Chuck and Bomb both walked back to the village, now feeling hopeful. As they both entered the village Judge Peckinpah turned around with surprise and stormed over towards them. Bomb noticed him coming closer and prepared to defend Chuck.
"Sir Chuck!"
The judge startled the dazed Chuck, stopping right in front of them with a tall posture. Peckinpah stared at Chuck with suspenseful eyes when his posture fell forward.
"I'm sorry."
He apologized, taking both Bomb and Chuck off guard.
"No one hasn't seen the eggs anywhere. I was foolish to dismiss your concerns. Please let me help you build your boat."
Peckinpah offered with Chucks eyes widening with surprise and glee.
"Actually Judge, we have another idea as to how to save Red- and those eggs."
Chuck turned around with all the citizens standing around is suspense and gestured towards something in the forest to come forward. Bomb and Chuck smiled as Mighty Eagle soon brushed past the trees that were just an inch shorter from him. Standing up entirely, everyone could perfectly see that is was the fairytale they have known about since childhood.
"Is that... That can't be"-
Judge Peckinpah spoke, mumbling his words as he tried to think of the right thing to say.
"Yep- Everyone, this is Mighty Eagle."
Everyone stood in shock as Mighty Eagle gave a friendly wave, making an elderly person pass out in shock and most people to murmur between one another.
Red scoffed at Leonards silence.
"I can't believe... I can't believe you tricked me with your sappy little speech."
"Red I"-
"Was this your plan all along?! steal the eggs and try to sway me so i wouldn't suspect it?! is that what you talking to that guard about?"
"Red it's not like that."

"It's too late, people like you make me sick."
Red ended, turning around and running after the soldier holding the egg. Once Red reached the short soldier, he snatched the egg off, surprising the guard and storming off while he carefully held onto the egg. Red ran through many different corridors, unsure whether he was being followed or not. he stopped questioning which way to go when he could suddenly hear footsteps slowly approach him.
Red, paranoid that it was Leonard, he opened the nearest door and hid inside, waiting for the footsteps to pass. He could hear chattering get louder and louder, then slowly become an echo into nothingness. Red took a sigh of relief before finally seeing the room he was hiding in. it was small and only had a large painting on the wall in front of him. it almost resembled those cavemen paintings as it seemed to tell an obvious story. The start showed a small boy being crowned while staring at two gravestones. next was him growing up to be a larger man, resembling Leonard a lot, one was of Bird Island, then Red with the man, hugging in front of a sunset, Red leaving with an Eagle and one that shook Red was him and the man together holding hands as they shared very similar crowns. So much more was painted on there but that was what Red had mostly seen before a voice interrupted him.
"It predicted you'd find it."
Red jumped back, holding the egg closer to his chest. Leonard had his hands in his pocket and his eyes were calm as he stepped closer to the mural.
"What predicted what?"
"This. It has been with my family for generations and has been able to predict everything with such accuracy, it is sometimes terrifying."

Leonard added, brushing his hand over the paint and glancing over at the first painting of the young boy.
"I sometimes wish it wasn't always right."
"You really believe a painting? I'm not dumb, this still won't change my mind."
Red kept on, brushing off Leonards words.
"It knew you wouldn't, i understand you're upset, but please believe me i only took the eggs because the painting told me to."
"Oh? if the painting told you to jump off a bridge would you?"
"If it was to be with you, then yes."
Leonard responded, stepping closer to Red with the most sincerest smile Red had ever seen, causing him to freeze as Leonard came closer.
"You're lying... you don't actually care about me."
Red denied, finally moving away, glaring at the heartbroken Leonard.
"That isn't true"-
"Yes it is! stop lying!"
Red shouted. his voice slightly breaking.
"No one cares about me, not when i was younger and definitely not now..."
"Red..."
Leonard lent out a hand, wanting to hug the poor soul but was pushed back by a sudden shake of the boat. Red had also felt it, holding onto the egg even tighter now. A soldier rushed inside, seemingly knowing that Leonard was in there.
"Sire! the giant Eagle has arrived!"
The soldier announced with Leonard looking back at the painting of the Eagle taking Red away from him. Leonard just gestured to soldier accepting the predictions were correct. Red was still confused about who the 'eagle' might be but Leonard quickly faced Red, not trying to step closer to Red.
"I won't try to stop you from leaving, I'm not that type of person."
Red saw the sadness in Leonards eyes but shook any sympathy away and ran back out the door. A few soldiers recognised Red and some even gestured and guided Red along, making Red wonder if everyone there knew about those predictions Leonard had talked about. The soldiers stopped behind a door, allowing Red to step in front of it.
"The rest of the eggs are outside in a net."
One soldier informed as Red walked outside to see a large figure in front of him, covering the bright sunlight. From behind the large figure appeared two smaller ones, with one of them racing towards him and hugging him tightly. once he looked the person did he notice it was Chuck.
"You're alive! I'm so happy to see you Red!"
"You came for me?"
Red asked as Chuck and Bomb hopped off Mighty Eagles back and ran over to Red, hugging him tightly.
"Of course we did!"
Chuck pulled Red towards the large figure, who Red realised was Mighty Eagle, the real Mighty Eagle.
"We'll explain everything when we get back home."
"Yeah, that'll be nice."
Red admired, finally dreaming of going home.
"Oh! the rest of the eggs are..."
Red looked around for that net, the soldier was talking about and quickly spotted it, pointing it out the Chuck and Bomb.
"Over there! Don't forget them."
Mighty Eagle began flying up and grabbed the heavy bag with his bird-like feet, clutching it under his claws. Then soon flying away with Leonard left on the ship to watch his little red feather slowly disappear.

This is my third novel on Royal Road, the first being "Beyond the Horizon's Eye", and the second being "The Dawnfire Archives". This story is something of a test in a new genre, that of CardLIT. We'll see how well it succeeds as the story continues. It takes place in a different setting than my other tales, with an entirely new cast of characters. It does, however, contain several ties between the stories. Average post between 1000 - 3000 words.
