After we arrive back to The Playground, Coulson has called all of S.H.I.E.L.D. to a meeting in the landing bay of The B.U.S. to explain our next mission, as I meet up with everyone, I walk over to Skye near four projectors that are set up by Fitz.
"Hey." I smile at Skye, and she turns to look at me.
"Hey." Skye shows me a small smile back.
"Everything alright?" I ask her as she doesn't seem like her cheery self.
"... I just have a bad feeling." Skye admits to me.
"It's going to be alright..." I assure her as I place my right hand on her left cheek "... Just think of it like any other mission." I tell her, and she nods her head hesitantly before I drop my hand from her cheek, and Coulson walks down from the upper level of The B.U.S.
"Here's what we know. H.Y.D.R.A.'s on the move. They have the Obelisk and an expert who knows how to use it. We can't let that happen, obviously." Coulson explains to everyone.
"Use it how?" Hunter speaks up.
"Based on our latest intel, there's something very powerful inside it... A weapon." Coulson explains.
"Are we talking chemical, biological, energy-based..?" Mack lists.
"Could be anything. It's alien." Fitz points out.
"While Simmons and I were undercover at H.Y.D.R.A., Whitehall was looking to create an extinction-level event to kill millions of people. We have to assume that this weapon has the potential to do that." Morse explains.
"Because bad guys love their WMDs. Trick is, to activate the Obelisk, H.Y.D.R.A. has to take it to specific place. It's like they have the keys to launch a nuclear warhead." Coulson explains.
"Now they need the lock, a temple inside the city." I add.
"Any idea where this temple is?" Simmons asks.
"Glad you asked... No. But it's in the city, and we now know where that is. Even better, H.Y.D.R.A. doesn't. Fitz?" Coulson asks him as he steps aside, and Fitz taps on the electronic tablet he is holding in his right hand with his left index finger, making a S.H.I.E.L.D. file come up on the projectors, and I walk up the projectors before opening the file revealing a 3-D projection of the world before I turn to S.H.I.E.L.D.
"On our mission to Australia, we hacked a military satellite network. Using that, we ran a multispectral topographic scan of the Earth, miles deep through the oceanic crust, looking to match ancient rock formations with the 3-D model of the city. And we found this." I explain to them before I zoom in on the projection and turn it landscape to show under the city, which is basically water.
"Isn't that in the Bermuda triangle? 'Cause that would explain a lot." Triplett states.
"Actually, it doesn't have anything to do with the triangle. We solved that back in the '80s." Coulson corrects him.
"Uh, Atlantis?" Triplett suggests.
"Try Puerto Rico." Coulson states, and he makes certain symbols of The Obelisk appear on the map before turning them landscape.
"These white markers represent vertical air shafts that are close to the surface, possible entry points for the city, but most of them are under the ocean floor." I explain to them.
"Except for one..." Coulson trails off as he moves the map to the surface "... Here, in old San Juan, where we'll enter the underground city. A survey team will test the tunnel's structural integrity, then locate the temple." He explains.

"And then what, sir?" Simmons asks him.
"We blow the hell out of it." Coulson states, and many of the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents begin to murmur distinctly.
"What about the Obelisk? It's still dangerous all on its own." Morse explains.
"One crisis at a time." Coulson states.
As I fly to San Juan with Coulson, May, Fitz, Simmons, Skye, Triplett, Hunter, Mack and Morse, I stand with Skye and May as we watch the news on Skye's laptop on a table outside of the briefing room where Senator Ward supposedly committed suicide and murdered his parents at their family get-away home.
"More news on the investigation of the horrific murder-suicide of Massachusetts Senator Christian Ward. F.B.I. sources claim that while the senator did leave a recorded confession, other evidence found at the scene suggests another party may have been involved." The Reporter explains.
"He did it. You know Ward did it." Skye tells us.
"No doubt in my mind." I state.
"The senator should've let us help." Skye states.
"We tried, but he wanted nothing to do with us. All we can do now is try and catch Ward." May explains to us.
"Or put the son of a bitch down." I grit my teeth.
"Change of plans." We hear Coulson say, and we turn around to see Coulson exit the briefing room "We're splitting up the teams." He tells us.
"We're going after Ward?" Skye asks him as Coulson heads to the other side of the briefing room, and we all follow.
"No, we're not. H.Y.D.R.A. found Raina. Tried to grab her in Vancouver." Coulson explains.
"Grab her. Not kill her." May says confused.
"They're grasping. H.Y.D.R.A. knows we found the city. Maybe they think she can help them." Coulson explains.
"We're pulling an extraction." May states.
"And you're leading it." Coulson tells May "I'll head on to the city in the Quinjet with Bobbi, Mack, and Fitz-Simmons. We need to locate that temple." He explains.
"So, you want me to go with them?" I refer to go with Skye and May.
"We're all anxious to see the city, but I'd like you to run point on Raina's interrogation. I think she'll respond to you." Coulson explains to me.
"Yes, sir. We'll spread the word." I refer to myself and Skye before we part ways from Coulson and May.
After Mack and Morse set up the Quinjet May, myself, Skye, Triplett and Hunter are ready to part ways with Coulson, Fitz, Simmons, Mack and Morse as they head to San Juan, and the rest of us are heading to Canada to get Raina and the Koenig brothers.
"Don't die out there, okay?" Morse asks Hunter.
"It's Canada." Hunter assures her before she and Mack head up stairs to go to the Quinjet.
"You two okay?" Coulson asks Fitz and Simmons.
"Yeah." Simmons says as Fitz says "Ready when you are, sir."
"Good. Head on up." Coulson tells them, and Triplett salutes Simmons with his right hand, and she salutes back with her right hand before Fitz and Simmons head up to the Quinjet.
"All right. Time to go. I'll see you in San Juan." Coulson says to the rest of us and Skye suddenly gives Coulson a small hug, surprising all of us.
"See you there... Sir." Skye tells Coulson before Coulson heads up to the Quinjet.

After arriving in Vancouver, May and Hunter take out any H.Y.D.R.A. agents and find Billy Koenig outside the building that we're meeting Sam Koenig and Raina inside of, so I go into the building and up to the room before knocking on the door where there is a small scanner beside it.
"Lanyard, please." I hear Sam shout from the other side of the door, so I take out my lanyard that Billy game me when I first came to The Playhouse, and I scan my lanyard on the scanner and the door unlocks before its opened to reveal Sam and Riana on the other side of the room.
"Come on, Sam. You can't just look through the damn peep hole?" I ask him as I walk inside, and he closes the door after me.
"I'm Billy. Sam's the shorter one." Billy corrects me.
"My apologies, and we need to move. Come on." I tell them before I lead them out of the room with my right hand rested on my gun in my right holster.
Suddenly, Palamas appears with her gun at the ready as we turn into a different hallway, so I grab her rught hand which she holds the gun with my left hand and begin to push her into the walls of the building as she tries to fire at Billy and Raina.
"Go for the stairs!" I tell them.
"Stairs, copy!" Billy tells me before he and Raina head down the hallway.
Palamas then pushes me off of her and goes to shoot me in the face, but I grab her left arm with my right hand and throw her over me, making her drop her gun, but she lands in a crouching position and we both look at the gun that is on the floor between us. We both the go to grab the gun, and we both grab at the same time with our right hands and she throws us through a door into the room on my left, and we both drop the gun before she pushes me against a wall twice with her right, lower arm before I high, right kick her in the chest, making her release me. Palamas then goes to high, left kick me, but I block using my right lower arm. I then right hook her in the stomach before grabbing her right arm with both hands, twisting it and right kicking the back of her right leg, making her kneel as I keep her right arm twisted.
"Stand down, Palamas! We can help you!" I tell her, but she left hooks me in the right side of my face making me loosen my hold, and she runs up one of the walls before using her weight against me and flipping me on my back. I then go to take my gun out of my right holster, but I see her right foot heading towards my face so I jump and flip myself up into a standing position. I then go to try and land a right hook, but she right kicks me in the stomach before left kicking me in the face, knocking me to the ground again.
"I don't need your help." Palamas tells me as I taste a metallic taste in my mouth. Suddenly, Palamas is tackled to the floor and I look up to see Hunter as he stands up and steps away from an unconscious Palamas.
"There's more coming. We need to... What the hell is that?" Hunter points at Palamas face confused as she has the face of May but her left eye is scarred due to the Photostatic veil that is melted to her face.
"May's evil twin, formerly known as Para Palamas: Agent 33." I tell him before I spit blood onto the floor and wipe my mouth with my right sleeve afterwards.
"I thought the Koenig's were creepy." Hunter admits to me as I stand up.
"Tell Coulson we're on our way." I tell him as I begin to leave the room.
"Yes, ma'am." Hunter states as he picks up the gun from the floor with his right hand and follows me.
After meeting Raina at the bottom of the stairwell, myself and Hunter lead them both into the alleyway.
"Corner, two men wearing classic H.Y.D.R.A. black, trying desperately hard not to look conspicuous." I say to them as we stand behind a truck and look through its windows.
"And failing." Hunter adds.
"Where's May?" I ask Hunter.
"Good question. I'll go check." Hunter tells me before he heads out of the alley way as I take my gun out of its right holster with my right hand at the ready.
"S.H.I.E.L.D. must be quite happy. Your plan of dangling me like bait seemed to work." Raina says to me.
"I thought Whitehall wanted to kill you, not kidnap you." I say to her confused.
"Something must've changed his mind." Raina says.
"Maybe he thinks you know something about the Obelisk. How it works." I suggest.
"Are you saying Whitehall has the Diviner?" Raina asks me confused.
"Someone give that girl a new flower dress." I say sarcastically.
"Well, that changes things." Raina states.
"How so?" I ask her confused.
"They don't want to kill me. They need me." Raina tells me.
"Need you for what?" I ask her confused.
"I can hold the Diviner." Raina states.
"You mean the thing that turns people to stone, you can touch it?" I ask her confused.
"You don't believe me." Raina says to me.
"Honestly... No, I don't." I state.
"When you hold it, these symbols appear. There's a pull to them, like a sense of where the Diviner belongs." Raina explains to me.
"Sounds a little 'Harry Potter' to me." I tell her.
"It's alien technology. The Diviner reads your DNA to determine if you're worthy of its power. You'll understand when you and your sister touch it." Raina explains to me.
"No, thanks. I'm not going to let either me or my sister die from that thing." I tell her.
"You wouldn't, not according to your father. He believes you're worthy, too." Raina explains to me.
"Listen, if you think you're gonna trick me into touching that thing, you're as crazy as that monster is." I tell her.
"It's not crazy. It's our destiny." Raina tells me before she makes a run for it towards the H.Y.D.R.A. agents, and I run after her.
"I'm over here! I'm over here!" Raina shouts, and just as I grab her right upper arm in my left hand to stop her, and black van runs over the two H.Y.D.R.A. agents. The van door then slides open to reveal Hunter and one of the Koenig brothers with May in the drivers seat.
"Found May. Get in!" Hunter tells us, and I shove Raina inside with my left hand before I climb inside after her, and Hunter closes the door after me before May drives off.
After making myself, Skye and Raina each a cup of coffee, I take them over to the couch's outside of the briefing room and place them on the coffee table as Raina sits across from Skye holding a S.H.I.E.L.D. I.D. that one of the Koenig brothers made her.
"My very own S.H.I.E.L.D. I.D. We match. I'm sorry for trying to run. I just got swept up in the moment." Raina apologises as I sit on the arm of the couch on Skye's right.
"You're lucky Coulson's the forgiving type." I tell her as I take off my gloves before tucking them behind my holster.
"Actually, I feel very lucky we found each other. Your father's told me so much about you both." Raina says to us.
"It's funny, since we've never met him." Skye states.
"Of course you have. When you were born. You must remember something?" Raina asks me, and Skye also looks to me.
"Just foster care." I state.
"Did you know he actually delivered you both?" Raina asks us.
"That's sweet. He also killed a whole bunch of people. He almost killed our friend Trip." Skye explains.
"Does he get emotional? Yes. Violent, even? Yes. But he's also... Quite misunderstood." Raina explains. Misunderstood is being kind.
"Then help me understand him. Where did you two meet?" Skye asks him.
"Thailand. I was just a petty con artist, scamming tourists, running with a bunch of freaks, as we liked to call ourselves." Raina explains.
"My father was one of your freaks?" Skye asks him.
"No. He took us in, cleaned us up... Showed us we weren't freaks at all. Before I met your father, I was a lost soul with no clue of where I belonged." Raina explains.
"The daughter he never had." Skye states.
"No. No one could ever replace you, Lyra and Skye. You're all he wants. Be honest, haven't you ever felt lost... Or had that feeling that you were part of something bigger? Like you were special?" Raina asks us.
"When you say 'special', what you really mean is 'alien'." Skye says to Raina, almost like a question.
"Is that what you believe? We're human. We just have the potential to be more. But the Diviner? Now, that is most definitely alien." Raina tells us.
"Where do you get this stuff? Our father?" I ask her.
"Partly. But my grandmother came from a long line of special people who believed in a story, about the blue angels that fell from the heavens. The ancients called them the Kree." Raina explains to us.
"And what do the Kree want?" I ask her warily.
"Change. That's why they left the Diviner, as a guide to the temple, so the worthy would inherit the Earth." Raina explains.
"And do you know where this temple is?" I ask her.
"That's what the Diviner shows you. Only the worthy are allowed inside to witness its true power." Raina explains to us.
"And what happens to the people who aren't worthy?" I ask her.
"I hope they've said their goodbyes." Raina tells us.
After finishing up the conversation with Raina, right now myself and Skye head into the briefing room where May is.
"We can't let them go down there, May. We have to stop them." I tell May as I look at the city on the computer table.
"Calm down. You can't let Raina get into your head." May tells us.
"She's not lying. Look, she said the Diviner was meant to guide the worthy to the temple. You see this? It's the same symbol I saw on the Obelisk. It's got to be the temple." I tell her as I point to where the temple is in the city.
"You're sure?" May asks me.
"Trust me. It is seared into my brain." I assure her.
"We have to warn Coulson now. Something bad is about to happen." Skye tells us as she tries to call Coulson on the computer table, but there's no signal "Damn it! Why isn't this working?" She says angrily.
"Getting some kind of interference." I state.
"S.H.I.E.L.D. 6-1-6... Do not engage your defenses, or you will be shot out of the sky." An incoming transmission takes over the computers.
"Whitehall." May states, and Triplett, Raina, Billy, Hunter and Sam make their way into the briefing room.
"There's H.Y.D.R.A. Quinjet's outside the windows on both sides." Triplett. tells us.
"Then let's step on it, shall we?" Hunter asks us.

This story is abandoned and has not been authorized for distribution on any sites but RoyalRoad. Given the Gamer ability after shattering a crystal inside a game, Jon's world is upturned as he is thrown into a life he considered fantasy. Making new enemies and encountering a god, he cannot escape the quest which is forced on him. Different worlds and different situations, can he come out on top? He's neither perfect nor a saint, he is Jon. Welcome to Gamer. This has been dropped, I didn't like the way I forced a few plotpoints and I lost my notes on the story itself. Read below if you want to be spoilered. As far as I recall, he would change race into a higher human after using a spell to overload his mana repeatably until his body forcibly adapts, he would train up his rift usage spell with some better targets than God's Realm because he keeps hitting his stats limit until the cost lowers enough that he can actually grind it. His world is being invaded by multiple worlds, so the god had many backup plans where a lot of people went into their own fantasy settings and came back to defend Earth. Jon never is the strongest one out there, he has to keep grinding and grinding before he gets stronger than the other heroes, and at that point the invasion is nearing the final stretch. Jon's two biggest advantages is that he can keep grinding without hitting a cap he can't evolve, and that even when he is eventually killed. He would have respawned in the nearest 'Safe Zone' after dropping a level and everything he did to gain that level. I also had a bunch of ideas for mini-arcs where he would play in multiple worlds in multiple situations, not that great of an idea in retrospect.
