"Ethan. I am so sorry. I- I-" Mark sobbed over the phone.
"Mark. It's okay. This is not your fault. You did nothing wrong," Ethan commented. Blank stood next to him.
"No. It is my fault. All of this is my fault! Dark. He came out," Mark admitted.
Ethan was shocked. He thought Dark was gone. "Mark. I am going to book a plan ticket. I am coming to you."
"No! Ethan! You can't. This is what he wants. He wants to torture you again. You can't come. He is getting powerful. Ethan, I have to go. Please, promise me you will stay there."
"I promise." Ethan wasn't sure if he would break his promise or not. He knew going to Mark would endanger himself but he Mark needed him, and he needed Mark. They hung up and Ethan went to his room to think.
Ethan threw on his shoes and a jacket. He needed to take a walk to clear his mind and think of a plan. "Oh! I should grab Chica so she can do her business. Where did I leave her leash?" He walked around the house as Chica and Blank followed him.
"I know you two need each other, but I think you should stay here. Let things pass," Blank suggested.
"You might be right, but Mark is in so much pain right now! I need to be there for him."
"Remember what Dr. Talin said. You need to take it easy. Your mental state is not good right now."
Just as Ethan found Chica's leash in his room, he heard a clang from downstairs. "Blank, did you hear that?"
"Yeah." The three amigos walked downstairs to check it out.
"There is nothing here," Ethan pointed out.

"Yes there is. I can feel something," Blank looked around cautiously.
"I am sure it was nothing." Ethan sighed. "Oh! I can't forget to take my medication." Ethan looked around and found it on the living room coffee table. "I swear I put this on the counter yesterday. Ugh! I must be going insane." Ethan grabbed two pills and swallowed them. "Well, I will see you in a little bit," Ethan said, heading out the door with Chica.
As he was walking down the street, he started feeling dizzy. He tried to focus his vision to see where he was so he could go home and sleep, but he couldn't make anything out. The world around him started spinning and getting dark. He felt himself slide down onto the side walk. He felt so tired he could barely keep his eyes open.
"I'm back," a familiar voice rang in Ethan's ear as everything went black.
