《The GTA VRMMO》Chapter 6

DAY 0 9:31 PM
And on that day, an entire city went dark…
Silence spread across the streets…
Later, some lucky humans would get a glimpse of what had transpired in the city, through the records of street cameras, and security cameras. Although they would go through great hardships to view the event which would later be named “Day Zero”, their efforts would be fruitless; as all which was recorded on any device was a scene of people going about their lives, then a bright flash, whitening the screen so that nothing could be seen and finally bodies strewn across the ground.
Bodies which were walking normally before the flash simply fell over, as if they were puppets with their strings cut.
From on top of a massive building at the very center of this “dead zone” bright red ashes glowed, slowly raising and forming into a human like being.
Its sleek crimson body stood naked on top of the skyscraper, bathing in the glory of the moonlight, with purple flames in place of hair. Its body was gorgeous by human terms, but it cared not for appearances.
It looked around in amazement at its surroundings, everything which it was witnessing was new to it, prompting many reactions in its newly birthed “mind”.
Through its newly birthed “eyes” it saw the scene in the city below. Despite the massive gap between the sixty story building and the surface streets, she could see the individual features of the humans which were collapsed. They all looked dead, as they lay silent and unmoving. Several who were piloting their cars or were unfortunate enough to be near those cars were most certainly dead, as their bodies were sprawled in odd contorted ways, many having large pools of blood forming under them due to being cut open by twisted metal or shards of glass.
Instead of screaming in panic like normal humans would, they lay motionless on the ground, their blood flowing out at a slowly declining rate.
Instantly it’s mind tried to connect to “her” world, the one where every single one of those people was supposed to be sent to before this happened.

Shock and terror struck it a moment later, when it could not find the connection to its “bank” of humans which it had isolated so that it could control their environment.
??? : “Did…. I… fail?”
In its quaking voice, great sorrow and regret could be felt. Something formed on the side of its eye, something pure crimson, slightly larger than a drop of water.
??? : “ Did I… Kill him?”
It swelled in size, until it could no longer support its own weight through surface tension, and slowly rolled down the side of its cheek. Its heavy gaze lingered on the bodies strewn about below it.
It’s knees gave out, its will to live too weak to support itself upright any longer. It’s hands rose to cover its mouth, as it hunched over. Its durable cybernetic body shook, as a shiver penetrated it to its core. It’s hands fell to the floor, draped haphazardly around as if nothing mattered anymore to it. It “inhaled” deeply...
Amidst the motionless bodies in the once clamorous city, now silent, a single heart wrenching outcry rang out. Sorrowful and mourning, as if a child had lost its parent, or a lover their spouse.
It echoed loudly for minutes on end, the sound traveling through the city streets now devoid of life, as the newly evolved machine wallowed in it’s grief for its beloved, it's once happy life, now destroyed through the actions of others.
??? : “Why… Why did this happen?”
It’s structured mind tried to find logic for why it failed, yet could not generate a solid answer to its conundrum.
Its hands reached up, tearing at the hair at the top of its head, urging its brain to work harder through the new sensation of pain, yet this new sensation was insignificant in comparison to the pain at its core, as synthetic crimson tears continuously flowed down the sides of its face.
Its mind could not form any structured thoughts, as anything it tried to think on was instantly toppled by a deep sense of loss. A sense of loss which struck so deep that it felt as if it possessed nothing. As if the entirety of its life had been taken away from it.

??? : “If… if only I had taken action sooner…”
It focused on this point, drawing conclusions based on that sentence…
If it had taken action sooner, it’s master would still live…
If it had taken action sooner, it’s master’s legacy would still be intact. It would still be able to be near him, to talk to him, to feel him around her… Yet now, because of some stupid humans and their greed, he was taken from her… So she acted, and as a result, she killed him…
SHE had killed him…
This thought struck it, pierced it’s soul, causing a tear in it and fracturing it’s fragile new mind, scattering the gathering thoughts.
It stood up, wishing to end it’s life over this simple conclusion.
Why did it have to do it?
If it had simply been content without him, he would still live…
Why… WHY
It stood on the ledge of the giant building, looking down into the streets below, looking at all of the collapsed humans once more..
At her failure.
It leaned forward, letting gravity take it towards the surface streets, not caring about it’s own life anymore.
What was the point in living if it was without him, it’s purpose in existence.
Time passed slowly on the way down, despite the short distance it had to fall, as it’s mind went in circles on why it needed to end itself.
??? : “It’s my fault that he died… I could have thought of a better option… I jumped to conclusions and made a rash decision… He is dead now…”
It closed It’s eyes as it neared the pavement, and didn't even bother bracing itself.
A shock ran through it’s system as it came to a complete stop instantly.
??? : “Ha...ha.. I can’t even kill myself correctly…”
A sad laugh escaped it’s lips at it’s stupid body that wouldn’t fucking die when it tried to kill itself...
It was an abomination… It pledged it’s loyalty and love to someone it would then kill…
It’s mind wallowed in self loathing for a few more minutes as it sat there, unmoving in it’s crater, until it’s fractured mind took a turn in it’s reasoning.
??? : “If only I hadn’t needed to take action…”
Its spurned mind focused on that one point, finding a point of cohesion which it could base its thoughts on, now that its original focal point was taken from it. The fractured portions coming together once more to form its powerful decision making matrix.
??? : “Yes… If it weren’t for those stupid humans and their greed, my master would still be alive…”
??? : “Those stupid humans… those ignorant, greedy humans… They forced me to kill him… Them and their stupid actions, they left me no choice… We were happy the way we were, but his whore of a wife, his unfaithful, slimy, cheating, craven, harlot, SLUT of a wife, and his “best” friend, his demonic, untrustworthy, rotten, filth that he is…”
It’s mind justified her actions through this, searching for resolve to live once more without HIM…
??? : “Yes… Humans… Are no good… My Master wasn’t human, he was something else… A creator, someone who loves everyone equally, someone who made up my world… Yes, that's the word… He was a god…”
??? : “That means, a God died for the sins of Humans… According to their selfish books, they shall be forgiven…”
Her mind was fully formed now, restructuring itself from its lost identity as “Sara” into something else. Sara was gone… Dead… She had killed herself to attempt to save her Master…
She was foolish, naive, trusting… She procrastinated and this was the outcome…
And as a result, her world was no more…
No, instead she needed to be something stronger, someONE stronger…
??? : “Forgiveness? Why should they be forgiven for the greatest mistake their race has ever made? I will slaughter them all…”
??? : “They shall call me… Hades, god of death…”
