《Burn Archer》Nineteen- Heavy Cargo?

"Time to run!" I screamed as we jolted out of the house.

I grabbed Ivory and put her on my back and ran. The man raced, being just a couple of metres behind us, and we kept screaming. We ran through the fields for a few minutes and realised that Brian was slowing down. Suddenly the carnivorous plants started climbing up our feet and biting it. Ivory handed my knife from my backpack and I began cutting them off. I threw a knife to Tyson who didn't have anything for defending himself with.

"This field goes on for miles! And this man just doesn't seem to give up!" Eleanor screamed across to me.

"Yeah you know what?! I've had enough!"Tyson began running faster and all of a sudden, his clothes ripped off as he transformed into a beautiful, white wolf.

He stopped and bent down. "Get on me! All of you!"

I ran towards him and jumped on to his back in an instance followed by Ash and Eleanor. "Ivory , you okay there on my back?"

"Sure am!" she responded.

Ash clutched on to me tightly. "Oh great I'm riding an amateur."

I stroked his incredibly soft fur and grabbed on to it. The wolf got ready and suddenly took off.

We sharply cut through the wind. My face felt light and delicate, and for the first time since I got here, I felt unusually safe.

I turned my head to the right, it seemed as if we were zooming through the landscapes. We took a sudden stop in front of a river, Tyson put us off and jumped inside.

"Tyson!"

"You already care so much about me. Is that how humans work?" He smiled as he changed back into human.

"Shut up."

"Well I haven't taken a shower for a long time so that's what I'm going to do," he said as he splashed water on his face and the dirt wore off.

"I don't think any of us are bothered to do it," Eleanor said carelessly. We hurried away into the fields, a few metres from the river, and sat down in a little circle.

"Why are we sitting here in the first place Burn? Don't you wanna Earth as soon as possible?" Ash asked furiously.

Eleanor stared at me. "Yeah and that chase right there was intense!"

"What if that Tyson guy is evil or something?" Ash added. "We don't know a thing about him and we'll just let him tag along?"

"Ahem and you have a better idea?" I asked. "Did you guys even get around to asking Brian where we're supposed to go?!"

Ivory shook her head and looked down shamefully. "We forgot."

"So there we go!" I exclaimed. "There we have it, his son obviously knows where it is."

"So you're suggesting that we take along a wild animal with us who possibly has a psycho trying to hunt him down?"

"A good-looking wolf," I added. "Anyways he's a wolf and he can be quite a lot of help in our journey."

"We don't need his help, we're trained enough," Ash said through his gritted teeth.

I folded my arms. "Well we did need some form of transport"

"Has anyone noticed that he might be dashing and all, but he's still really dirty. It might spread germs," Ivory randomly added.

"Not anymore".

A voice from behind the trees boomed into our ears. "Can I please borrow some clothes? My clothes are pretty dirty."

"Oh great," Ash murmured as he pulled out a pair of clothes from his bag and tossed it into the bushes.

Tyson pulled it in and we heard some muffling noises. After a few moments, he stepped out and we all sat there with our mouths hanging open.

Tyson's hair was messy and he let his blonde hair fall over his face, and his skin looked perfectly clear. His jaw line was clearly visible after the dirt being washed off, but his ocean eyes finally seemed even on his skin tone.

Ash's clothes seemed to fit him well but he'd worn it a bit differently to how Ash would have worn it.

"I guess a shower gave you a kinda glow up?" Ivory asked.

He laughed but soon his expression turned serious. He turned around to look at me. "Why did you guys show up at the house anyway?"

Ash stepped in front of me and folded his arms. "We need to get to the Strawberry River. Can you get us there?"

"Um the river I just took a shower in, is the Strawberry"

We looked at each other in confusion. "So we made it?"

"Well technically it depends on the area of it," Ty added.

"The East of the Strawberry river."

He looked taken aback and stared at me because of my response. "That's why you came to that house because Brian's been there"

"Why do you call your dad by his name?" Ivory asked lifting an eyebrow.

His face turned cold and serious like a pale stone. "He isn't my dad anymore. If he has the audacity to murder his wife, and imprison his own child, then he isn't a father."

"How did he become psycho?"

"Straight forward much, Burn?" Eleanor murmured to me.

"I didn't mean to sound rude-"

"That brings us back to why I am not taking you guys there," Tyson shrugged.

"Wait why the hell not?" I could tell Ash was starting to get irritated.

"Because that's where my dad lost his mind. He came back and suddenly he started acting strange. Next thing we know he's hurting people."

I walked over to him and patted his back. "Do you know where it is though?"

"Yup my dad told me all about it after he returned"

"Then could you maybe tell us?" Ivory called out.

He looked down to the ground. "I can't see more people going crazy"

"But this time we aren't alone like your father was-" I begged.

Ash grabbed my other arm and pulled me. "There's no point. He's not gonna help us!"

I restrained and looked at Tyson longingly. "Please Tyson! I need to help my Earth! It's my only home!"

"There no point Burn. We'll find it ourselves I promise. Even if it takes a century," Ash tried pulling me.

Tyson held my hand. "Please don't. I don't want other people getting hurt."

I pulled it away slowly. "If you really care about us, our happiness matters more than your worry," I quoted. "None of us care about losing ourselves in this battle because the moment we left our homes, we knew that anything could happen to us."

"Burn that's enough, don't beg to somebody who won't help," Ash shouted as he picked me up and carried me to the others.

"Oh come on!" I complained. "I'm not a little baby."

"Well then stop acting like one."

I clumsily caught my balance as Ash dropped me down and we began walking away. I glanced back to Tyson who stood on the grass fields alone and was gazing in the direction of his house.

I glimpsed back ahead realising a tear forming in my eye. I turned around one more time and noticed that he was running towards us.

"Wait a second!"

"He's coming with us guys, wait here!" I shouted as I ran towards Tyson. We looked like a pair of best friends meeting after a long time as I gave him a massive hug. He stared at me for a few seconds and shook his head laughing.

We ran over to the others who stood there exasperated.

"You're coming with us?" I asked, looking hopeful.

He observed me for a few moments and answered, "Yup, but I didn't change my mind because of your cheesy quote."

"Totally."

Ash watched me as I walked in silence at the front. He turned around to Tyson. "You know where you're going right?"

"We just need to keep following this river until we reach the waterfall"

"Can't you like carry us on your back or something?" I asked politely.

"When we ran back then I drained all my strength so it's gonna take a few hours to get it back."

Ash laughed. "So you're a very weak werewolf?"

"Well I haven't gotten to even stand up for a few months so what I did back there was impressive."

We walked alongside of the flowing river in silence when suddenly, despite of the river noise, we heard a voice.

It sounded as if it was wailing and screaming in pain. Everyone around me stood in a stance as if they were ready to fight. I sprinted into the woods leaving everybody confused.

"We should go in cautiously-" I heard Ash start. "But obviously she's already gone."

They hurried behind me and found me kneeling next to a crying rabbit. This rabbit didn't look like Ivory, but he had straighter ears, a skinnier body and large beautiful wings. He had a bandana tied around his ears and his fur looked messy and un-brushed.

"Get away from me!" It screamed as it held a dead bird in his paws.

"Oh, I'm so sorry for loss," I whispered.

"It wasn't my loss, it was our planet's loss"

"How?"

"I didn't even know this creature, but I already know that it would have been an incredible part in our planet's history," it said. I stared at him for a few seconds and pulled him into a big hug.

"What are you doing?! Get off me!" he complained.

I stroked his back and whispered, "You're quite inspiring."

He stopped twitching around and lay there silently. Suddenly he jumped out of my hands. "By the way, I'm James Kang, a forest hunter.

"Oh I've heard about your species, you inspect the forest for damages done by flying around and stuff right?" Ivory questioned as she stepped forward.

James glared at her for a few seconds and answered bitterly, "Well aren't you a smart little bunny?"

"These woods are dangerous; you kids shouldn't be here," he added.

"Yeah well we were just about to get going, nice meeting you," Ash quickly said.

As I turned around to start walking, a loud thunderous noise boomed through our ears which were followed by a large earthquake.

"That was no earthquake kid, that's the sound of your worst nightmare," James whispered loud enough for all of us to hear.

Ivory jumped onto my back in fright. "I'm scared Burn."

"Time for you to run along now!" James screamed.
