《Stuck With Him: Kai Parker》3

"Kai?" I called, shutting the door after I entered the door. I kicked off my shoes and set Zeke on the sofa. I noticed that as usual, he didn't wash up his dishes. I rolled my eyes and jogged upstairs. "Kai, you still alive?"
"Kai." I repeated but this time quieter when I reached his bedroom. I slowly opened his bedroom door, peeking through a gap and noticed he was asleep.
"Cute." I couldn't help but say with a small smile. Kai always seemed at peace when he slept.
I reminded myself, referring to our argument earlier. Shaking my head, I closed the door again before going to my own bedroom.
While in there, I changed into my pyjamas and re-grabbed up my hair into a ponytail. I quickly brushed my teeth and face before jumping into my bed.
I stared up at the ceiling, the blankets covering my entire body. I tried to fall asleep but I felt really guilty about my argument with Kai. I caused it since I broke a plate and displaced my anger at Kai, letting many hurtful things become thrown between him and I.
"Just sleep, Riley." I mumbled, closing my eyes as I shifted in my sleeping position. Yet I couldn't, no matter how much I tried.
I laid back on my back staring up the white celling, I let out a deep breath. "Go and apologise."
"But he's asleep and he'll make fun over me." I reminded myself.
I sighed, shaking my head. "Just go."
Tapping my chin, I hesitate. "He'll be mad that I woke him."
A frustrated huff let my lips. "Just go, if you don't he'll be mad in the morning."
"But-"
"Just go!"
"Fine, bossy."
"That's it, I'm officially insane." I concluded, climbing out of my bed and tiptoeing to Kai's room.
Biting my lip, I creaked open the door and stepped over to him. He was fast sleep, his mouth slightly open. "Kai." I whispered, slightly shaking his arm. "Kai." I repeated a little louder.
Kai groaned in annoyance, rolling over to his back and his eyes opened. I couldn't stop myself from discreetly checking out his bare chest.
"What the hell do you want, Ri?" His voice stopped my sinful thoughts and I looked back at his face. He rubbed his eyes and looked at me. "I need beauty sleep."
I fiddled with my fingers. "I wanted to apologise for earlier."
"Go on then." He raised his eyebrows at me.
I took a deep breath and mumbled. "Sorry."
He shook his head. "What was that?"
I rolled my eyes. "Sorry."
Kai smirked. "Sorry what?"
"Sorry." I paused and copied his smirk. "Malachai."
He shot me a glare and I stuck out my tongue. "Apology not accept, Ri."
I pouted. "Fine. I'm sorry Kai."
Kai replaced his glare with a grin and nodded. "That's what I thought." Rolling my eyes at him, I sat down at the end of his bed. "Did I say you could sit on my bed?"

"Did I say you could move in with me?" I fired back. "This is my house."
Kai shrugged. "Well this my room."
"Whatever." I stood up and adjusted my pyjamas. "Night, Malachai."
"Night, Ri." He said with a yawn. I smiled, going to leave the bedroom when he called my name again. "Ri."
I spun around on my heel, resting on the door. "Yellow."
Kai chuckled. "You're so strange."
"Ri, Ri." I heard Kai say and felt my body being shook. .
I gasped and my eyes opened. Kai gave me a weird look, I touched his arm that was held me. "I'm alive." I announced then realised I was on the floor. I glanced at Kai. "Woah, what happened?"
"You collapsed to the floor, I think you passed out for a minute." Kai explained. "Ri, falling for me already?"
I rolled my eyes with a grin. "Not the time, Malachai." I said and he laughed. "Help me."
Kai stood up and left me on the ground. "Why?"
"Because I'm amazing and you love me."
Kai just raised a brow with his arms folded. I frowned. "Please." I drew out with a pout. "Please Kai."
"Fine." Kai helped me to my feet and I thanked him. "So what actually happened Ri?"
I shrugged. "It was like some sort of flashback memory thing. It happens sometimes but this has to be the first in nearly two years."
Kai just stared at me. "Are you mentally unstable?"
I hummed and shrugged. "Aren't we all Malachai?"
"Touche." Kai agreed, leading me to his bed. I raised my eyebrows but said nothing.
I laid down in his bed and Kai climbed in beside me. "Quick question, is how get all girls into your bed?" I wondered, Kai laughed.
"Maybe." He winked, I snorted a laugh, laying on my back. Kai was also on his back and we stared at the ceiling.
"I'm sorry about earlier." I repeated, glancing at him and he looked at me. "It's just being here is driving me nuts."
Kai looked like he understood. "Don't worry, we can go insane together and I'm sorry too, Ri."
My eyebrows shot up. "Malachai Parker is apologising?" I teased and he just rolled his eyes. "Now I've seem everything."
"Don't get use to it, Ri." He said and I nudged his arm with a grin.
"Well my life is now complete." I yawned. "Well this is a first in two years." Kai and I had never shared a bed before, sometimes we fell asleep on one another but we never shared a bed.
Kai nodded. "It's a shame that you're tired, we could've had fun."
I punched his arm and Kai laughed. "Goodnight Malachai."
Kai smiled. "Ri, a man has needs."
"Goodnight Malachai." I simply repeated, turning over so my face faced him.
I heard him laugh. "Night Ri."

Waking up the next morning was a surprise. Once my eyes were open and adjusted to the light, I saw that Kai asleep on me.

His head resting on my chest and arms around my waist. To confess, he looked adorable.
I looked around the room, feeling a little confused on what to feel about this. I was most concerned with the fact that his legs were between mine, meaning I could feel the other Kai.
I decided to take a gamble and ran my hand through his hair ever so softly. He didn't move but instead embraced my touch. I rose a brow. "Well this is new."
After a while of toying with his hair and occasionally tapping his nose, I decided to unhook myself from Kai's grip and slide out of the bed. I let out a deep breath, fixing my hair.
I sat down at the end of the bed resting my head in my hands. "Ri." I glanced back and watched Kai slowly stir awake.
"Here." He looked at me and gave a small nod follower with a yawn. I smiled, joining him back in bed. "So what are we doing today?"
Kai shrugged, rubbing his eyes. "Whatever."
"Dibs not making breakfast." I quickly clarified with proud smile.
"Dibs not making dinner."
I huffed. "Ahh...touche."
We both laughed and climbed out of bed before going downstairs to the kitchen. I sat at the island while he went to the fridge.
"What are you making?" I wondered, drumming my fingertips on the island. I spotted the newspaper and reached over to grab it.
Kai glanced back at it. "Omelette."
"Yum." I smiled, flicking through the newspaper. I began to read an article when Kai suddenly snatched it away from me. I shot him a look. "Hey I was going to read that."
Kai shrugged, binning the paper and went back to cooking breakfast.
I thought, but chose not say anything else.
I sighed, admiring at Kai's back muscles that flexed while he cooked. My eyes traveled up and down, enjoying the view since he was very hot.
"I'm going to get changed." I told him, before I took up on his offer yesterday. Kai hummed in response and I walked up to my room.
I quickly took a shower and changed into a pair of tracksuits bottoms with a grey bralette and blue denim jacket.
I looked at myself in the mirror while I brushed out my hair, debating what would happen if Kai and I did sleep together.
In all honest, I'd give anything to relief some sexual frustration and not to mention that Kai was incredibly hot, yet I didn't want things to become awkward. Only one way to find out. I huffed at my sexual mind and just went back downstairs to the kitchen.
"I'm back." I said with a smile, as I strolled into the kitchen. Kai smiled, his gaze lingering on my chest. "Is breakfast ready?"
He nodded, holding two plates and I sat down in my seat, putting my jacket behind me on my seat. He sent me a wink while he set down my plate. I thanked him before digging in.
Kai sat down across from me at the table. "Told you I was a better cook." He boasted, obviously my expression after I took my first bite.
I scoffed. "Told you I was a better cook." I mimicked before eating another forkful. Kai just chuckled and dig into his own food.
"Take a picture it'll last longer." I said to Kai when I noticed him watch me. I smirked, looking at him straight in the eye.
"It might damage my camera."
I gasped, putting my hand over my heart. I paused a while then cursed. "I can't think of a smart enough comeback."
Kai's grin went wider knowing he'd won and we continued to eat our breakfast.
When we were both finished, I lost rock, paper, scissors so I washed up. While scrubbing a plate, I felt Kai's hands go on my waist from behind and I blushed, turning around.
"Hi." I waved, fighting my smile. "Do you want something?"
"I think you know what I want." I bit my lip and he smirked, moving closer to me to break the space between us. The tension in the air was thick. "Admit it, Ri."
I rose a brow and put my hand on his chest. lAdmit that you're in my personal space?"
Kai rolled his eyes but smirked. "You like me."
I chuckled. "Are you sure, you don't like me Malachai? You keep asking."
Kai sighed. "Admit it Ri." He leaned in, his face inches from mine. "You like me."
Instead of answering, I leaned in and just when he thought my lips would meet his, i gasped and moved back. Kai fused his eyebrows together in confusion. "What's wrong?"
"Just thought I saw a spider." I lied, wiping fake sweat from my forehead. I dryly chuckled. "It was just a button."
He grinned, leaning into my ear. "The taps still running." He whispered, before leaving me alone in the kitchen.
I gasped and spun around to see the water rising higher in the sink. My eyes widened and I hurried to switch off the taps and remove the plug so the water could flush. "Shit." I cursed, waving my hands like crazy.
And just like that, the water suddenly raised up.
My jaw dropped and I stumbled backwards, staring at what had just happened. The water was still in the air but it didn't seem frozen. I glanced at my hand which was in the air still.
"What the....." I dropped my hand and the water dropped also, disappearing down the drain. I jumped in surprise. "What the hell?" I walked over to the sink and looked down at the sink to see the plates from before.
Running my hand through my hair, I raised a brow and looked back at my hand. "Am I a mermaid?"
"Mermaid?" I jumped at Kai's voice and spun round.
He stared, but I shook my head, thinking of a lie. "No, no. I just burnt my hand with hot water and made me wonder if mermaids tan in hot water."
Kai gave me a strange look. "Weirdo."
I smiled. "Thanks."
