Description: This ring is a sign that you are a member of the Assassins Guild as well as a tool to assist in your endeavors.
The only word that came to him when he saw himself in the mirror was lethal. Alex didn't feel like it, but at least it would project it and that was half the battle some of the time. The ring alone was a huge upgrade for him, despite diving into three Dungeons, the only piece of equipment he had acquired along the way was a belt at the Naga temple weeks ago. "Better, much better Alex. Now you at least look the part of an Assassin," Harry stated before chuckling at the idea of Alex's former armor before turning away.
Alex rolled his eyes and made his way over to the board, from the layout Contracts were on one side on voluntary Guild Quests were on the other. Most of them required people of a higher level or higher rank within the Assassins Guild, but a few were within both parameters that he could take.

Alex dismissed the information after reading it again, he had about an hour before nightfall, so he headed back towards the Drunken Meister. He would deal with the Blood Wood then if he had enough time, he would scout out the teacher tomorrow afternoon.

Alex threw himself down as the Vampire sailed over his head, he quickly looked at the thing and studied it. Level twenty-four Feral Vampire flashed above its head and a quarter of its health was gone. Alex checked and the Sloth Poison he had on his daggers currently, had another thirty seconds before he had to renew it. Without the poison, Alex would become Vampire food very quickly, they were just too fast but the Sloth Poison he used slowed them down somewhat.
The Vampire let out a hiss and streaked towards him but Alex moved to the side and the Vampire went sailing past, but not before Alex triggered Shank and slammed one of his daggers into the Vampire causing it to howl in pain and crumple to the ground. Alex immediately took advantage of it and triggered Gauge as he jumped on it. The Vampire screamed in pain as both daggers slammed into it and dropped the Vampire health below half as the poison and Bleeding Debuffs started to eat away at its remaining health.

Alex quickly looted the thing as before pulling out an apple and started munching on it as he let his Stamina and Mana recover naturally and checking his Assassins Skill Tree.

Alex watched as the sickly yellow glow faded from his daggers as the Sloth Poison wore off. The poison was easy to make and he paid the cost upfront and the small vials lasted forever from what he could tell. He still had two more and plenty more of the weed required to make it. Alex looked around and checked his surroundings before climbing up a nearby tree, the Vampire was rare during the daytime, but he didn't want to get ambushed while preparing another dose of the poison. He had made that mistake once already and Alex had almost died due to it.
Thirty seconds later he had a new vial of yellow poison that took about five seconds to apply to both daggers. It didn't do much damage, but the Stamina and Speed Debuffs were far more important to Alex right now. Alex dropped down to the forest floor and set off again in search of Feral Vampires, hopefully, this time, he would do the ambushing.
Alex looked down and could see five Feral Vampires fighting against a bear, two creatures that looked like wolves but were made of vines, leaves, and wood, and a woman in flowing green robes and leather he assumed was a Druid. The Vampire was winning slowly, two other of the wooden constructs lay torn apart and one Vampire was dead in return. Alex considered his option as he applied Sloth Poison too his daggers then dropped down to the forest floor. A small clock appeared on his HUD and started winding down to when the poison expired.
Alex cast Distract, a small prismatic ball of energy floated over the Vampires and immediately caught their attention and breaking all the combat as Alex stalked closer and target the weakest Vampire of the lot. Alex dropped out of Stealth as he activated Backstab, Critical Hit and Flanking scrolled across his eyes as the Vampire dropped and Alex spun and moved onto the next Vampire as he activated Flurry causing his daggers to glow bright red as he started stabbing the Vampire as the Druids pets attacked the other distracted Vampires.
Alex watched as the Vampire crumpled and looked at the ongoing fight, he activated Shadow Step and immediately sunk both daggers into the nearest Vampire as he activated Gauge, the Vampire whimpered as its health zeroed out and the remaining Vampire turned to run but the Druids pets tore into them and quickly killed them.

"Thanks for the help, but I did not expect to see an Assassin out here. Usually its Druids and Rangers. Hi, I am Mandy.' Mandy the Druid stated as she studied Alex. Alex nodded his head in acknowledgment as he cleaned his weapons before sheathing them and started looting the Vampires he had killed. 'Arn't you going to ask why I am out here?" Mandy continued.
Alex rolled his eyes, a girl that liked being the center of attention. "No, not really. Your business is your own and my business is my own. I could see you needed help, so I helped. Now we go our separate ways." Alex responded as he continued to loot.
"Well I have a Dungeon Quest, I might be willing to share it with you," Mandy stated and Alex rolled his eyes again.
"Not interested, but thanks for the offer," Alex replied as he stood and left.
Mandy ran after him, "Wait, I will pay you five gold to help me run it." Alex glared and rolled his eyes.
"If you have that much money, you can hire a group from the Adventurers Guild to assist you," Alex replied as he continued to walk away from the Druid.
"Please!! Five Gold and first pick on any one item, no questions asked." Mandy implored him and Alex stopped and glared at her.
"It's not the matter of money or loot, I am not equipped to go Dungeon diving and its only two of us. We are both DPS, we have no Healer or Tank. So no." Alex replied.
"The Patriarch Vampire I have to kill supposedly has some good Rogue gear, whatever it is would all be yours," Mandy added and that actually got him to stop. His gear was far from top-notch and even the gear from the Assassins Guild was just a step up from what was par for his Level and without the Set Bonuses, they would be par for what he could earn or buy.
"We would need a Tank and a Healer, I would get the first choice on ANY Rogue gear, and one item of my choosing, no questions asked or complaining," Alex responded as he considered what he had potion wise in his inventory. He had six potions of Minor Healing and six of Minor Stamina. He didn't have any Mana potions or even the Recipe to create them, yet.
"Deal!! I have two people already on their way there and should meet us outside the ruins, one is a Shield Warden and the other is a Cleric." Mandy replied as she started pushing deeper into the woods. Alex looked one last time around him and followed her.

Blue Screen Blues
When Ryan Glasser, (an emo kid by heart) kills himself after having a good day at school turn horribly bad, he is forced to stand before his maker for final judgment of his soul. With Ryan Thinking life was just a game he could just end and throw away without any consequences, he is offered a deal to live his next life in a real-life RPG world full of swords, magic, misery, memes, and Mondays with nothing to help him along the way but a magical cellphone full of his music to get by in his afterlife. A real-life RPG you say? That sounds like perfect place to spend eternity! What’s the catch? Well first of all, this “Server” is in a nightmarish beta stage that has two trapped goddesses engaged in an everlasting brutal holy war between each other that has recently turned into a stalemate. Ryan is supposed to kill one of these goddesses somehow. (Technically there is a third goddess, but no one really cares about her) Secondly Ryan can’t die in this world without completing his mission here. If he does, straight to hell he goes. Thirdly, right from the start of spawning into this world, he has an annoying clingy emo/scene cat-dog rogue girl fall in love with him. This would be great in all If Ryan didn’t hate furries. Ryan will realize no matter how hard he tries he just can’t lose this clingy disaster. Forth: Living in an RPG world is great and exhilarating but when the class you choose to roll seems to be just as emo as you are, interesting things are going to happen. You better hold on tight; destiny holds in store for Ryan a Twisted Romance, tons of betrayal, a life full of dark twists and turns, and an adventure that will make or break him in this strange new world. Welcome to Lectioterra Adventurer! (Please DO NOT buff the Raid boss) (Please note i am quite aware that book one was written with quite a few thousand errors. I took a break from writing for ten years and had to relearn a lot of things. I learned quite a lot from writing 100+ chapters so far. I will go back and edit book one’s chapters after I get book two finished. If you all want to point out the errors in the earlier chapters I will gladly edit those things ASAP)
