[Author's Note: Very artistic. so amze. very wow]
"This is the Secret Vault of our White Serenity School, where only School Leaders and future School Leaders are authorized to enter!"
"... Teacher?" Asura softly whispered. Asura already had an idea of what Shane had meant with his words. Stepping into the doorless room that was made out of stone blocks, Asura caught a faint whiff of the smell of old books and paper. Picking up one of the scrolls on the floor, Asura unrolled it and took a look at the contents.
On faded but still somewhat legible ink words were written "Mana Sense".
"That is a really useful skill, you should keep it and study it carefully. By using Mana Sense, you will be spreading out your mana like a sphere and expand it to your desired size. Any organism that has mana will not be able to escape your notice. Very useful when you are exploring at a treacherous area where you can be easily ambushed" Shane advised. He recalled his earlier days when he had travelled around the world, and was often saved by this skill from sneak attacks as well as enemies that were attacking from his blind spots.
Although Asura was already a 4th level Warrior and a 3rd level magus, those were only in terms of body physique and mana capacity. He had not learned some of the more complex sword moves and mana techniques and spells. " Yes, Teacher". Asura rolled up the scroll and put it into his robe pockets.
"Wait here," Shane told Asura and walked to the shelves, browsing through the decaying scrolls, taking whatever he felt that Asura needed."Sigh... I hope Asura will not lose these precious scrolls.... Especially this one." Shane mumbled to himself, looking at the 'Thousand Essences Absorption' scroll. He was somewhat reluctant to let a boy who had not even come of age to inherit all these precious scrolls. If not for the impending calamity, he would not have resorted to such drastic measures. If there was enough time, he would have let Asura memorize the scroll's contents at his leisure, but they were in a dire situation.

Take these, and make sure to master them all. Once you have mastered these skills, burn the scrolls. You must never share these skills to anyone, including your best friend or beloved." Shane warned Asura. "If these scrolls falls into the wrong hands, not only will the White Serene School die out, wars might even break out!"
"Yes, Teacher! Disciple Asura will never forget your words, even in death!" Asura vowed to remember Shane's word forever. He had guessed that Shane already found out about the army, and his extreme actions meant that the army approaching was not a good thing.
"Asura, you're still young and green. Take this token, if you show it to any of the Warriors' Guild branches, they will provide you with free lodging. Go and venture out into the world, accumulate experience and find your own path of life! By all means, you must not reveal that you are from our White Serenity School. Go and use the emergency escape passage, now!"
Meanwhile...
"Lord Coran, we are now 50km away from White Serenity School" a muscular man stabbed his pike into the hardened soil, his feat speaking volumes of his strength.
"Sound the horn," Coran commanded, with authority in his voice. Dressed in his military general garment, he gave off an air of menace and ruthlessness. Being a military general requires one to have either connections within the inner circle of the nobility or through hard work and luck.
Coran was the latter. Born into a slave household, he was treated brutally throughout his childhood, moulding him into a vicious and cunning man, who would then unleash his rage upon the world. In the military, he had to go through countless deadly struggles, and had naturally formed close relationships with some of the men in the military. One of them was Varcas.

"Hoooonnnngggggg........."
"Men, forward march!"
"Eagle Squardron, ready your fire elemental spells!"
"Battalions, assume pyramid formation!"
"Shane, you killed my brother Varcas. Today, I shall repay you a thousand fold!" And the air around Coran started to tremble, as if in tandem with his rage.

Tavern Cat
Dying and being reborn in a fantasy world as a hero destined to kill the Demon King to prevent a great war is some people's greatest dream. Others, however, may prefer to sit around, relax, take a few naps, and ignore the impending doom. And hey, if such a 'hero' gets reborn as a cat, what's gonna stop them from doing all that? Finding a warm home filled with food, gossip, and comfort sounds a whole lot easier than putting in the work to stop a war. Updating weekly, allegedly. Necromancer's Resolve
Foster Locke's life wasn't the harshest it could have been. But it wasn't the easiest either. Despite losing the last of his family and having immense debt thrown on him, getting the chance to keep practicing Martial Arts pulled away, and having a completely messed up sleep-schedule, he usually tried his best to stay positive to the outside world. Of course, that wasn't always possible, especially not when he was staring into the glowing eyes of a man-eating creature he had never heard of before. The glowing message-box that accompanied it wasn't much better either. Not to mention the fact that he was suddenly in a dark forest instead of the train station. This isn't a story of great anguish, inescapable peril, or heroic world-saving. Rather, it's one of a young man trying to get by in a world that seems to try his best to kill him. I hope you enjoy the read. --- Cover Image temporary [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
