When Ethan came out of his flashback, he was on the floor hyperventilating and sobbing. Blank appeared in front of him and helped Ethan calm down.
"Remember in and out in and out. Just breathe. I am here," Blank told Ethan in a soothing voice. Ethan tried to breathe in between the sobs, but it was so hard. It felt like he had just been punched in the chest.
With all of the flashbacks Ethan had been having, Blank had gotten pretty good at helping Ethan calm down.
Once Ethan got a hold of himself he looked around. There was a shattered plate on the ground with Sushi, his favorite meal, on it. He started to cry again as he realized what had happened. "Why can't I make it stop! He was right. I am nothing!" Ethan sobbed.
"No! No! Ethan, you are everything! You are perfect. He is the reason this keeps happening." Blank tried to reassure Ethan.
"Mark!" Ethan remembered, "I have to call him. His mom-"
"Ethan breathe. I know. You can't call him like this, or he will stress out even more."
"But I have to call him! I-"
"Ethan."
"You're right. I need to clam down." Ethan took some deep breathes and thought about what he needed to say. He wasn't sure how Mark would react to this. He knew Mark was strong, but maybe not this strong. Ethan didn't want Mark to do anything unreasonable.
As he calmed down, Ethan grabbed a broom and swept up his broken dinner. Blank sat on the counter and made sure Ethan did not freak out again. They both needed to be strong for Mark. They were the only people he had left.
The phone rang and Ethan held his breathe. "Will he even pick up?" he thought to himself. He needed Mark to pick up. He needed to see what was happening.

After almost 3 whole minutes of ringing, Mark finally picked up. His eyes were bloodshot and he looked as if he had been crying for hours.
"Mark, I heard what happened," Ethan sadly looked at his phone. "We are here for you."
"Ethan. I am so sorry. I- I-" Mark sobbed over the phone.
"Mark. It's okay. This is not your fault. You did nothing wrong," Ethan commented. Blank stood next to him.
"No. It is my fault. All of this is my fault! Dark, he came out," Mark admitted.
