elders and their personal disciples who were assembled at the Peaceful Hall, except Elder Moba, were awaiting instructions from Shane.
"Have the disciples been evacuated?" Shane asked Moba's disciple, Lori.
"No, Lord Shane." Lori continued, "Teacher will require more time to complete the spell."
The atmosphere in the Peaceful Hall had grown tense. Each of the people present were already aware that there was a large possibility of them dying during the oncoming battle.
"I see. We must buy enough time for Mora to complete his spell. Elders, I fear that by sunset, most of us who are present will have died. If you want to back out now and flee, I will not blame you." Shane was giving one last chance for them to preserve their lives.
"Humph, who needs to run from that bastard Coran? I will drag down as many of his damned men and lieutenants with me to hell!" Poong stood up, brandishing his wooden staff. After so many years of training, he had already grown weary, having been stuck at the Arch Magus rank for over seventy years. He felt that even if he trained for another hundred years, the chances of him ascending to Grand Magus was extremely low.

"Well said! You took the words right out of my mouth!" Another Elder stood up. Flexing his gigantic muscles, the white haired Elder Karim stood up. Even though he appeared to be in his nineties, he had managed to retain his air of vigor and his physique.
"I will smash them all down with my fists, just like a true man should!" Elder Karim cracked his knuckles. The other Elders and disciples also stood up, each agreeing and professed their loyalty and their will to fight to the death.
"Good! Come, let's go and give that dog Coran a very warm and courteous welcome!" Shane stood up as well, striding towards the main gates, with the Elders and their disciples following closely behind.
"Lord Coran, there are some White Serenity School members coming down. One of them seems to be Blood Devil Shane, judging from his red robe."
"Ku ku ku, this bastard Shane is just asking for an early death! Very well, I shall grant his wish!" Coran's lips curled up into a smirk.
"Men, kiiillllll!!!!" His voice boomed with power, instilling his troops with bloodlust!
"This Coran is quite a capable general, he actually has the ability to stimulate his troops with just two words. If only he was on our side..." Shane was calmly stepping down the stone steps, observing Coran all the while.
"Rrrrarrrrr!!!!!"
"The ground quaked as the fifty thousand men strong legion surged towards the white robed men, with the aim to spill the soil with fresh blood.
"I hope they will be alright..." Asura looked back at the hill that he had stayed at for twelve whole years. Looking at the scrolls that Shane had given him, he decided to first find a place to settle at, so that he can peacefully train and master the secret arts.
Sanzu and Asura were now soaring above the clouds, blocking them from the views of anyone at ground level.
"Sanzu, full speed ahead!"

Generic Zombie survival Wuxia Cliche story
Same old same old. Zombies attack. Zombies Evolve. Humans evolve. Humans gain superpowers. No deep plot, no plot planned out at all actually. Writing it as I go and because I'm a sad boi trying to use stories as a form of escapism. Not going to proofread, not going to check for grammar or anything. Will definitely read like a machine-translated Chinese amateur web novel. Have a nice day. (The cover is from one punch man, no this is not a fanfic) (I don't actually plan/think anything in this will be too gory or "traumatizing" but since its a zombie survival story I thought I might as well add it, plus the fact that the MC does some pretty messed up stuff. He's the stereotype Wuxia villain so to speak, expect competently and not dumbed down to make the hero look smart.) I will add warnings in author notes before chapter starts if anything particularly "gory" or trigger events happen.
