《Orion》30

It was a wild, harsh thunderstorm, rain drops splashing, making the surface of the earth wet, while the distant but ferocios lightning marks charged the clouds.
Enough to leave terror in the eyes of a baby, but not over here in the silent throne room of Cedric.
As the flash of the lightning shone in the dark room, it reflected in his eyes, for once, clouding the darkness which rested there.
His fingers stroked his chin lightly, while he awaited the arrival of the two huntsmen he sent out to assassinate Orion.
It would have been much of a pleasure to kill him himself, but seeing as to how dangerous it was going out there, he had to send peasants to do his dirty work.
An enormous bounty had been put out there for Orion.
Cedric, barely anticipated the good news of him going down.
The door to throne room suddenly tore open, and in walked the two men, Elias and Rolf, whom he sent out on the mission.
They approached him slowly with quivering lips and trembling fingers.
Refusing to match their eyes with his, due to the fear which filled their hearts, they looked away.
"I reckon you to keep your lips sealed if it's not the news I'm expecting" Cedric spoke in a very low voice, his eyes staring out the throne-room windows which had rain drops splattering on them, keeping the glass foggy, preventing one from seeing all that's beyond the castle.
"M-My lord, w-we tried" Elias stuttered.
"Silence!" Cedric roared.
He rose from his throne immediately, finally resting his eyes on them, anger radiating from his rage-filled soul.
"You had just one job" He spoke in a low voice.
"How hard was it?" He added.
He moved towards the men, watching his boots as he walked with his head faced down.

His eyes moved up slowly, standing feet away from them, loving the fear he saw in their eyes.
"I appreciate your service" He faked a smile at the men, smacking his lips and then clenching his teeth.
He took out a bag of gold coins from his tunic and then dropped it at the feet of the men.
"Here's your reward" He spoke.
"My lord, thank you!" The men acknowledged.
Their hands were placed together as they bowed before Cedric, feeling grateful towards him.
Their smile and joy was gone in an instant as they heard the dark voice of Cedric speak.
"Feed them to the boars" He commanded his guards.
"N-no no, no! My lord, please, give us one more chance. We'll have his head on your plate. His blood in your cup, feasting on his body!"
The men begged and begged while being dragged away, but their pleas went unnoticed as Cedric already had his back turned on them moving towards his throne with not a single compassion in him.

Magician's Pact
A young boy with a special key finds himself caught up with an old wizard, an ancient prohpecy, and a possibly conspercy. This sounds like the sort of thing most childern would love to be a part of, but there are just three small problems. The first is that he is not the hero. Someone already got that role. The second is that he isn't a wizard. He is a Magician which complicates things. The third is that there might be a chance that the whole 'problem' might be comming from his end. Personally he never understood (or interacted with) the 'secret' magical world, but that becomes a problem when the magical world apparently has what his role is supposed to be according to their ancient book... and they are not to happy about him not matching their book. Still it shouldn't be to hard right? All he has to do is go to a school, learn some wizard magic, make sure nobody takes his key... also avoid dying. Thankfully he has had a lot of expereince with that last part and a bunch of Twig Twirling childern can't be too dangerious? Right?
