The Wight felt a sharp pain along with burning sensation on her stomach and looked behind her and saw Tsurai behind her, Tsurai looked straight to the Wight’s eyes before a smirk floated on her face. Tsurai moved her sword like a jigsaw, further increasing the Wight’s pain. Dark blood flowed from the Wight’s stomach, drenching both her stomach and back. Under the intense pain the Wight couldn’t even let out a scream, only a strained painful groan could be heard from the Wight. in a frenzy the Wight swung her hand behind her, trying to hit Tsurai but Tsurai swiftly pulled out her sword as she jumped back and ran toward me.

The Wight stared at Tsurai and me with great hatred as she tried hold her stomach and used the black magic around her to slow down her bleeding and regenerate, but the residual light magic didn’t allow her flesh to regenerate, leaving a big bleeding hole on her body which normally killed anything. She may be an undead and unusually tough but she definitely wasn’t immortal. The plan I created on the spot worked and even managed to gave a heavy damage on the Wight.

Back then the plan I whispered to Tsurai went like this “ I’ll attract her attention and lowered her guard at that time sneak behind her and wait, attack her when you see a chance. Kill her if you can but just giving her a heavy damage will suffice so don’t waste your chance. “ after that I seized her attention and make her forget about Tsurai, I also make her drained her magic that acted as defensive layer that protected her body by forcing to used it to attack me. the outcome of the plan was better than I expected.

With Tsurai Light element coated Strada, Tsurai attack would hurt the Wight more than my attack, that was why I told Tsurai to attacked the Wight and it was the right choice.

“ now then, I’m not going torment you anymore, I’ll let you rest.....inside me. “ (Kagero)

I transformed my arm to eater tentacle and enlarge it as it slithered toward the Wight. when my arm stood in front of the Wight, it look like a giant black snake baring it’s fangs at the Wight. although I knew the Wight was dying I didn’t want to risk getting near her just to devour her, since I knew just how dangerous a cornered beast were..........and I was right to be cautious. My eater tentacle opened it’s mouth and was about to devour the Wight when the Wight revealed a smile.

My sense of danger went straight to the max level, I didn’t waste anytime and took a bite at the Wight. the giant jaw of my eater tentacle closed at split second, I didn’t know how and why the Wight did it but at the last second the Wight slightly bend her body. the bite that should have take the whole upper body of the Wight only took the head and right half of the Wight’s upper body. Although I slightly miss my target it was still fatal, I lowered my guard when I looked at the dying Wight’s body....................and that cost me dearly.

ZUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNN!!!!!

Three long black spears extended from the Wight’s left hand, piercing my eater tentacle along with me. I could feel a sharp pain rang out from my shoulder, chest and stomach, I knew those three areas were pierced and the one in my chest hit my heart. Before I even look down the three spears disappear and blood burst out from the three deep holes on my body. The three spears attack was too fast that not even me were able to stop or dodge them, Tsurai and Rinsen were unable to react with how fast it all happened, they could only stood motionlessly when the three spears attacked me and reacted after they saw blood burst out of my body.

“ Kagero! “ (Tsurai)

“ Master! “ (Rinsen)

Before I fell to the ground Tsurai caught me from the back while crying, Tsurai sat on the ground with me leaning powerless on her. Rinsen took out his tentacle and used his tentacle to filled the holes on my body. At that point my vision grew dim, all things became slow and I couldn’t hear anything anymore. I glanced at what was left of the Wight, the Wight’s body was shaking as if it was saying “ hahahaha! If I’m going to die at least I’m going to drag you down to hell with me! “

CHHHHOOOOMPPP!!!

Without thinking I used my eater tentacle to bite what was left of the Wight’s body, finishing my meal. Unlike me it would take more than just three holes to stop my tentacle, After it done devouring the Wight my eater tentacle shrunk and return to a normal arm. My eyes became heavier, right before I closed my eyes, I caught the sight of mother, Yuuna and Alice running toward me. I smiled at Tsurai who was crying while hugging my body.

“ .........I’m a little......tired.........wake me up.......later...... “ (Kagero)

After uttering those word, I closed my eyes and plunge to the darkness once again. I’ve been going in and out of this place too much to knew that this place won’t be able to hold me, this place was a mere temporary resting place for me. in the darkness, I walked aimlessly. Waiting for the time to woke up.

“ hey. “ (???)

I was startled when suddenly someone call out to me from behind. I looked behind me and there stood a black shadow. I wonder how could I see his form in this darkness.

“ you’re just have arrive here in less than a month and yet you already visited this place so often. Please take care of your life, didn’t someone tell you that it will all be for naught if you die? “ (???)

“ ...........mind your own business. I don’t know who you are but You got nerve just appear suddenly and started to nag at me? who the hell do you think you are? “ (Kagero)

Who is this guy? And who is this someone he’s talking about? Judging by his word he definitely knew who I am. I had a feeling that this guy know something and if he really knew something, I will have the answer even if I have to forced it out of him. Just to make sure he spoke the truth I’ll threaten him a little bit, as I said that killing intent began to leak out from me.

“ I know you want to complain but this is something the other one arrange for your sake. you see, to fight a god you will need a strength and sets of abilities of an abnormal level and this world alone won’t provide you with the strength and abilities you need. So the other one beg me to enter you to the list of summoned beings so you can journey to many worlds, in hope to nourish your strength and provide you with the abilities you need to fight a god. “ (???)

This conversation was turning more strange by the moment. First, I had gods hot on my trail and now a summoned being? I really didn’t know how to react to this but let’s listen and ask for more information for now.

“ can you tell me more about what exactly is a summoned being? “ (Kagero)

“ it almost the same as summoned beings from games of your world. the difference is that you have more freedom. “ (???)

“ it’s kinda a pain to explain but oh well, listen up cause I’m not gonna repeat myself. As you know a summoned being is, like it’s name, a being summoned to help you. it could be summoned from your own world, other realm or other world. there are many ways of summoning ritual but it is split into two distinctive types of summoning ritual, the abstract and default summoning ritual.

There are one thing that make this two summoning ritual differ from each other, that is the target of the summoning. The abstract ritual summon things or living beings outside of the list of summoned beings while default ritual can only summon beings in the list of summoned beings. The list of summoned beings is, once again like the name, the list of all beings that can be summoned by the default ritual and the only who can mess with it is me. “ (???)

“ I like to keep things simple but never mind that, continue on. Now I’m gonna explain to you about the two types of the summoning ritual, first is the abstract type.

The specialness of the abstract ritual is not on the summoned beings but it is the ritual itself, why? Because the beings summoned by the abstract ritual is always a powerless beings. The beings summoned by the abstract ritual is merely a vessel that has been bestowed power by the abstract ritual.

The abstract ritual basically work like this, first thing you do is make the complex magic circle and prepare the sacrifice. The abstract ritual always need a sacrifice of some sort, The more power the ritual have the more sacrifice it needed. Then the ritual will randomly search for a beings after it find a good beings it will make the being a vessel of it’s power. The more power the ritual bestowed the more sacrifice it needed. The ritual that summoned you and your friends were abstract type. as for the reason why you are bestowed the power of tentacle while your friends are bestowed the power of the heroes, you will need to found out about it yourself. “ (???)

“ with your power and the fact that you have your own will, a strong one at that, it will be next to impossible for any summoner to control you. sure, they can summon you but it is up to you whether you’ll help them or not and the summoner won’t even be able to unsummoned you. You can just abandon the summoner who summoned you the moment you arrive.

But since I’ll be troubled if you really do that, so please at least listen to what your summoner want you to do first. If you really don’t like what your summoner want you to do, tell me then you can abandon the summoner. Pretty fair, right? “ (???)

“ good question, kid. Yes, there are other world beside Earth and Regrest. You see, there are countless world from the big one to small one. some of them are similar to Earth and Regrest while some are completely different. There are worlds where there are no magic but there are profound strength. There are worlds so scientifically so advance it would make Earth look like a stone age in comparison. There many worlds and all of them are filled with mysterious things and beings that could help you dominate anything in your path. So when you got summoned later, you better not waste that chance, kid. See ya. “ (???)

The black shadow quietly disappear while smiling after he said that. There were too many things I heard in short time, I’ll need some time to analyze it all. Slowly the darkness around disperse and light began shining above me, guess it’s time to wake up. When I opened my eyes I was lying on my bed with Tsurai and Alice sleeping beside me. I moved slowly as to not woke up Tsurai and Alice beside me. as I sat on my bed, Rinsen greeted me.

“ good morning, master. “ (Rinsen)

“ Rinsen, tell me what happened after I passed out. “ (Kagero)

“ yes, master. “ (Rinsen)

Why am I sleeping with Tsurai and Alice? I understand if it was Tsurai but why is Alice here too? After I heard what happened after I passed out, I understand why Alice here and a feeling to posses Alice completely, grew inside me. the same feeling I felt and still did for Tsurai. Why? Because Alice had save my life. It may sound cliche but it was cliche in a good way.

According to Rinsen, the Wight’s spears pierced my heart and and put a hole on several of my organs. It took Rinsen all he had just to keep me alive for a little longer. Right after the spears attack, Rinsen used his tentacle to temporarily sealed my wounds and maintained my body function. Tsurai and mother bombard my body with healing magic but it was futile, Alice and Yuuna were crying. Yuuna was shaking my body while screaming “ papa! wake up! Papa! “ and Alice was crying beside me and holding my hand.

After a while, Tsurai and mother used up all their mana and my wound showed no sign of recovering. Well, my heart was destroyed and several of my organs were punctured, it would need a regenerating magic to heal my wounds. Despair began to show on everyone faces. In desperation Tsurai asked Rinsen to gave her heart to me in order to save me, thankfully Rinsen reject Tsurai proposal. Before anyone uttered anymore radical idea, Rinsen told everyone his idea that might be able to save me.

Rinsen idea was to replace my organs with a new one made out of tentacle, but there was just one problem with Rinsen’s idea, Rinsen didn’t have much tentacle cell to make all my organs. Rinsen told Everyone to pick up the sentry tentacle and gave it to him, in hope that by devouring the sentry tentacle would give him enough tentacle cell to regenerate my organs. but before everyone even move, Alice spoke.

“ if you have enough cell, you really can save Kagero, right? “ (Alice)

There was still traces of tears on her eyes but it couldn’t hide the seriousness of her eyes. without waiting for Rinsen to answer her, Alice put both her hands on Rinsen and activating her magic.

“ when Alice-sama put her hand on me, I could feel a surge of mysterious magic flowing into me and out of nowhere, my cell overflowed. The moment I sensed an almost infinite cell surging inside me, I used all that cell to replace all of master’s wounded organs. after I finished regenerating master’s organs, I urged everyone to take master inside the castle since we cannot risk being attacked while master is wounded and unconscious. When we reached master’s room, Alice-sama suddenly passed out so we laid her right next to you and Tsurai –sama didn’t want to leave you so she also slept next to you. “ (Rinsen)

“ where’s mother and Yuuna? “ (kagero)

“ Risala-sama is on the roof with Yuuna-sama, Risala-sama took Yuuna-sama there to calm Yuuna-sama down. “ (Rinsen)

“ I see. “ (Kagero)

I looked at Alice sleeping face and stroke her hair.

“ Rinsen, do you know what magic did Alice used? “ (Kagero)

“ I’m sorry, master. I do not know. “ (Rinsen)

“ it’s called [Perfect Copy] it’s a unique magic that only Alice has it. “ (Tsurai)

Without me realizing Tsurai woke up, Tsurai’s hand rubbed the places wher I was wounded and knowing that the wounds was really healed, Tsurai smiled with little beads of tears on the corner of her eyes and hugged me. feeling the soft sensation on my chest, I couldn’t help but hugged her back and press her tightly to my body to felt more of that soft sensation before asking Tsurai about Alice’s unique magic [Perfect Copy].

[Perfect Copy] according to what Tsurai’s heard from Alice, herself, it was a magic, like it’s name, with the power to copy anything perfectly. It could copy anything from inanimate thing to living thing. but even though [Perfect Copy] could copy the body it couldn’t copy it’s soul, so if Alice copy an animal it would just be a soulless meat bag. It may be of no use in copying living thing but if it inanimate things it would became a real-life money cheat.

Now I know where that rotten kingdom get it’s wealth, just like what Tsurai said that kingdom owed Alice for all it’s wealth. I was already in foul mood when I thought about the king using Alice to make himself more rich but treated Alice badly, when Tsurai continue I went pass foul mood and became enraged. Tsurai said that every time Alice used this she lose quite a bit of her lifespan because what required to use this magic was not mana but Alice own lifespan.

Being Alice’s father and probably the one who make Alice used this magic, that King knew what kind of price Alice had to pay to use this magic and yet he still told her to use it, That scum!..........but I make her waste her life to save mine, I am pretty much a scum like the king. After knowing Alice reduced her own life to save mine made my desire to possessed Alice completely became stronger but some doubt still lingered in my heart.

“ Tsurai, do you know how much her lifespan left? “ (Tsurai)

Tsurai face gre solemn as she answered me.

“ ...........Alice was sickly and have a weak body from birth, the royal doctor said her max lifespan probably only until 30 to 40. With how much she had use [Perfect Copy] Alice life probably already...... “ (Tsurai)

.........why the hell is good people had such a cruel life in this world? does this world despise good people?

“ Tsurai, even after knowing her lifespan, do you still want me to make Alice my second wife? “ (Kagero)

“ ......yes, all the more so because of her lifespan. You see, Kagero, before you came to this world Alice never smile from the bottom of her heart and always wore a fake smile. “ yes but knowing Alice’s situation made me unconsciously looking at Alice with pity. Can you call someone who look at you with pity, your friend? No, a friend can feel pity about his friend but never show it and stand beside her and help her. after years of living and enduring alone you came to her world, Kagero. you being her friend was something Alice desperately need and with time goes on, you became more and more important to her, until finally she fell for you. “ (Tsurai)

“ but from what you said, isn’t Alice mistook her feeling that longing for a friend with love? it was Alice’s first time to have a fiend and she wants me to be with her all the time so strongly, she mistake that as love for me. and if I had known about Alice’s circumstances I would have probably saw her with pity too.... “ (Kagero)

“ it doesn’t matter, what matter is Alice is the happiest when she stays with you and as someone close to her, I want to make her happy. I don’t mind if you take Alice as your second wife because I know you will love us equally. So please Kagero, I want to share the happiness of being your wife with Alice, you can take it as my and Alice’s last wish. “ (Tsurai)

A drop of tears flowed down Tsurai’s cheek as she said that. All the doubts in my heart disappear and one desire surfaced in my heart..............the desire to possessed both Tsurai and Alice.
