Y/N POV
After the huge alien retreat, the president, or as he said we should call him : Chewie, had arranged a ball again.
Same time, same place, but this time, without any alien disturbances.
I will come as Eddie's plus one.
But this time with another dress:
(You can choose which dress you'll want to wear!)
(BTW these pictures aren't mine!)
I was really nervous since Eddie was waiting inside for me.
I take a deep breath and shyly make my way into the big room.
Eddie's POV
I was talking with Sam and the president about how you can put the security of the country on highest level, to protect the people. I wear a nice tux, since, why not? It was a ball after all. Now I'm just waiting for Y/N to come and join us.
Suddenly Sam looks up and nudges the president.
-Dude... Sam says. What? Suddenly the whole place turns quiet. What was it that was so special. I turn around to look at the thing everyone was staring at.
SHE IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!
And then everything turns dark and I feel myself fall.
Y/N POV
I walk in and everyone turns to look at me in awe. Everyone except Eddie.
He turns around and looks straight at me. It was a walkway from me to Eddie, because I'm standing on the beginning of the red carpet. He looks at me like I'm a god, and he faints.
I look at him in shock as I hear small gasps.
"What just happened?" I think. Then I look to my side. A couple of metres away stands a cameraman and films everything. Oh yeah. I forgot that they have the whole thing live on TV.
They walk over to Eddie and film close to his face. Through all the mumbling I can hear Eddie chuckle slightly, and his face moving, but he didn't stand up.
Oh, I get it...

He was faking! I smile and giggle slightly.
Eddie's POV
I "wake up" and I see a camera by my face. I wiggle my eyebrows and chuckle, but then quickly hush the camera and close my eyes to make it looks like I didn't move.
Y/N POV
I walk towards Eddie, with the smile plastered to my face.
When I stand by Eddie the cameraman backs away and I sit down next to Eddie. Then I raise my arms.
-I will give him... the kiss of life!!! I say with a raised voice, making everyone hush down very quickly.
Then I bend down to Eddie's lips and hover there for a slight second before fully pressing my lips into his. The crowd goes crazy! They applause, and shout things, and whistle.
And he kisses back. It is sweet and cute, and I smile into the kiss. Eddie puts one hand on the back of my head, but not rough, but like he's afraid I'll break if he is to rough. I feel him slightly lift from the ground and we separate from the oh so sweet kiss.
I open my eyes, still smiling like a big goof. I see Eddie smile just as big as he leans on the floor, propping his body up on his elbow.
-You can be so childish at times, Eddie says. I smile even brighter, if that's even possible.
-Well, I say.
-I'll guess you just have to live with that, I say, and Eddie chuckles.
-I would love nothing more, he says, and the crowd goes crazy once again as our lips connect for the second time, in a shorter kiss.
I help him up on his feet as we begin to walk away, next to Sam and Ludlow.
-The kiss of life, huh? Where'd you get that from? Sam asks quietly.
-I don't know, I say and look at him.
-I guess I just have a very wild fantasy, I say and continue the night.

A couple of minutes and songs later:
-Goodnight ladies and gentlemen! The president goes up on the stage and says, and people applause.
-I hope you have enjoyed the night so far, but now comes a little extra, he continues. Some piano song begins to play in the background.
-Here's a little something for all the lovebirds out there, he says and goes of the stage. Some people applause, and some people goes up on the dance floor.
-Uh, Y/N? Eddie says from the chair next to me.
-Hmm? I respond, looking at him.
-Would you like to dance? he asks and holds out his hand. I smile.
-I'd love to, I say. Eddie takes my hand and jump down from the chair and leads me out on the dance floor.
Since he is so much shorter than me I have to pick him up and dance instead.
-Well, this is not what I had in mind, but I guess it works, Eddie says and I laugh.
-Well, I guess everything doesn't lead up to expectations all the time, I say.
Eddie chuckles.
-I guess it doesn't, Eddie says.
A couple of hours later still Y/N POV:
Since we were all going to be to tired to take a plane home, chewie had fixed rooms for us in a really fancy and grand hotel. Me and Eddie got a room with a queen sized bed, a pretty huge flat screen, and a big bathroom with a bathtub. He even said that he'll pay for room service.
Me and Eddie are just playing back tonight's happenings on TV.
I wear a huge shirt with some underwear, and Eddie is wearing boxers and a shirt.
We watch when I kissed Eddie, and the titles change to: "Girl revives arcader from unconsciousness with "the kiss of life"!"
And Eddie turns off the TV, and I lay down in the bed. I watch Eddie go towards me and jump up on the bed.
I turn to him.
-Hey, I say and look him in the eyes.
-Hey, he replies. It feels good to have him eye to eye. I smile.
-Pretty weird night, huh? I ask.
-hmm, Eddie agrees and closes his eyes.
-I'd like to do it all over again, I say and close my eyes for a couple of seconds, just to open them and see Eddie looking back at me.
-mmm, me too, Eddie says tiredly. His voice is deep and raspy, but not as a morning voice. He sounds sleepy and he closes his eyes tiredly.
-Tired now, are we? I ask teasingly. But I know that I am just as tired as him.
He hums again and kisses my forehead.
-You'll always be my girl, Eddie says.
-No way, who else's would I be? Pit bulls? I ask jokingly, once again.
Eddie puts his forehead on mine, and sighs.
-No. But I'm happy you choose to stay with me instead of someone else, Eddie says. Then he yawns. I smile and kisses the tip of his nose.
-I love you, I say and snuggle closer to Eddie. He chuckles and smiles tiredly.
-I love you too... my lady Lisa, Eddie says and puts one hand on my waist.
I smile.
-You know normal people call their girlfriends: babe, I say.
-Well... am I normal? Eddie asks while opening his eyes ever so slightly. When I don't answer he closes them again.
-The answers no, by the way, Eddie says.
-Well, if I'm your lady Lisa, you're my Ludlow, I say.
-As long as I can call you Lady Lisa, Eddie says.
-Of course you can, I say and smile again.
-Well then... Eddie says and kisses me, and then puts his forehead against mine once again.
-Goodnight lady Lisa, Eddie says and falls asleep. I smile, then I close my eyes and fall into a deep slumber.

The Cracks in the Labyrinth
Evoking the paranoid tension of Rosemary's Baby and the unnerving atmosphere of the cult horror film Jacob's Ladder, The Cracks in the Labyrinth is a disturbing psychological thriller set in present-day Caracas, where the government has devolved into a "democratic dictatorship"-a creepy suspense novel meant to challenge your deeper, subconscious fears of losing control. It consumed the sanity of an entire country...And it was not from this world. It couldn't have been. Whatever caused the incident known as "The Red Christmas" drove Venezuela into madness.Even ten years since it happened, none of the survivors of that night dare to attempt to make sense of it all, including Adam. Living ostracized to hide from the brutal way of life in Caracas, he's working tirelessly as an online writer to help his brother and sister flee the country. Now, as he's about to have enough money to take them to safety, he receives an email from his old girlfriend ... which is remarkable, considering she's been presumed dead for years. Adam tries to think nothing of the email or the broken video file attached to it. He convinces himself that it has to be a computer virus of some kind until he discovers something terrifying: the video might link his sister to the worst night of his life, the night his girlfriend went missing, the night of "The Red Christmas". Then he realizes this could be a threat; his sister's life could be in danger. As he starts to investigate who sent the video, Adam begins to uncover dark truths about his neighbors and finds evidence that there might be a larger conspiracy at play. The problem is that he's starting to suffer from hellish hallucinations that make him question what is real. Soon, the only clear thing to him is that someone doesn't want him to dig up the past. Will Adam be able to stay sane long enough to find out what really happened the night of "The Red Christmas"? Will he succeed in helping his family escape the country?
