•Chapter Twenty-seven•
I looked at her as she wipes her nose with the back of her hand. She shivered , sneeze and shivered once again.
It was a fucked up scene. Right after she rejected the soup, she decided to go to sleep. Well, that is, if she can.
I'm just here, sitting, watching her as she sneeze and fucking shiver. She looks like mentally ill, when she is just having a cold.
"M-mom...." I heard her croak, her voice sounding like she didn't drank water for years. "Dad... W-where are you?"
I think she is having her dreams again. I never sleep, since I was killed by that fucking moron. I'll be lying if I say I wasn't scared when I fell into darkness, which was death.
"Lucinda, you're having a dream."
She didn't wake up, she just keep mumbling about her mom and dad. What the hell is going on with her? Is she turning crazy? Why does she keep mumbling things in her sleep? Can't I have a peaceful night for once?
"Lucinda, wake up!" I shook her arm and she stirred, she frowned and her eyes opened. I let out a small sigh of relief, I was kinda scared about this, being with her. God knows what she is up to.
"W-what?" She murmurs, rubbing her eyes, and then her nose. She sat up and looked at me. Her blue-gray eyes kinda mesmerizing. Fuck, I shouldn't fall for this kind of witchcraft she is trying to pull on me.
I looked away, "Are you, alright? You kinda got, a dream or something. You started mumbling things in your sleep." I spoke.
I heard her inhale sharply. "D-did I?" She asks, this made me turn towards her and nod. "Yeah, you did." I answered.

"I-I didn't! That's kinda impossible...."
"Yes you did, I heard you."
She shakes her head and leaned on the pillows before rubbing her temple. She closed her eyes before sighing heavily.
"What did I say? In my sleep." She asks.
"About your mom and dad, you were kinda asking where were they." I answered, she blushed and buried her face in her hands.
Fuck, this is the first time I saw her blush. And it was fucking cut- Stop! That is not right to think about Lucinda like that. She's my victim whom I have yet to kill. But I can't kill her yet, I still have to use her to drive away the other ghost.
"Whatever I said, forget about it." She suddenly snaps and covered her body with the ugly white sheets.
I shook my head and stood up from sitting on the bed. I walked to the fireplace to add another firewood. That was when I heard her cracked voice that made my eyes went wide from shock.
"Harry, c-can you sleep with me?"
I turn towards her and smirked, "Why should I? Tell me the reason Lucinda.''
I heard her sigh under the sheets and she lifted it up to reveal her face, her red nose and tired eyes. "I admit it, I had a nightmare. I can't sleep."
I sighed, "Fine." I grumbled and layed beside her shivering body, I touched her arm and she was freezing. I wrap the sheets around her tighter and her eyes closed in an instant.
I had watched her sleep countless nights in the house, she never looked this peaceful. She always frown in her sleep or sometimes, heard her cry to sleep.
Her steady breathing matched the heart beat of her heart, and suddenly the windows opened wide, letting cold air inside. She shivered, and I did what I should do but I just can't bring myself to do it, I wrap my arms around her fragile body, the body that I just keep hurting.
