After sitting with Skye and Raina with our wrists handcuffed as the Quinjet takes off, I look to the front windshield to see that the pilot drives forward for a few moments before de-touring back towards The B.U.S.
"I though you said no gets hurt?" I ask Ward angrily.
"No one is." Ward stands up confused as he heads towards the pilots who are getting ready to what looks like to fire.
"You bastard." I say as I stand, and five other H.Y.D.R.A. agents stand up as I make my way to the pilot, and one goes grab my cuffed wrists, but I right high kick him in the jaw sending him flying backwards and to the floor, and behind me two agents grab my arms from behind, and I try and get out of their grip when I feel someone's arm go around my throat tightly.
"Lyra?!" I hear Skye shouts, but as I begin to loose oxygen, I gasp as I try to rip their arm off, and I look up to see Ward.
"Don't worry, I'll wake you up when we get there." Ward says before I forcefully pass out.
As I begin to regain consciousness, I squint my eyes open as I feel freedom on my wrists as I lay down on something soft.
"Good morning." I hear Ward's voice, and without hesitation I jump onto my feet and scan my eyes around the room until I see Ward standing with two agents behind him next to a door, and I look to see I was laying on a couch.
"Where's my sister?" I demand.
"Your father was very eager to see her. I gootta say, I like the new look." Ward smiles at my suit, and I only grow angrier.
"Where is my sister?!" I demand louder, and Ward and the agents step aside and motion for me to walk through the door "You first." I tell him.
"Fine." Ward tells me before he motions agents to leave first, and they do so before Ward follows, and I follow after him until they lead my down the hallway and Ward motions to inside a room with the door closed "In here." He tells me, and I don't hesitate before I open the door and walk into see Skye and my father sitting on a couch with their back to us, but they immediately turn to us.
"Lyra." Skye sighs thankfully as she stands up and rushes over to me, and Ward and the agents walk inside as my father stands up and smiles at me. I then swiftly take Ward's gun out of his right holster with my right hand and aim it at my father before I pull Skye behind me with my left hand clamped on her right wrist.
"Katëryna-" My father tries to say, but I cut him off when I fire a bullet beside his head, and it hits the wall behind him as tears fill my eyes.
"Lyra, put the gun down." Ward says to me.
"Shut up!" I shout.
"I'm not here to hurt you." My father tries to assure me.
"You already did, twenty-four years ago!" I shout at him, and his face falls with sorrow.
"You remember?" My father asks sadly.
"How could I forget, you tried to kill me!" I shout at him as a tear falls down my right cheek.
"Lyra. what are you talking about?" Skye asks me confused.

"It was an accident, I lost control-" My father tries to say, but I cut him off.
"-An accident? How is this..." I trail off as I release Skye before I unzip part of my suit to reveal the wounds he left me with "... An accident?!" I shout at him, and tears begin to well in his own eyes, and Skye steps away from me slightly as she looks at my scars.
"I'm so sorry." My father apologises as more agents enter the room, and they all aim their guns at me.
"They wont hesitate to shoot, Lyra." Ward tells me, and I continue to glare at my father before I hesitantly press the button on the gun that release the clip and the clip falls out and onto the floor before I drop the gun on the floor, and I pull Skye behind me again.
"Get him out of here." I tell ward as I refer to my father.
"No, please." My father begs as the agents now turn their guns onto him.
"Mr. Whitehall is ready for you." Ward says to my father, and he sighs annoyed and angrily before he follows a few agents out. I then quickly wipe away my tears with my right hand before and release Skye "Wait here." He tells us before he and all of the agents leave the room and leave myself and Skye alone.
"Is this door locked?" I ask Skye as I walk over to the other side of the room and try the door handle with my right hand, but it's locked.
"Twenty-four years?" I hear Skye ask, and I hesitantly turn around to her to see her face is full of disappointment "You knew everything, to probably every question I've ever wondered." She says to me as tears fill her eyes.
"I lied to you, to protect-" I try to say but she cuts me off.
"-To protect me. I've always known that you lie to others to protect them, but I am your sister." Skye explains to me.
"My baby sister. My baby sister whom's heart would have been crushed or may have never believed me and called me crazy if I told her the truth." I explain to her as more tears fill my eyes.
"I'm not a baby anymore, I don't want you to protect me." Skye shakes her head at me.
"You may not want it, but you've always needed it. When I was four years-old, I made the hardest decision of my life. I vowed that I would be there for anything and everything that would come after you because I love you. I've lied to every person I have ever known because one way or another it has benefited for me to make sure you have the best life I can give you. I lie to you, to protect you. I lie to you, because I love you, Skye." I explain to her as tears fall down my cheeks "Please don't hate me." I beg of her as tears fall down her cheeks.
"... No more lies?" Skye asks me, and I nods without hesitation.
"Never again, I will explain everything, soon, I promise." I promise before I walk over to her and hug her tightly, and she hugs me back "I love you." I say to her.
"I love you, too." Skye tells me before I slowly pull away, and I wipe my tears away before I begin to wipe hers away.

"Now, we need to put our bitch faces on because if Whitehall is on the other side of that door. We aren't weak, we are Johnson's. We're sisters. We are Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.." I explain to her.
"Forever." Skye smiles at me.
"Forever." I promise her before I kiss her forehead, and two agents enter the room.
"Come with us." One of the agents tell us, and I look to Skye.
"Come on." I say to her as I take my left hand in her right hand before we follow them, and we walk into a larger room where Ward, Raina, Palamas, our father and Whitehall are already there.
"How do they fit in?" Whitehall looks to myself and Skye as we enter the room.
"I needed insurance that S.H.I.E.L.D. wouldn't blow us out of the sky." Ward states.
"But you also ordered that the S.H.I.E.L.D. plane shouldn't be shot down. I had to counter that order myself. I have a theory as to why they're here." Whitehall explains before Palamas holds up a metal brief case before opening it to reveal The Obelisk "I'd like you both to pick it up." He says to myself and Skye.
"You first." I tell him as I release Skye's hand and step in front of her, and two guards aim their guns at Skye's and myself's head.
I then glance back at Skye to see her glancing around at the guards warily, and without hesitation I swiftly take The Obelisk in my right hand and step away from her, prepared for what to come, but instead I feel something extraordinary. I then look down to The Obelsik to see it glows the symbols that resembles the map of the temple. I then swiftly press it to a guards face, and he groans before he collapses to the floor. My father then takes out a scalpel and stabs a guard in the throat and then letting him fall to the ground, wounded. Ward then takes out his gun and aims it at some of the other agents as all of the other agents, including Palamas aims their guns at the four of us as I still hold The Obelisk.
"I hope you're both as special as your mother." Whitehall says to myself and Skye. Raina then walks over to me and takes The Obelisk from me with her right hand, and one of the agents take Wards gun from him, leaving him unarmed "I'll confess... I didn't recognize you when you first barged into my office." He says to my father.
"If my daughters weren't here, I would tear you and your men to pieces." My father threatens Whitehall.
"Well, then, I'll add that to the number of reasons that I'm glad they're here." Whitehall says before he looks to Ward "You are the piece of the puzzle that I can't decipher. Why are you really here?" He asks Ward.
"Is it really that hard to see?" Raina speaks up "It's love. Agent Ward believes if he helps Lyra fulfill her destiny, she'll see him for who he really is." She explains as I feel Ward's eyes on me.
"Aww. It's a pity that you won't get to fulfill that destiny, or that after all these years, you won't get your vengeance for what I did to your wife." Whitehall says to my father before one of the agents knock him out with the back of their gun, and he falls to the ground unconscious "Secure him. Remain alert around Agent Ward. He's a trained killer one of the best." He says as the agents handcuff Ward, and two guards each grab mine and Skye's arms "I have a feeling that, in time, I can make you comply." He says to Ward.
After the agents took us down to what looks like the kitchen, Ward is tied to a chair with Palamas aiming a gun at him as at the other side of the room is Skye and myself tied to a chair with our father laying unconscious on the floor, but he seems to be waking up.
"Did he hurt you?" Our father asks myself and Skye, but I look in any other direction but as Whitehall walks into the room with an agent.
"Oh, good. You're awake." Whitehall smiles, and my father turns to face him.
"I've waited years for this." My father says, but Whitehall suddenly pulls out a small remote and presses a button, and my father falls to his hands and knees as a small disk on the left side of his neck begins to electrocute him, and he falls to the ground weakly.
"Do you know what your mother's special gift was?" Whitehall asks Skye and myself, but I only glare at him "She didn't age. At least, not like the rest of us. I wonder if that's your gift, as well, or if you're special in another way." He crouches down in front of us "Discovery requires experimentation. I killed your wife. And before I kill you, I want you to watch what I do to your daughters." He says to my father before yelling is heard in echoes "Stay here." He tells the agent before he and Palamas leave, and we begin to hear distant gun fire.
"Hey. Hear that? They're coming for us." Ward begins to distract the agent.
"I saw how many guys you have on your side. You are sorely outnumbered, my friend. Tell you what. Let me go now. I'll tell them take it easy on you. Maybe cut off an ear, pop an eye." Ward rambles on to the agent as my father stands up.
"Shut up." The agent tells Ward as our father begins to sneak up on the agent.
"Just trying to be helpful. I'm a lot nicer than he's gonna be." Ward says before our father snaps the agent's neck "You're welcome. Now, let's get out of here." He says to my father.
"Yeah, us, too! Come on!" Skye calls.
"I'd rather die than get saved by that monster." I murmur.
"It's safer here. And I'm about to do something to Whitehall. I don't want you to see me like that." My father explains to Skye.
"I don't mind... Seeing. Hell, I'm happy to help." Ward tells my father.
"No. I get to do this myself." My father says before he runs after Whitehall.
"What! Hey!" Skye calls after him.
After Ward threw his chair back and used the unconscious agents' belt knife to cut his wrists and ankles free, Ward rushes over to myself and Skye and begins to cut the zip-ties off of my ankles and wrists.
"I'm sorry your little family reunion didn't go as planned. The least I can do is get you out of here." Ward apologises to me before he finishes cutting me free, and he cuts Skye free. After Ward finishes cutting Skye, we both stand up "Sit down while I check the door." Ward says before he runs over to the doorway to check, but Skye and myself follow him anyways and I take the unconscious agents' gun from the floor with my right hand before looking at Ward to see he has his back turned to us. I then shoot him three times in his right abdomen before he falls to the floor in pain.
"Never turn your back on the enemy. That was your main learning objective, Ward." I tell Ward before myself and Skye leave him and walk out of the room.
As we walk down a hall way and past a dead Whitehall, we enter what looks like an old music room where our father is hovering over Coulson and beating him to a pulp.
"Stop it! Stop it or I'll shoot! 爸爸 [Papa]!" I shout, and he stops and looks up at me as I aim my gun at him.
"He took something from me." Our father says to us.
"No. He saved you from killing more people. Now, get up and get away from him." I tell him and our father slowly stands up and steps away from Coulson.
"You have to finish what we started." Our father says to myself and Skye.
"No, we don't. we're not going down there. we're not gonna change or transform or whatever the hell you think is gonna happen." I tell him.
"Why can't you see it's a good thing?" Our father asks me.
"Maybe it's all the dead bodies laying around or the fact that H.Y.D.R.A. wants it. I'm gonna make sure the Obelisk never gets down into that city. And you're gonna leave. This is your one chance to walk away, or I will kill you. I walked away with Skye the first time, now your going to walk away and never look back." I explain to him.
"Okay. I'll go. But I'll be waiting for you. After you change, no one else will understand. They'll be afraid. Change is terrifying. But I'm your father, and I love you. I will always love you, Katëryna and Daisy." Our father explains to us before he turns and walks away, and once he leaves the room, I drop my gun as Skye runs to Coulson's aid.
"I'm so sorry. I couldn't kill him." I apologise as I take out the clip to show I have no bullets left.
"We're going to find The Obelisk." Skye states as she stands up from a wounded Coulson.
"Your right, we've got to stop the drill." I agree with Skye.
"No, don't." Coulson tells us.
"If we don't go, millions of people will be killed, sir." I tell Coulson before myself and Skye head to the basement where the drill should be.
After arriving in the basement, we arrive at what looks like a small construction sight, and I pick up a flashlight on a near table with my right hand and turn it on to see that there is a large whole is the ground with a rope going down it, and there is also an empty briefcase that The Obelisk was in earlier, but now its gone.
"Oh God, Raina." I sigh annoyed.
After myself and Skye go down into the temple, I lead the way which is any way as I don't know where we are going as I use the flashlight to guide us, but I stop walking when I see someone with their back towards us.
"Mack?" I ask as I step closer "You scared the hell out of us. What are you doing down here?" I ask him confused as I touch his right upper arm with my right hand, but he doesn't move "Mack?!" I shout, and he suddenly turns to us with blood red eyes.
"Oh my God." Skye sighs.
"Okay. Okay, come on. Come we got to get out of here." I tell him as I try to move him by pulling on his left arm with my right hand, but he doesn't budge.
"Mack. Mack!" Skye pushes Mac kon his chest to move, but he doesn't as if he's compelled to stay there.
"We're going come back. We're going to come back, Mack. Okay? Come on." I tell Skye, and she nods before we both head through the Temple and leave Mack. We then walk into a room surrounded by pillars with a spotlight from outside shining down onto a pedestal, and Raina is standing beside it as she holds The Obelisk in her right hand.
"I knew you'd come." Raina smiles at us.
"Somebody has to stop you." Skye tells her.
"Your whole lives... Our whole lives have been leading to this moment." Raina tells us.
"My apologies, but we don't buy into the whole 'this is your destiny' thing. We're taking the Obelisk, and we're leaving. There are too many lives at stake." I explain to her.
"You've got it all wrong. Whitehall, everyone has got it all wrong. This doesn't destroy. It gives life... New life. We finally get to find out what we become." Raina explains before The Obelisk begins to show and glow it's symbols.
"Make it stop." I tell her.

And considering even Death itself didn't stop him, he pities whoever gets in his way. ================== Tags: Naruto, Reincarnation, OC, eventual multi-cross. ================== Author's (Brief) Note: Back by popular demand. This was my first significant fanfic (and fic in general). I wasn't happy with the writing as time went on, and took it down, but years later am still getting requests to put it back up so I guess some people liked it. Newly re-released as I finish some minor editing, there are about 100,000 words (~360 RRL pages) already written, so releases should be fast until I catch up with the backlog. That said, it may languish in hiatus at that point if the interest isn't high enough to merit continuing, so if you're the type to only read finished stories (or ones where the author promises to do so), I am very specifically not promising that. On the other hand, if enough people read, like, review, comment, rate, etc. then it will get added to my writing schedule. Generally, the character is based on a “how badass could someone who hasn't done ridiculously crazy shit be? Or, how does someone with the potential, in another setting, with a lot of luck, to be a badass act and develop as a modern, productive member of society? And then how would they deal with the Naruto-verse?” Please, please do not judge my writing by this. Unless you really like it, in which case fine, do, but recognize my other writing is likely better (unless it’s that one MTG/ASoIaF/SW fic I did over on SB as a speed-writing experiment, which is also pretty terrible).
