《Orion》29

"We'll be doomed if anyone gets to the Wispy meadows right before we do"

A worried Orion paced around, the eyes of Sonora watching him as he clenched his teeth.

"I can't believe those men were on our trail for days" Aiden spoke.

"Cedric has spies everywhere. And right now, we're all not safe"

"Who knows what's out there waiting for us. Ready to draw an ambush, just to stop us from getting the staff of Geneorah.

I suggest we take rest for a while. Go into town, get some clothes and food. Have some rest, and at least cut our trail" Pavlos uttered to Aiden.

"Have you gone nuts?!" Orion cut in immediately.

"There are people are out there trying to get to the Wispy meadows before we do, and you suggest we take a pause?" He said.

"And what do you say we do, starve ourselves on our way there?" Pavlos interjected, his voice raising at each word he pronounced.

"If Cedric acquires that staff, everyone's gone. Including you and I, if you haven't figured out. We need to journey across the seven valleys, and free Zeno from that palace"

"And that can only happen with the staff of Geneorah. The staff belonging to Zeno!. Only then will this quest be accomplished, Cedric defeated, and we can all go back to our boring lives. Sure what you want" Orion yelled back at Pavlos.

His boots stomped on twigs and leaves as he paced around the woods which they were now presently in.

"Orion" A voice called softly.

He stopped pacing immediately, taking a pause, with his back turned to her, listening to what she had to say.

He was so certain it was Bellona speaking, he could tell from how light and calm the voice sounded.

"Pavlos is right" She began.

"We all need to rest and gather ourselves together"

"The horses need to be fed. We all won't get anywhere traveling on empty stomachs and conflicted hearts"

"There's a town nearby. Woodhill. We could all go there, get some clothes, food, and a place to rest our heads just for the night"

"Please" She called softly.

A low sigh escaped his lips, hearing her speak.

He didn't want to agree with her, but most especially, didn't want to argue with her.

Turning around slowly, his eyes met with her own soft ones.

He looked away immediately, refusing to hold the gaze for long.

She waited for him to say something, but instead, he jumped on his horse, gripping the reins tightly in his fingers, waiting for the others to ascend theirs.

In less than a moment, they were all riding away, journeying off to Woodhill.
