A/N: Ah, hello! I am so incredibly sorry for such a super long update aha. I've just been going through a few things lately and slowly getting my shit-buckets together. Thank you for all the support and kind words! But, I'm back and ready to throw unexpected updates your way! Yays!
(Oh, and to my readers who live in the US...GOOD LUCK. I have no idea who's winning in the polls right now or who may already be the 'new' president now but, good luck no matter what aha. Loads of love. Xx)

Screaming.
Yelling.
Hatred.
None knew you but they seemed to hate your guts.
Having your house surrounded, you sighed to yourself, sinking into the pillow that cushioned your head. Sighing, you tried not to play towards the haunting words being yelled at your windows. So instead, you focused on nothing but the ceiling of your bedroom.
Nothing but the one night came to mind...the night where your life went from an already twisted disaster, to an even more twisted shit-show. The night that was the result of you getting fired from the only job you inhabited for the past few months. Yet, instead of trying to persuade in other jobs to help, you spoke out in rash terms and agreed to a shit-show.
An absolute shit-storm, you thought to yourself, staring at the patterns of the ceiling.
Did you regret the decision you made that night? No. No, you didn't regret a moment of it. What you did regret was how the decision you pulled to ruin your life was now starting to affect your family's life. Now, that's where I feel incredibly bad, you sighed out mentally, trying not to revisit the site of your parents struggling to move in and outside the house.
Your parents were worried for you and the house's safety. Having what felt like hundreds of people to be crowding around your streets and home was one thing, but to have police literally toppled over while trying to tame screaming girls and boys outside the windows was another thing. This was serious, and your parents realized that. But, throughout it all, even with the news that broke out regarding you and your messes, they blindly supported you in confusion.
Sighing internally, you wished for this not to affect your family. Please just leave my family alone, you mumbled internally, not wanting to focus on the shouts that still occurred outside on the streets near your lawn.
"How could you raise your child to do such a thing?"
"What terrible parents you are!"
"Have some dignity!"
"Why are you still supporting that criminal?!"
Yes. Now the world knew of your face. Everyone knew the face of the criminal Jungkook had spoken about in the press conference held by Bangtan months back.
I made the decision to reveal my face out so I could finally end my debt with Jae...
I'm finally free from him, but now all I struggle with is the rest of the world out to end me. Great. Yay, freedom at its finest peak, I see.
But don't get me wrong. I don't regret making this decision. Not even a little.
"...you can't seriously not regret this decision..." a voice spoke out softly from next to you.
Your jaw clenched as your anger grew within the very pit of your lungs. The very voice constantly poking at your ear wasn't helping. This voice...this same voice that had been bothering you the minute you had trapped yourself in the walls of your bedroom.

"Of course I regret it," you said through your teeth, ready to poke out eyes.
The voice beside you snorted, trying not to laugh while staring up at the ceiling along with you.
"Finally," it sighed out, sinking further into the pillow next to you, "you admit it."
You tried not to swear at the woman laying next to you, angry over her even being here but you tried to control your flocculating temper while memorizing the points on the ceiling all over again.
"Y/N?"
You ignored her.
She sighed.
"Could you please just talked to me?" the voice tried again, wanting badly for you to just look over at her and speak like how you normally always did.
"I can't," you popped through your tight lips, "I find the walls of my room to be more interesting."
"Ouch."
"Good," you mumbled out, upper lip twitching before focusing on the posters along the side of one wall you had across your wall.
Silence all over again.
Surprisingly, this is exactly how the few weeks had gone down since the news broke out.
A lot of silence and anger from your claustrophobic self.
"I'm not here to explain myself, I ju—"
"You've been sleeping on my bedroom for three days and you've apologized repeatedly," you said a little softer now, flashing over the many times you tripped over the sleeping woman on the ground when you'd need to go use the bathroom in the middle of the night.
"Yes, I get that bu—"
"If you didn't come to explain, you would've left after the apology," you continued, "I told you I didn't accept your apology so you decided to stay...to stay and do what, huh?"
The woman pursed her lips, growing quiet.
You huffed in a breath. "Exactly my point," you mumbled, seeing right through her and her quietness, "you're here to explain so just admit it. You want to throw excuses at me."
"Okay."
"Okay..." you sighed out, feeling a little over heated in the cooped-up room.
I'm going to run insane stuck in here, you thought to yourself, knowing that being this angry over a little snort of laughter from the woman was a bad thing. Yup, I'm probably going to starve myself to death jailed in my own home.
"I am here to explain," the woman said softly.
"Yay, you've finally come to terms with the real reason you're bothering me," you falsely shot out, letting the bitterness eat away at your incredibly bored and angered soul, "Now leave."
"I'm sorry Y/N..."
"I can't forgive you Vee," you sighed out, voice dropping away the slight bitterness as you looked away from the posters and back at the ceiling.
Silence.
"...you lied to me," you said pained, eyes narrowing while continuing, "you lied to me and said you 'took care of the photos' Yoongi had taken...but instead, you somehow got the pictures from the man and made Yoongi believe he got them deleted from the man? You basically just stole a bunch of pictures I was trusting you to destroy and gave them to Jae as leverage against me."
Silence.
You swallowed the building lump in your throat, thinking about Yoongi and how you didn't believe him before. He had told you he had erased and gotten rid of all photos but you never believed him at all, instead, you trusted Vee's words. You trusted the woman that had pulled you out of almost every other obstacle in life, and trusted her to do the same with the incriminating pictures of you. But instead, she didn't. She gave them to Jae.

Sure, you made the decision over having them publicized so you didn't blame her for any of the aftermath outside your door...what I do blame her for is lying to me. She lied to me and broke my trust.
"I'm sor—"
"I know," you shot out, almost sick of hearing the same apologies for the last few days.
"I don't know what to say, I-I—"
"You want time to explain yourself, right?" you asked softly, slowly letting words escape you when registering what you were about to ask.
"Yes."
"...sure," you said gently, nodding a little as your head moved over your pillow.
You could practically see the awkwardness range off the beautiful woman laying far while next to you.
"Why not start with telling me why..." you piped out, eyes squinting further, "Tell me why you found lying to me to be the best thing. Explain that."
Silence.
You waited, having your ears ready to receive any information that was ready to be thrown your way.
"I..."
Vee struggled.
You waited, lips pursed and jaw still flexed.
"I've got a family of my own to protect," she let out softly, "...and in my case, paying off a little debt won't cut it. So yeah, I lied. I lied so my family wouldn't ever have to meet the possibility of Jae."
Your eyes softened, jaw loosening.
Eyes finally removing themselves from the ceiling and towards the woman that lay next to you, you found your heart to sink when seeing the slight glistening in her eyes.
You were the one apologizing now as all realization hit you in one go...
"I'm sorry," you said gently.
-
"I'm sorry," BangPD said lowly.
The man's eyes went over all the members that seemed to have their heads down and ducked, afraid to look over at the screens before them and witness all that was occurring in social media and news outlets. The last they wanted to see was more distraught-filled shots of your family trying to move into the house.
"I'm sorry this has lead to being this far of a deal," BangPD continued, "but all I ask is for you to let this news be. Eventually it'll die out and none will worry about her no longer."
"So we're just supposed to allow her and her family to be mobbed without speaking a word against it?" Jin asked confused, not understanding what they were being asked to do.
The typical 'think of the fans and the group' was placed onto Namjoon that sat somber in the corner of the room now. Many of the members had tried to speak up earlier, wanting to come clear to speak out and fix what they felt guilty for.
"I can't do that," a soft voice said out pained.
Everything was looked over at Jungkook who sat closely with Namjoon, head and eyes directed straight at the screen as he watched all the clips roll on repeat before him.
It was torture to see, almost haunting for him to wonder about all that had occurred that day and night. It all happened so fast. First, he remembered wanting to buy you a hat and gift it to you. The next thing he knew, he picked up a fight with you, said hurtful things and by night fall, your images were all around screens...all of it had hit the maknae like a rocket failing to surface into space. It all hit him hard and with disappointment.
It's all my fault.
Namjoon's eyes softened while looking over at the blankly expressed maknae that sat at his side.
"I agree with Jungkook," Namjoon said softly, "I understand that it would be best for the management to not get involved...but if we, the group, asked people to stop she coul—"
"No," BangPD said sternly, cutting Namjoon off before letting an irritated glare slip from his expression.
"We can't just sit back and wa—"
Hoseok was now cut off with a death glare stared over at his direction from their boss.
"You will listen to what I say," the man spoke out, feeling frustrated and overwhelmed over the situation, "You will all leave Y/N and this situation be. We hired Y/N due to Jungkook's request. Even after all the robberies, I let that happen because Jungkook and all of you thought we should pity her. But now that there's actual evidence to her crimes circulating, we must not get involved."
Yoongi's stomach felt sick. Those pictures...it's all my fault.
"I-I," Yoongi swallowed his saliva that built unnaturally in his mouth in that moment, "I disagreed to have Y/N near us in the beginning...I was the only one in the group to want Y/N jailed and imprisoned for everything."
No one spoke as Yoongi collected what he wanted to say.
"I was the enemy from day one, wanting to have Y/N gone," he explained, eyes narrowing as he glanced over at the screen before him, "But not now. Y/N deserves better than this, she doesn't des—"
BangPD sighed when seeing this wasn't headed where he wanted. Interrupting Yoongi the same he did with Hoseok, the man tried to look all in the eyes as he grew more annoyed over the topic.
"Boys," he said assertively, glancing down at each one of them, "I get why you're all upset. I get it, I do. But this isn't about Y/N anymore. You must realize that sometimes when you make the decision to break rules, consequences come to bite you into place. She chose to rob in the first place. If anything, she should be happy she isn't in prison."
Jungkook swallowed, eyes fixed and dazed over at the screen that played screaming fans over and over.
"Y/N doesn't deserve this..." he said softly, more to himself than to anyone else around him.
The maknae didn't feel any better when the leader of Bangtan whispered in agreement next to him. Sighing internally, the maknae continued to simply torture himself with the screen before himself, wishing and wanting to be there to shield your home from everyone. He just wanted people to leave you alone, and knowing he couldn't even voice that was slowly starting to register and eat away at him.
"...and none of you deserve the backlash you'd get if you sided with her and against the angry fans," BangPD added softly, more gently now as he moved to shut the screens that showcased the news before the boys.
Yoongi swallowed, eyes squinting shut.
He couldn't take it anymore. The constant guilt that ate away at him. This is my fault, all my fucking fault.
"I would."
Everyone looked over at Yoongi who spoke.
"I'd deserve it," Yoongi said through his teeth, glancing over at the screen that was just about to be shut before him before continuing, "...because I'm the reason this is happening."
Jungkook's brows furrowed at that. Feeling an unsettling feeling range within him while seeing his hyung so upset, the maknae felt the need to make it clear that it wasn't any one else's fault but his. He didn't know why he felt this way, but the maknae felt responsible for the occurrences of that night some how...it's no one's fault but mine.
"No, hyung I'm the—"
Yoongi cut Jungkook off. Straight and to the point, Yoongi let the truth that haunted him through the past couple of days spill past his lips.
"I had those pictures of Y/N taken."
