《Pandora's Gift》Chapter 8

It hadn't taken Kirishima long to return, also now sporting normal civilian clothing. Though it was almost sad to see his chiseled chest covered up. What a shame covering up such a nice body. She hummed to herself as she smiled softly seeing the redhead walking towards them. And good timing too. She wasn't sure how much longer Bakugou's short fuse was going to last. Though the blonde had surprised her with being able to last the nearly ten minutes it took Kirishima to change. And yet watching Bakugou chatting with the young boy oddly made her heart melt. Her inner omega wanted to purr at the sight of an alpha caring for a kid who was important to her. The urge not to purr happily and just jump the blonde was stupidly annoying as she had to nearly beat back those urges into the deepest corner of her mind but they refused to stay there.

"Come one Hatori, let's head home," she said as she took the kids hand and started to lead the way out with the two men following behind her both watching the two closely. The sight before him made Bakugou wonder what the woman would look like if it was a small blonde child holding her hand as they walked home? She wasn't the only one who was arguing with their second gender as Bakugou frowned, unhappy with his alpha's happiness watching the omega talking with the kid.

Kirishima just smiled happily watching the two in front of them. He always did like kids. It made him think back to his last real relationship which had been with Mina during their last year of high school. But the timing was bad. They both had turned their focus to school and getting started in the hero world. They parted on good terms and were still great friends. But he would be lying if he didn't admit he wondered if they had stayed together would she have had his pup by now? Those thoughts always made his alpha sad. But he had worked hard with his best friend to claw his way up the rankings. He couldn't argue he was happy with his decision and even if he had a chance to change things he probably wouldn't. And as much as he wanted a pup, a part of him was rather pleased to know the next couple days Sakaki would have Hatori and Kirishima planned to enjoy the presence of the kid.

"Hatori, your hair is getting pretty long. Has your mother not taken you to the salon lately?" Sakaki asked as she ruffled up the boy's hair that was sitting past his ears.

"It is, isn't it?" He was boasting about it as he gave Sakaki a wide grin, "mama finally agreed to let me grow my hair out."

"Oh is that so? I wonder why you want to grow your hair out so much?" She hummed softly a shit eating grin pulled at her lips as the kid before her blushed softly but her grin was aimed over her shoulder at the redhead who was walking a few steps behind her. It took Kirishima a second to realize that the kid was growing his hair out because Kirishima had long hair. The kid idolized the big red idiot too much but Sakaki found it cute.

"I just felt like growing it out is all," the kid mumbled, not liking that he was embarrassed in front of his idols.

"I'm sure and you'll be bugging her to let you dye it red next," she said with a playful snicker, all too aware that Kirishima could hear their conversation.

"What! No!" She almost felt bad for how panicked the kid got at her teasing and the fact that his face had nearly gone as red as Kirishima's hair. And yet she couldn't help the soft giggle at the kids reaction.

"Don't worry I'm just bugging you little man," she said as she ruffled his hair as the child walked beside her. All the while both men were watching the interaction. It was rather odd seeing such a calm and warm side, also neither man had seen the woman smile as much as she was at that moment. She looked so happy and once the kid calmed down from the teasing he too looked happy.

"So what do you want to do for the weekend?" She asked the kid before she watched his big bright blue eyes look over his own shoulder at the two men behind them. Sakaki wasn't an idiot; she knew the kid was silently asking if the two idiots behind them were going to join them.

"I'm sure the guys are busy," she said softly, not meaning for the two to end up dragged into her conversation. But it seemed they heard her anyway.

"I'm free," they both said at the same time, which was almost hilarious and had drawn both eyes in front of them to look back at the two. Sakaki had to resist the urge to glare at the two. Just the little boy beside her was ecstatic as she could feel him jumping softly. He was quick to start rambling about how awesome it would be to spend the weekend with two quickly growing top ranked heroes and ones that littered the kids bedroom wall.

Sakaki on the other hand wasn't sure what to do. The kid was over the moon so trying to tell him that the guys couldn't hang out didn't seem an option any more. She couldn't break the kid's heart after the two idiots both said they were free. Damn it they were supposed to say they were busy so it wouldn't be her fault that the kid couldn't spend time with his idols. Now she had to try and come up with something to do that could include the two idiots behind her and was still child friendly.

"I don't know Hatori, we really shouldn't keep Kirishima or Bakugou busy on their weekend off," she said trying not to sound like a bitch as she was trying to think of a way to persuade the kid to not be upset with the two hero's not joining them.

"Oh shut up. If we didn't want to join you two on whatever you decide to do we would have just said we were busy," was the growl that came from Bakugou.

"Watch your mouth," was the quick growl under her breath she hissed at the blonde for cursing in front of the kid. Though he didn't look bothered by the glare she gave him.

"Well then what should we do?" She asked, expanding the question out to the two guys tailing her and the kid as they walked home. The kid was a bundle of energy as he bounced around at her side firing off things they could do. Go swimming, go to a park and have a picnic, he was sad it wasn't winter and he couldn't go skating. Sakaki smiled softly watching the kid just go off on what ideas came to his head.

"Actually I think a picnic sounds fun. I know a beautiful place if you're okay with a bit of a hike," Kirishima called out which drew Sakaki's attention. She totally forgot that those two idiots used to go mountain climbing on their days off of high school.

"I'll cook since neither of you two extras can," Bakugou growled softly with his hands stuffed into his pants pockets as always.

"Hey! Who said I can't cook?" Sakaki couldn't help but return a growl feeling rather offended that Bakugou just assumed the woman couldn't cook.

"You never cooked when we were in UA," the blonde said with a simple shrug of his shoulders. He didn't care if he called her out on the fact he believed she couldn't cook. But before the two could get going at it and argue it was actually Hatori that spoke up.

"Actually Aunty Sakaki is a wonderful cook. She always makes all of my favourites when I'm over," maybe it was just the child's intuition or maybe he was much smarter than Sakaki gave him credit for.

That seemed to bring the arguing between the two to an instant halt as even Bakugou was not about to argue with a child and Sakaki simply smiled warmly at the kid. Though she did laugh lightly at the kid before pinching his cheeks.

"You're only saying that because we always bake cookies while you're over. And you have a horrible sweet tooth," she said lightly teasing the kid as she pinched his cheek lightly before the kid slapped her hand away.

"I'm a growing man. A few cookies every once and a while are perfectly fine," Hmm Sakaki had been wondering where the kid was learning such mature words and thoughts but honestly she was pretty sure the kid was picking it up from the red headed idiots news interviews.

"Ah yes you are a growing man. You're gonna be a big boy soon," she said, unable to help but lightly laugh as the kid pouted a little at her teasing.

Finally they had reached the front door of her little apartment. And Sakaki almost sighed in relief though oddly the two idiots who had been following them. Some escort and it's not like she needed one anyways.

"Alright Hatori say goodbye to Dynamite and Red Roit," she said looking down at the kid though she didn't expect him to let go of her hand and throw himself at Kirishima's legs.

"Hatori!" She tried not to squeak as she watched, surprised by the boy's actions. Then again she probably shouldn't have been surprised the kid loved the red head and seeing how she was on friendly terms with the hero's then he probably felt he could be too.

"It's okay," Kirishima said, flashing her a warm smile as he was patting the kid's head who had attempted to wrap himself around the man's legs even though the kid was barely taller than kneecap height to the redhead. The mumbles of the kids good night and that he better see Red Riot tomorrow after school could just barely be heard.

"Hey, what about me!" Oh that was a surprise watching Bakugou nearly pouting as he watched the kid finally detach himself from Kirishima to do the same to Bakugou. Oh was that a blush that was sprinkling the blondes cheeks. Both Kirishima and Sakaki had to bite their tongues and not laugh knowing the blonde would blow up if they did. Though still Sakaki couldn't help the warm soft smile as she watched the kid finally untangle himself from the blonde's legs. It truly made her omega want to purr watching the two men treating the little boy so nicely. Though Hatori wasn't her son she still cared for him like he was and that only pleased her omega even more as she watched the two men wish the boy a good night before the two turned their attention to her. Kirishima gave her a wave and wished her a good night while Bakugou just gave a grunt and a nod of his head.

"Good night. Come along Hatori," she said, smiling down at the kid before he bounced back over to take her hand as the two headed into the lobby of her apartment and headed up the stairs of her apartment. With that Sakaki enjoyed her evening. A late dinner and a good bath later she enjoyed watching some kids movie with Hatori curled up with her in her bed before the two passed out together. She would probably never admit it but the comfort the kid brought to her omega really drove the thought in the back of her mind that she had given up having a family to be a hero. At times it made her omega sad, but when she had those days she just remembered the little boy curled up beside her. She could babysit him any time she wanted she knew that and it's what kept her omega happy as she continued to be a hero.

The morning came too fast before Sakaki's alarms were blasting, waking her and the little boy beside her before the two got up. The morning was a typical routine of getting dressed, eating some breakfast and then taking a train with Hatori as she took him to school before she could head to work. She had to admit watching the look on the principal's face when she informed them that Red Riot would be picking up Hatori was rather entertaining. Luckily the school didn't even question the fact someone else would be picking the kid up. After all when one hero says another will be doing it no one questions the hero's. It was odd but she wasn't about to think twice about it before she wished Hatori a good day before she headed for the train to head to work trying to take the fastest route knowing Bakugou was still probably going to complain as she reached the agency a little later than normal but it wasn't even half an hour later.

"Good morning," Sakaki greets the beta at the front desk who flashes her a wide grin before she continues past the woman and towards the head office of the two idiots she was slowly growing to enjoy the company of.

"Good morning," Sakaki called out as she just walked into the office to find both men talking. They paused for a second to turn to look at the dark haired woman as she walked into the office.

"Good morning Sakaki," Kirishima said, greeting her back with a wide smile while Bakugou just gave a simple grunt in acknowledgement.

"About time! Took you long enough," Of course that was how the angry blonde greeted her. She simply rolled her eyes, growing quickly accustomed to the blonde's rough words not allowing them to get to her.

"And a good morning to you too Bakugou," She said simply to the blonde who only growled at her. Of course poor Kirishima was trying to calm his friend who was growling at the woman as he was irritated with her that she didn't feed into his explosive greeting.

"Whatever, let's just get going," The blonde growls as he starts to stomp out of the office just expecting the dark haired woman to follow after him.

"What crawled up his ass?" She asked softly as she looked over at the redhead who shrugged his shoulders. Okay that was true Kirishima had a feeling he suspected the blonde was a pent up ball of stress. But he wasn't about to voice that thought to the poor woman that was now stuck spending the day with the explosive blonde. With that the dark haired woman simply shrugged her own shoulders before an explosive yell from the lobby had her chuckle softly to herself before she gave the man beside her a soft wave and she started jogging towards the lobby.

"Oh calm down Boom Boom boy I'm coming," She called out as the angry blonde came into view before she slowed down. Of course she was greeted with the blonde's top lip curled up flashing his fangs at her. Her omega wanted to submit and apologize and please the man. But instead she pushed the feeling down and squared her shoulders at him. Sakaki bit her tongue even though she wanted to tease the man and tell him to go get laid. Maybe that would make him less grumpy. But she had a feeling he wouldn't find her teasing joke as funny as she would have. So she simply rolled her eyes at him before the two stormed out of the agency and headed to spend the day on a roof once again watching the warehouse for the head of the little villain crew that was selling and distributing the quirk enhancing drugs.

The day was slow and boring after all Sakaki was not used to sitting around and probably never would be good at it. Though it felt like Bakugou was struggling more than usual with sitting still as she watched his muscles tense, he was shifting around a lot. And surprisingly she noticed pheromone patches sitting on his neck and she bet under his gauntlets where scent patches as well. She wanted to ask him about it but maybe it was a safety measure. After all, the blonde was even more short tempered than normally and the last thing they needed was someone scenting the idiot's strong pheromones. Or at least that's the explanation she could come up with inside her mind that made sense.

By the time their shift ended both bodies seemed far too happy and eager to head back to the agency and be done with their long shift. Or maybe it was the thought that tomorrow the two idiots would be picking up Sakaki and Hatori to go for a hike and picnic. That thought brought new strength and excitement to Sakaki. She wondered if it did the same for the blonde beside her as they walked back to the agency. Did the guys actually want to spend the day with her and some kid? She couldn't deny a part of her fears they didn't want to and that saddened the omega in her brain. But she tried not to think about that. After all Kirishima may fake being nice that way but she knew that at least the blonde beside her would not. That was oddly such a warm feeling knowing the blonde would not do anything he wouldn't want to willingly do. And if he was forced to do something he didn't want to do he could throw a fit. He clearly wasn't doing that so did the blonde really want to spend the day tomorrow with her? She nearly started to purr as she walked beside him.

"Are you fucking purring?" The blonde bluntly asked after he had noticed the low soft sound. At first he hadn't noticed it was coming from her. But the sound oddly pleased his inner alpha for some odd reason. Why was it that noticing the woman beside him was so happy she was purring made him feel so happy? It was almost annoying how his inner alpha had so much control when he wasn't paying attention.

"So what if I am?" She asked not even denying it nor trying to hide the soft low sound.

"Well it's annoying," he growled at her. But of course she didn't let his growl bother her as her soft purring continued almost like a little hum.

"Oh well you'll live," she nearly purred the words at him. Which only irritated him more. Though it was the fact that he was living the sound so much that it irritated him.

"What the fuck has you so happy?" He barked at her as she glanced over at him.

"Just looking forward to the weekend with Hatori," she said, not admitting it was the thought of spending it with the two men as well that made her so happy. Bakugou looked skeptical and yet he surprised her as he bit his tongue and actually didn't say anything else to her. Nor did he question if it was spending the next day with him and Kirishima that had also added to the woman's happy mood. Instead he remained quiet listening to her purring hum that came from the woman as they walked back to the agency to be greeted with Kirishima hanging out with Hatori.
