Jimmy covered his mouth as he felt a wave of nausea hit him. He sat as still as he could and fought the wave but ended up losing. He got off the chair and ran to the bathroom, barely making it before emptying his stomach. He heaved and threw up again, his shoulders shaking and his back muscles tightening. He panted, waiting for the weird feeling to wash away but he knew it would come back, it always did.

After a couple minutes, the weird feeling washing away and letting Jimmy sit up. He reached out the flush the toilet but when he went to lift his arm, he lost all of his energy and fell back into the wall behind him. He winced, pain exploding quickly in his back and shoulders trickling down into his arms. He felt his eyelids get heavy, getting harder and harder to keep his eyes open.

What was happening to him? Was he dying? No, he couldn't be dying. He just couldn't. Unless....

His eyelids fluttered close and he tried to open them but couldn't, taking up too much energy he didn't have. He felt his muscles relax and his mind go blank as he drifted off to sleep.

Jimmy woke up with a start, the weird feeling coming again and before he could lean forward to empty the contents in the toilet, he opened his mouth and let the vomit trickling down his chin and land on his shirt and drenching his shorts. His legs got caked in the vomit and he felt the warm substance seek through his shirt.

Once vomiting stopped spewing out his mouth, Jimmy looked down at himself. He wrinkled his nose at the smell and felt his stomach churn. He gripped the side of the bathtub and pushed himself up, deciding to rinse himself off. Halfway up, he felt his head spin and the room around him spin too fast, black dots sprinkled in his vision. He felt his knees give out and his hips hit the toilet hard before he hit the ground. He groaned and watched the little black dots get bigger and bigger until the darkness swallow him, passing out.

He woke up and saw a figure looming over him. He could only make out the outline of their face, the rest of their face blurry. He blinked a couple of times before their face started to become more clearly. Chris.

"Hey." Chris whispered softly, threading his fingers through Jimmy's hair. Jimmy opened his mouth to speak but his voice gave out, his throat closing up. Jimmy breathed/sigh and looked up at Chris. Chris looked away from Jimmy and turned his head as he grabbed something. His hand that was in his hair traveled to the back of his head cupping it. He lifted a plastic cup up to his lips as he pushed his head up.

"Drink." Chris commanded gently, the cool liquid hitting Jimmy's bottom lip. He shivered and water trickling dow his chin and onto his shirt. He opened up his mouth a little and let the water flow into his mouth, only closing his mouth when it was full of water. He swallowed and he felt his throat stop throbbing of pain as the cool liquid coated his throat. His mouth didn't feel like a desert and his head became clearly. Chris tipped the cup towards Jimmy again but Jimmy refused, leaning his head back. Chris placed the cup back down onto the floor and let Jimmy rest his head onto his leg.

"What happened, Jimmy?" Chris asked, threading his fingers through his hair again. Jimmy groaned and turned his head so to not face Chris.

"I-I-I don't know." Jimmy stuttered, his stomach churning and cramping up, making Jimmy want to cry out. He whined and Chris rubbed his back gently.

"What's wrong?" Chris whispered. Jimmy's hand traveled to his stomach and rubbed it, hoping Chris would understand. Chris's hand traveled from his back to where Jimmy's stomach was and he rubbed it, his fingers brushing against Jimmy's. He slipped his hand underneath Jimmy's shirt and Jimmy let out an audible gasp as Chris's cold hand met Jimmy's warm stomach. Chris looked down at Jimmy and rubbed his stomach soothingly, the tight muscles loosing up. Jimmy almost groaned with relief but kept his mouth clamped shut, distracting himself by tracing shapes on Chris's flat stomach. He breathed out a sigh of relief when the muscles relaxed and his body was calm again.

"Feel better?" Chris asked, feeling the muscles relaxed again. Jimmy nodded and turned onto his back, looking up at Chris. Chris looked down at him and Jimmy raised his eyebrows, receiving a laugh from Chris. Jimmy tried to sit up and Chris helped sit up. Jimmy was still too weak and decided it was best just to keep resting on Chris's leg.

"You feeling okay?" Chris asked, his voice laced with concern. Jimmy nodded and yawned.

"Yeah, just too tried." Jimmy responded, closing his eyes.

"Want me to get you to the bed?" Chris asked, rubbing Jimmy's stomach again. Jimmy thought about it before nodding. Chris lifted Jimmy off of his legs and he squatted, putting his arms underneath Jimmy's upper back and knees. He lifted him up slowly, thankful that Jimmy's bed was only a couple of steps away.

"You're getting heavy." Chris muttered, making Jimmy laugh. He walked over to Jimmy's bed and placed him down onto the bed, groaning and stretching out his back. Jimmy opened his eyes and felt his cheeks get warm. Chris cocked his head as he let his arms drop to his sides, going over to him.m

"What's wrong?" Chris asked, placing his hands onto the edge of the mattress. Jimmy pointed down to his clothing that were caked with vomit.

"Can you help me change out of this?" Jimmy asked, feeling embarrassed for letting the vomit get onto him. Chris smiled and nodded, going over to Jimmy's dresser and grabbing a soft oversized t-shirt along with comfy pajama pants. He went back over to Jimmy and placed the clothes onto the bed.

"Want me to help you get dress or do you want to do it by yourself?" Chris asked, looming over Jimmy. He rubbed his eyes and shrugged his shoulders.

"Help me." Jimmy quietly said, averting his gaze anywhere but Chris's eyes. He smiled and grabbed the clothes, stripping him from his old ones and replacing them. He patted his chest when he was done and grabbed a soft, heavy blanket and draped it over Jimmy's body. Jimmy looked up at him while he shifted around trying to get comfy.

"Thank you." He quietly said and patted the space next to him. "Come lay with me. Please?" He mocked a pout, making Chris laugh at him. Jimmy knew all to well that he could get his way with Chris any day. Chris climbed into bed from the other side and laid on the opposite side of Jimmy. Jimmy pulled the blankets close to his chest and he nuzzled his face into it. Chris rested his head onto his arm as his head laid on his side looking at Jimmy. Jimmy looked over at Chris and caught Chris's stare. He raised his eyebrows, making Chris blush and look away. Jimmy grinned and closed his eyes, breathing out softly. Chris watched Jimmy's chest rise and fall with each breath he took before his eyes fluttered close.

Jimmy felt....off. He didn't feel like getting out of bed and refused to eat anything, complaining that his stomach hurt. He felt his stomach muscles tightened every now and then and he felt fatter than usual. He noticed some weight gain after three weeks of the strange day and has only been getting bigger and bigger with each passing week, even when he went on a diet. He noticed he has be craving weird things and felt nauseated when he wanted to eat his favorite foods. He was afraid to search it up on Google, knowing the results were probably just going to say he was going to die.

He sighed as he turned the T.V. off and carelessly threw the remote aside. He rubbed his stomach when he felt the muscles cramp up again, breathing out slowly. Chris exited out the bathroom just then and saw Jimmy rubbing his stomach.

"Again? Didn't you just have one?" Chris asked. He waited a minute before going over to Jimmy and placing his hand onto his shoulder. Jimmy inhaled sharply as his back muscles tightened and pain started to spread through his back up to his stomach. Not this bastard again. He whined and closed his eyes, biting his lip and feeling his stomach clenched up even tighter. Tears pricked the corners of his eyes and he shut them close, not wanting to cry in front Chris. Chris reacted immediately, rubbing Jimmy's stomach. He winced and took his hand off when Jimmy winced. The pain stopped abruptly, making Jimmy gasp and bit his inner cheek to not scream out. This was his sixth one in half an hour.

"Jimmy, you sure you don't want to go the hospital? What if you are dying?" Chris asked, shaking Jimmy's shoulder. Jimmy shook his head, refusing to go. He hated hospitals every since he was young when he saw his older brother hooked up to machines just to keep him alive. He was only five at the time and refuses to talk about it, only Chris knew some of the story.

"I'll go if this continues for more then three days." Jimmy mumbled, making Chris smile. This was all he could get out of him if he was feeling really bad.

"Alright. Whatcha you want to do?"

"I don't know. Help me up, would you?" Jimmy asked, putting his hands out. Chris nodded and grabbed onto Jimmy's hands gently, pulling him up from the bed. He winced then hissed, making Chris stop. Their hands separated and his hands instantly flew to his stomach and back, holding them and throwing his head back.

"I think I pulled something." He hissed, groaning and flopping back onto the bed. Chris cocked his head, gently getting onto the bed and crawling over to him. He sat on his knees and placed his hands where Jimmy's were, slipping them underneath and rubbing the areas. He then screamed, sending a jolt of shock through him. The scream turned into a chocked cry, making him put his hands onto his face, covering it from Chris's view.

"Jim, what's wrong?" Chris asked, still holding him in the same places. He gave a strangled cry, his legs twitching and Chris noticed the muscles under his hands tightened. He then noticed the bedsheets start to feel... wet. He looked at the bedsheets then at Jimmy.

"Did you pee on yourself?" Chris asked, getting cut off by a scream. The scream sounded of true raw pain, pain exploding in Jimmy like never before. He felt every muscle in his body tightened up all at once, the world before him spinning around. He could barely feel the touch of Chris's hands on him, his body loosing all sense of touch. His ears started to ring, Chris's voice being drone out. His vision started to come blurry and darken around the edges. He saw stars explode right in front of him and his mind go haze.

Chris watched as Jimmy started to pass out. He saw his legs stop twitching but his muscles stayed tight. Chris didn't know what to do, everything was happening so fast.

"Chris." Jimmy whispered before his eyelids drop close and his body go limp underneath his hands.

"No, no, no, no, no. Jimmy!" He screamed his name, hoping he would come back to consciousness but that never worked. He grabbed his phone and called 911.

"911, what's your emergency?"

Chris didn't know what to say, his tongue felt too big for his mouth and his throat dry up. His fingers shook as he kept his hand on Jimmy's limp body.

"Hello?"

Chris cleared his throat and choked up some words.

"My friend just passed out." Chris blurred out, his voice quivering just slightly. He heard tapping on the keyboard and a sniff.

"Okay sir, will you please tell me your address?"

Chris told them the address without hesitant. He heard more taps and clicks on a keyboard.

"Okay, we're sending a team over. I'm going to stay on the line with you, okay?"

Chris barley acknowledge the words the dispatcher said. He watched Jimmy's body and decided to check his pulse. He grabbed his wrist and put his fingers by his wrist, pushing down. He felt the slow beats underneath his fingertips, a wave of relief washed over him that his heart was still beating; not at the rate he wanted, but it was better than nothing. His fingers traveled to his forehead, brushing his bangs back that fell in his eyes and trying to keep sane while he waited.

He heard the wails of the sirens outside, releasing a sigh of relief.

"They're here." Chris told to no one though he hoped Jimmy heard. He heard the door open and quick heavy footsteps echo throughout the house. They grew louder and louder until he saw a two people enter the room with two other people behind them holding a stretcher. They went over to Jimmy and transferred his body onto the stretcher, strapping him in and wheeling him out the house. Chris got off the bed, leaving the tangled sheets behind him and following the crew. They wheeled Jimmy out into the front yard and we're loading him into the ambulance when Chris got outside.

"Sir, you can ride in the front of the ambulance. I can't let you be with the patient." One of the crew members told Chris. He nodded and once the doors were closed, Chris hopped into the passenger seat along with one of other crew members. They drove to the hospital fast, lights and sirens on the whole ride. Chris felt like he just blinked and there they were, pulling into the driveway of the emergency room. The crew member stopped the car and hopped out the car. He heard the doors open in the back, opening his door just in time to see them wheeling off Jimmy.

"Sir, can you please go wait in the waiting room please?" The crew member told him. Chris nodded and he went to sit in the waiting room. He was out of it, nothing felt real. He felt like he was dream, not a dream, a nightmare. His mind was hazy and he felt like he was trapped in his mind. He folded his fingers and hunched over, waiting for Jimmy.

Hours passed and still no sign of Jimmy. It was starting to make Chris anxious. Where was Jimmy? Was he okay? Was he still even alive? That thought made him shudder and he made a mental note to not think that unless it was actually happening. A nurse then walked out the big doors where they took Jimmy in and she started walking towards him. Chris sat up and watched her.

"Are you Mr. Donaldson's husband?" The nurse asked. Chris raised his eyebrows and shook his head no.

"I'm just a friend." Chris told the nurse. She nodded and looked at the doors behind her.

"Mr. Donaldson is okay. You may need to talk with him about this." She faced him again and pulled an envelope out of her coat. Chris got up and took the envelope, it crinkling in his hands. "Follow me." He followed her to the room where Jimmy was.

He walked in and saw a sight that made his heart heave and his stomach clench up. Jimmy was connected to wires, an oxygen tube coming out his noses and an IV tube connected to his arm. His face was stone cold and his eyes were unfocused, making it so unnerving. When he saw Chris though, his face softened and it look like it took a lot of energy he didn't have, but he smiled. Not a big but a small one, that was so soft and reassured him. His eyes were focused and were trained on Chris and only Chris.

"I'll leave you two be." The nurse quietly spoke, softly closing the door behind her. Jimmy looked at Chris and followed him as he made his way to him. He sat down on a chair close to Jimmy's bed and held his hand.

"Hey bud. How you feel?" Chris asked. Jimmy hummed a sigh and kept his eyes trained onto Chris's

"I feel terrible. Did I... did I... scare you?" His eyes filled with tears and his hand gripped onto Chris's. Chris shook his head but deep down, he knew he was lying. It sacred him to death when he saw Jimmy go limp, thinking he lost him forever. He couldn't live with that, that he could've done something to save him. Maybe bring him to the hospital when he was having bad cramps even though Jimmy would hate him.

"Oh, I have to...talk to you about this." Chris spoke, grabbing the envelope. He heard Jimmy suck in a breath, he knew what it meant. Sure, they were friends but sometimes they did some, more than friends things, like *cough cough* sleep with each other.

Jimmy reached out to grab the envelope, his hands shaking. He grabbed it and Chris let him take it. He carefully opened it, taking out the papers slowly. He held them and angled them so Chris could read it too.

"I lost the baby." Jimmy whispered. Chris looked at him and he saw tears build up in his eyes. Chris gasped and read over the page again, confirming that they did lose the baby. He looked at him again and brought the almost crying man into his arms.

"It's okay. Shh shh." Chris hushed, stroking his back.

"I wanted them. I didn't even know I had them in me, I've never dreamed of having kids but now that I've learned that I was pregnant, I want them." Jimmy's statement was broken but Chris understood. He breathed in sharply and squeezed Jimmy. He groaned then a sob exited out him as he could no longer hold it in. Chris patted his back, burying his chin into his hair.

"It's going to be okay. Shh shh." Chris hushed, Jimmy's sobs was still going strong though. Soon, after a couple minutes he started to quiet down. Not because he felt embarrassed but because his tears were running out.

"We'll try later." "Just not now." They finished each other's sentences, the comfort of each other calming them. It was an empty promise, they knew. They were just giving them false hope, to paint false pictures for the future, and to give up their hopes.
