Red looked at Leonard with such meaning that he could never ever express with anyone else.
"Leonard, i-i... i do wanna see the sunset with you."
Leonards eyes glistened with joy and his heart burning inside. Leonard let go of Reds hands and pulled him closer, giving him a tight bear hug. Red hugged back, burying his face into Leonards chest.
"I'm so happy you feel the same".
Leonard sounded to almost be crying, hopefully with tears of joys. Red stayed in Leonards embrace for what felt like for forever until he was eventually pulled back and saw Leonards cheerful smile. Red couldn't help but smile back, feeling the tears well up. Red hid his face as he wiped away his tears. Leonard cupped his hand around Reds cheek and pulled it up to see Reds teary face. Wiping away his tears with his thumb as Red gently pressed against his hand. Red looked up at the now night sky.
"The stars looks so beautiful."
"Not as beautiful as you are."
Leonard complimented, pulling Red closer and leaning closer down towards him. Red began to blush as he leaned closer and kissed Leonard passionately. Red blinked his eyes, feeling the warm sun hit his face. He could feel his hand touch something soft, and comforting. He looked up to see Leonard who was also waking up.
"Oh you finally waking up, my little feather."
Red shyly giggled as he snuggled next to the soft man. Resting his face against Leonards chest.
"Maybe, i want to stay like this forever."
Leonard hugged him back feeling his soft light brown hair touch against his lips. He passionately kissed Reds head, holding him closer and feeling like be nevet wanted to let him go.
"I love you."
Leonard whispered his head still rested in Reds head as Red looked up at him with his big tired confused eyes.

"What did you say?"
Leonard just smiled sweetly. Grabbing Reds cheeks and pulling him closer, kissing him gently. Red held onto Leonards hand, closing his eyes and feeling Leonards comforting touch.
"Sir- Uuh."
A soldier suddenly burst through Leonards room door, suddenly stopping when he noticed Leonard lying down with Red. Leonard sits up more professionally as Red peeked through.
"Um sorry for the disturbance your highness..."
The smaller soldier apologized, slightly bowing.
"Highness? Wait you're a king?"
Red asked, dumbfounded. Leonard laughed surprised it took him so long, giving a small kiss on his small forehead and walking towards the soldier. Both Leonard and the soldier walked outside, closing the door behind him and leaving Red awkwardly sitting on Leonards bed. They had been talking for awhile it seemed and Red was slowly becoming more and more curious as to what they were saying. Red crepted closer towards the door, laying his ear it. It was soft and mumbles but Red could still make out their conversation.
"I don't care what it says, just get them out of here! It's an old script anyways"-
"But it has been correct about everything- about your future hus"-
"I know! But that doesn't mean it'll always be right. I'll make sure he doesn't leave- so just get them out of here! and don't waste my morning like this again..."
Leonard got louder and louder towards the end, making Red slightly terrified of Leonards anger. 'Make sure who doesn't leave?' Red speculated their conversation making no sense. The door in front of Red slowly opened back, pushing Red backwards as Leonard calmly entered again, catching eye contact with Red.
"Oh... um i-i was just uum."
Red began to stutter as his eyes bounced around the floor. Leonard walked closer ridding the space between them. Opening his arms as Reds heartbeat began to beat faster. Leonard then wrapped his arms Red, holding him tight. Red froze for a moment, slowly placing his hands on Leonards back.

"I never want to lose you..."
Leonard whispered, his voice going rasp, his grip slowly tightening.
"I-i don't want to lose you too..."
Red responded, holding Leonard as well. They stood in place for a long time. Leonard never showed any sign of letting go. Then suddenly.
"Alright! How about we go have something for breakfast?"
Leonard pushed Red away, holding onto his shoulders.
"Oh, sure."
Leonard smiled happily, grabbing onto Reds nervous hand. Red followed Leonard through the big hallways, watching all the other small people walk by.
"So why did you never tell me you were a king?"
Red questioned, slightly feeling betrayed by the fact Leonard kept this from him.
"It never really came up and I didn't want you to feel that you had to be all courteous and treat me as a king all the time."
Red let go of his sour feeling, believing Leonard and understanding his side.
"that makes sense, it's still pretty cool how you are a king."
Red still admired the idea of being around royalty like he was some special person from those stories about a poor person marrying a king or rich person. They always seemed fake or just a nice self-insert, everyone dreams of, and plus Leonard never seemed like those stereotypical king or rich guy, wearing fancy jewellery and having servants do everything for him. Most of the time he is literally just wearing a green singlet. Red still liked Leonard though, he loved him, just for being him. Red grabbed onto Leonard big comforting hand as he memorised the different corridors and rooms they past.
Red kept looking around noticing all the interestingly weird stuff that was stored on his boat. Plungers, fancy hats that you would only wear for crazy outfits, pipes and even random bouncy balls. Red peeked through each room. Red also watched all the small soldiers carrying funny items as they passed them and saw something he quite didn't expect pass him. he saw a soldier, holding an obvious blue egg walk right past him non chalantly and it seemed Leonard didn't even notice the soldier either. Red let go of Leonards hand and stopped to turn back to the solider. Leonard felt Reds hand disappear and stopped as well, turning around to see Red looking behind him.
"Red? are you okay?"
Leonard asked, walking to Red and looking at the direction he was so mesmerised in. That's when Leonard saw it and immediately stood frozen as Red turned to him with a mix of frustration and confusion.
"What was that- was that a birds egg?"
Red asked staring at Leonards hopeless eyes. Leonard didn't look back at him, instead faced away from him. Knowing what will happen, he confessed. He nodded his head as Reds shoulders drooped down in disappointment.
"You wouldn't understand, but I had to, believe me."
Leonard finally moved to face Red, leaning to hold his hand but Red pulled away.
"Why wouldn't I understand?"
Red asked, feeling his voice become raspy as his chest began to tighten. Leonard stayed quiet for a moment, thinking about his next response.

BODY&SHADOW
AN ILLUSTRATED NOVEL • UPDATES TUESDAY AND FRIDAY In a time before living memory, the King Dragon of the Void watched the world and realized there was a crack. He realized that humanity was destroying the rock upon which they lived; they leaked life’s code into the churning chaos. At first the change was imperceptible: nanites overtook microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, amoebas. Insects became increasingly inorganic; birds and lizards followed soon after. Even humans were infected by their own advances, cell by cell, till there was not a person left on earth who wasn’t at least part synthetic, the product of a prior generation’s carelessness. The world’s population was ravaged by mechanical viruses with no vaccines; they were mercilessly overtaken by bacteria that knew no death. Soon, most of the planet was empty and only a handful remained who remembered the hedonist realm they came from; only a few were left who remembered what the world looked like when their buildings touched the sky. The King Dragon of the Void watched the rock turn. He watched humans cower as the Old World fell down around them; watched their great monuments crumble into dusty ruins; watched their codes become precious, ancient gem memories forged under the crushing pressure of so many fallen stones. The world has spun many times around the sun since chaos swallowed man whole. It is a simpler time than the one that died out, but the people now are not immune to the folly of the people before. There is old code everywhere: in the water, in the air, in the trees. The heart of man has been replaced by power cores, many of which are hard-coded with preternatural abilities—when they die, an esoteric mountain sect collects their cores and stores them in their hollow mountain home to preserve the sanctity and dignity of human death. They’ve learned to harness artifacts of the old world, gemstones full of codes their nanite infused bodies can parse as spells imbuing their users with great power; they inlay them into their bodies, into their skins, connected to their cores by copper conduit and gold tracers; they dress themselves in tattoos to advertise their prowess; they battle for relics in arenas, fight for them in the open world wherever they are found. The King Dragon of the Void watches the rock turn and wonders: when will this hunger finally make the rock stop spinning? WELCOME TO FANXING CITY … Twenty-five years ago, Fanxing City and the surrounding lands were commanded by the mad King Zao Beiguan. For many years, the King hoarded wealth, artifacts, food; he demanded tribute from a people already taxed to the edges of their existence and expected they be happy with their circumstances. Noncompliance was often punished harshly, bodies displayed proudly on Fanxing’s streets as a warning, from the city gates to the Zao palace’s golden doors. The youths of several prominent clans came together to overthrow the tyrant and made names for themselves as legendary heroes across the land: Tian, Ren, Feng, Gui, Ma, and Zhenxi. Even wanderers from the Luanshi sect descended from Yunji mountain to aid the rebellion. When the dust settled after three years, Tian Yunyong ascended the throne of Fanxing and swore to honour his slain father’s memory, and has maintained Fanxing’s peace with generosity and mercy where fear and cruelty once reigned.

Kalon was born into the world of Ira, a world of magic and monsters, unfortunately for him he had no talent, authority or money. A boy so unlucky he had to sell himself into slavery to the corrupt, bigoted and unjust mages in order to clear his fathers debt. One day when Kalon is being hunted by said mages, he uncovers something, something great. A system. Follow Kalon on his quest to topple the corrupt mages. This is my first novel. Any issues please let me know I'm always up for some creative criticism. I'm trying to avoid info dumping and will expose aspects of the world as the story progresses. MC will not be the stagnant type, he will be subjected to many trials throughout the story and continue to change. If that sounds good to you, keep reading and enjoy. I plan to update as frequently as I'm able to.

In The Maw Of The Gods
Synopsis Lilly Harper was always the type to keep to herself. She struggled to make friendships and so, she simply opted not to. That was why moving to the coastal town of Wilham didn’t bother her. She wasn’t leaving anybody behind and she certainly didn’t expect to be making any friends any time soon. However, when she starts hearing about the school’s “Magic Club”—a group of weirdos who claim that magic is real, she can’t deny that she’s slightly intrigued. Then without warning, she suddenly finds herself wrapped up with them. And what if they aren’t crazy? What if magic is actually real? And what if it’s because of that magic that something more powerful than they could ever conceive of is drawn to Wilham? I plan to follow a release schedule of Tuesday/Friday. Average chapter length will be 4,000 to 6,000 words and I will be using multiple POV's quite often. Also to note, while I am flagging the story with content warnings, I am only doing so because there are specific moments where it will be needed. Overall, the story will be relatively tame and I plan to put extra warnings at the beginning of chapters that it applies to. Thank you to everybody who decides to give my story a chance and I hope you enjoy it!
