Twenty-fourth December.

That's today's date and the Anderson household has never been so busy.

Christmas carol played softly through the speakers that were around the house. Peter was in his study doing some work while the rest of the people of the household were at the dining table with a large enormous plate of cookies in front of us.

Every twenty-fourth December, Sarah handed out six sugar cookies to each and every person who came to attend the Christmas mass on the eve of Christmas.

The children which included Juliet as well were to wrap six Christmas themed cookies in plastic and that was decorated with either a red bow or a green bow.

Since I was there this year, Juliet got a new job and that was to add the "Merry Christmas " tag on each of the cookie packs. Very simple job to be honest.

Little James also had a job since he now could count from one to thirty. He stacked six cookies on the trays he had and that was then given to us by Juliet to pack.

I placed six cookies in the centre and joined the four corners of the plastic together at the top. Collecting all of it together and then did a quick two small clear tape around to so that it stays and then I add the pre-made bows around it.

It looked cute and I was extremely happy with it. Who knew I could do something like this.

"This looks like a mini Santa's workshop!" Sarah exclaims as she walked in with six mason jars of hot chocolate with whipped cream on the top. Along with the straw, there was a candy cane next to it.

"All that's missing are some elf hats." She placed each of the mason jars in front of us. "But you guys need to take a break now." She announces and we immediately reached out for our mason jars and sipped the drink. I heard Sarah chuckle and she and Juliet went into the kitchen.

"I could drink this forever." Jesse comments.

"Me too." Jessica agreed. "Do you know, Holly." I look at her. "Last year there was an assignment to write about one our favourite thing." she says.

"She wrote in two hundred words her love for chocolate." Jesse told me.

"Hey! You stole my words!" she punches Jesse's arm. "Ow! Sometimes I wonder who went for karate classes." he rubs his arm.

"You bunked half of it." Jessica folded her arms and sat back on her chair, Jasper and I laugh.

Sarah came back to the room with a tall large glass that had cake pops. "Had some cake crumbs so I thought why not make some cake pops and with Jessica's idea to add in some candy cane on them." she placed it in the middle of the table. We each reached for it and ate the delight.

"This family needs a bakery." I say as I ate the cake pop.

"That's an idea I've been suggesting for years." Jasper tells, I look at him and he smiles.

"We'll think of bakeries later now once you guys are done with your snack and drink, get back to the packing. We've only got a few more hours!" Sarah told us.

----

I looked in the mirror at myself standing in a red dress. I put my hair into an elegant bun and put necklace for my empty neck. Black pumps, stockings and an over coat.

"You look fab, Holly." I heard Emma say.

"I fell like I've over dressed for the mass." I look at her. "Oh darling, you look perfect for it. You saw what I'm wearing, yours is so much more Christmassy." I laugh.

"Listen to me now." she sounded a bit serious. "You're going to church, pray and ask him to show you the right way. I know you pray otherwise but It's Christmas Eve and miracles are possible." I smile.

"I will. Thank you Emma. If it weren't for you- " "Yeah yeah I know, you've told me that millions of times." I chuckle.

"Anyway, we'll talk tomorrow then." I nod and with that our facetime ended.

I placed my phone in the purse I am carrying and looked at myself once again. I switched of the lights of my room and stepped out of my room.

"Oh my gosh!" I heard Jessica exclaim as I walked into the living room. "Oh my gosh Holly! You look so amazing!" she exclaims, Jessica wore a black skater skirt with some leggings and a holiday themed sweater. "Thank you. You look adorable." I say with a smile.

"No, you look much better than I do. I can't wait to be as old as you or even Juliet." she spoke as she took as seat on couch. "It's not that great to be honest." I tell her. "Nothing can beat the time you are having right now." she sighs.

"And you don't have much of a wait, just a matter of years and you will be a proper teenager." I smile, she smiles as well.

In the next ten minutes, Jesse came with James to the living room and they got busy playing on the iPad. Juliet and Sarah came in a little later and they all looked perfect and beautiful in what they wore.

Peter and Jasper came in and we were to leave for church.

Juliet and James were traveling with Sarah and Peter. The twins begged to be in the car that Jasper was driving so they were in Jasper's car along with me. Jasper at a medium speed followed the other car which Peter was driving. The main street had a lot of cars but luckily there were no traffic jams that would delay us from reaching the church and Jasper kept the twins entertained with some covers done by new music artist for Christmas.

The church had lights lit everywhere which made the church look more beautiful. Jasper parked the car in an empty slot that he had found, we got out of the car and joined Sarah and then walked into the church. We found ourselves a bench and we sat down and waited for the pastor to begin the service.

---

The service ended half an hour back and it was probably one of the best and most beautiful sermons I have ever attended.

Everybody who came were greeting one another "Merry Christmas" and having a little chat. Jessica and Jesse found a couple of their friends, Juliet and Sarah spoke to a few ladies, Peter stood with his friends and Jasper was talking to some people who were I guess as old as I was.

I took this moment to go back into the church.

I found a seat for myself and sat down. After having a quick glance at the way the church was arranged for Christmas, I closed my eyes and took a deep breathe.

'It's been a while since I came here, I blame myself for it. I tend to stay up at night and wake up late. I do try to go with Emma whenever I can.' I softly begin to pray or you could say converse with God.

'I do not know why you changed my Winter this year but I need to thank you so much for giving me a different perspective of families, love and so much more."

'I'm not sure of one thing. Is my feelings for Jasper something that you have in my plan? God, because if it isn't then I wouldn't want to be heartbroken for just crushing on him. Show me, Lord, show me what was the main reason for you to have brought me here and show me if my feeling will be of any use.'

I slowly open my eyes and I looked at the picture of Jesus Christ in the alter.

"What are you doing here?" I turn my head to see Jasper standing there.

He simply rocked the shirt, tie, pants and that blazer. It looked too good on him.

"I uh" I look back at the alter. "I came in to pray. Are we leaving?" I ask.

"Yeah, I came in search of you because you were no where to be found." I got up and walked to where he was standing. "Sorry about that." he smiled.

"I uh, you um" He was about to say something but he doesn't complete it, instead found something else to say.

"Let's go home. We've got a lot to do once we reach home," he says and he started walking towards the door.

What does he mean by "a lot to do once we reach home?"

It's almost half past eleven!
