In the dark basement where nothing could be heard, I carried Tsurai in my arms and looked straight to the Wight and skeleton dragon. Just shortly after I awoke, I saw Tsurai almost being crushed by the skeleton dragon. In a hurry I stretch my arms to Tsurai and pulled her before she was crushed.

Tsurai asked me while looking at me with worry in her eyes and grabbing at my shirt, how cute.

“ yeah, I’m okay. Thanks to mother’s healing, my wounds already healed. “ (Kagero)

After I answered Tsurai’s question with a smile, Tsurai began to teared up while grabbing harder to my shirt and press her face to my chest.

All the While firing all kinds of magic at the Wight and the dragon, I generated three normal tentacles and with it, I grabbed mother, Yuuna and Alice.

While the Wight and the dragon was busy with my magic, I took out another two magic shooter tentacles and transform it to jet pack and flew toward the basement door. As I get out of the basement, I didn’t stop and kept flying toward the castle’s gate. After I reached the first floor I heard the dragon roared and I flew even faster. In under one minute, thanks to my frenzy flying, I flew out of the castle and stopped about ten meters from the castle’s gate. I stopped because I thought something was strange.

“ .........strange, why isn’t she chasing us? “ (Kagero)

I don’t know about the Wight’s speed but I was sure she could easily chased us, I mean she could fly and all, so why isn’t she chasing us?

I just stood and daze. After a few second, I finally awoke from the daze and stared at Tsurai.

Tsurai’s face was facing down but I could see teardrops began to form on the corner of Tsurai’s eyes. as her body trembled, the tears slowly dropped from her eyes to her cheeks.

“ I know that I’m weak. Compared to you or the Wight, I am weak.............but still..... I’m your wife! I want to fight beside you! How can I escaped when my husband is fighting with his life on the line to protect me?! I have enough of being the protected one! Am I that unreliable?! The skeleton dragon was thrashing around, trying to break free from my grip. but before it could free itself, I retracted my arm and pulled the skeleton dragon to the ground.

A dull sound rang when the skeleton dragon crashed to the ground head first. I stabbed Rinsen to the ground and prepared to dash toward the dragon.

“ Rinsen, you stay here and helped Tsurai. Use all the sentry. I don’t need cover fire. “ (Kagero)

“ understood, master. “ (Rinsen)

After ordering Rinsen, I dashed at the skeleton dragon. The skeleton dragon was trying to stand, I jumped toward the skeleton dragon as it rise it’s head from the ground.

“ who told you to rise your head? Down, boy. “ (Kagero)

I punched the skeleton dragon’s head down. A dull sound and cracking sound rang from the skeleton dragon’s head. Before the skeleton dragon’s head touched the ground, I used [Wings of Yatagarasu] and flew below it’s head.

“ I’m not done yet!! “ (Kagero)

I threw an uppercut right to the skeleton’s dragon’s jaw. As the skeleton dragon’s head was in the air, I flew above the skeleton dragon’s head and gave it a drop kick. The skeleton dragon’s head was embedded into the ground by the force of my kick. The skeleton dragon’s head was full of cracks and some part of it’s head was starting to fall apart. Compared to the obsidian golem, the skeleton dragon was soft.

I enlarged my fist and dived towards the skeleton dragon’s head.

With that last attack, I destroyed the skeleton’s dragon’s head to smithereens. After a few second, I was about to rush to help Tsurai, But suddenly the skeleton’s dragon’s body stood up. I was surprised when I saw the headless skeleton dragon’s body stood up, but I soon snap out of my surprised state and flew up, dodging the the skeleton dragon’s claw that came to crush me.

I took a distance from the skeleton dragon as I closely analyzing the skeleton dragon. I was searching for an answer, as to how the headless skeleton dragon was still moving.

All my gaming experience and instinct told me that the purple ball of gas in the center of the skeleton dragon’s body was the thing that somehow preventing the dragon to die, even after losing it’s head.

“ no matter, I’ll just destroy it with the next attack. “ (Kagero)

Once again I ran toward the dragon. I didn’t know or care but somehow the headless skeleton dragon was able to saw me. the dragon swung down it’s tail at me but I easily dodged it to the side and kept running, then the dragon swept it’s tail at me. I couldn’t afford to stop, so I activated [Wings of Yatagarasu] and just flew toward the dragon’s chest, dodging it’s tail at the same time. When I was almost reached the ball of gas, I transform my right arm to eater tentacle. With my eater tentacle’s jaw wide open, I thrust the eater tentacle toward the ball of gas, but before I managed to devour the ball of gas, a stream of purple gas shoot out from the ball of gas and went straight at me.

The stream of purple gas was too fast and too sudden, leaving me with no time to dodge, in a hurry I formed a shield with my left hand and guard against the incoming purple gas. The moment I devoured the ball of gas, the skeleton dragon crumbled and became a pile of bones. I stored all of the bones and dashed to Rinsen.

“ Rinsen, how’s the situation? “ (Kagero)

I picked up Rinsen and looked at the battle between the Wight and Tsurai in front of me. The Wight was hiding behind her shield and slowly retreating while Tsurai was unceasingly slashing the Wight’s shield. Even after being slashed numerous time by Strada, the Wight’s shield showed no sign of breaking, not even a crack appeared on the shield surface.

The Wight conjured black daggers and attacked Tsurai from above, Tsurai back flipped and dodge the daggers. As soon as Tsurai landed on the ground, the Wight fired three black balls at Tsurai. Tsurai deflected the first black ball with her shield and slashed the second and third black ball with her sword. The Wight fired a black laser, Tsurai dodged the laser to the side. the laser didn’t stop, Tsurai ran circling the Wight but the Wight kept the laser hot on Tsurai’s trail.

Tsurai slowly getting closer to the Wight as she ran circling the Wight, Tsurai pounced at the Wight the moment she was only a few meters away from the Wight. Tsurai slashed her sword at the Wight but it was blocked again, in an instant the Wight extinguished her laser and formed her shield, blocking Tsurai’s sword.

“ they’re even..........or not. “ (Kagero)

“ they have been at it for quite long but none of their attacks have connected so far and yet the Wight haven’t broke a sweat while Tsurai-sama had use quite a lot of her energy and magic. with how close they are and the Wight’s shield, support fire will only harm Tsurai-sama. “ (Rinsen)

“ then time for us to enter the fray. Lets go, Rinsen. “ (Kagero)

“ yes, master. “ (Rinsen)

With Rinsen in hand, I leaped and swung down Rinsen at the Wight. sensing me, the Wight pushed away Tsurai and dodged Rinsen and took a distance from me. in that moment I whispered at Tsurai.

the sentry I set began firing at the Wight the moment she took a distance from me, the Wight easily dodged the volley of magic and obsidian by flying to the sky but I already activated [Wings of Yatagarasu] and flew beside the Wight and swung Rinsen at her. the Wight instantly formed her shield in panic but although the Wight managed to avoid being cleaved to two, the force of my attack threw the Wight down to the ground.

Dust cloud rose and a small crater formed when the Wight fell to the ground. I didn’t stop my assault there, I generated two magic shooter tentacle and obsidian tentacle and fired wildly at where the Wight fell, I also added a stream of feathers attack using [Feather Manipulation]. I kept firing for at least 10 minutes until suddenly a multiple of black balls flew at me. I deactivated [Wings of Yatagarasu] and dropped to the ground, dodging the black balls. Not long after that the Wight emerged from the crater.

“ ...........I have to admit, you are the first being to ever corner me this much after that monster but enough is enough! I’ll end you right now! “ (Wight)

Black aura burst out from the Wight’s body and coiled around her. numerous black balls start popping out of thin air and orbited around the Wight. the Wight pointed her finger at me and with a snapped it.

Some of the black balls came flying at me while others shot black lasers at me. in panic, I let out my fake jetpack and started evading the lasers and black balls. I didn’t use [Wings of Yatagarasu] because with how big the wing was it would just be a sitting duck in these volley of magic. I cut some of the black balls, evading the black lasers and counterattacked with some of magic while keeping myself in front of the Wight.

“ come on! Come on! You won’t be able to defeat me with just evading! “ (Wight)

“ heh, talk after you managed to hit me. you can’t even hit me with all this magic. “ (Kagero)

“ ........Let’s see how you avoid this! “ (Wight)

The Wight’s magic volley became more fierce, it became harder and harder to dodged the Wight’s magic, until finally I could only make a really thick obsidian shield reinforced to the extreme.

“ HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Now you could only defend, I want to see how long you could keep this up! “ (Wight)

The Wight’s magic volley kept getting fiercer and denser but no matter how much the Wight’s magic hit my shield, it didn’t even leave a dent on it but the magic consumption to maintain the reinforce on my shield was humongous. I couldn’t keep this for long but fortunately I already realize I’m not fighting alone. My mouth twisted to a smile, seeing my smile the Wight showed a worried face for a second but vanished in the next. The Wight probably thinking that I only waiting for her to run out magic, until............

The Wight looked down at her stomach and found pure white claymore piercing it from her back. The Wight’s magic instantly vanished, the Wight looked behind her and saw Tsurai behind her.
